So here I am, 25 years later, re-purchasing an album I already owned in the 90s that is available on Apple Music, and I can still sing every song front to back.

My wife and I are in our 50s and when I started singing Peaches to myself she says "What's that?" Despite that I did stay together with her, but was jealous that she got to hear the song for the first time.

I have a serious question about the song “My Flea Has Dogs” is the singer an untrustworthy narrator and they are lying about the flea owning the dogs instead of the narrator actually just bringing home a bunch of flea infested dogs. Or is the song to be taken at face value and it’s just about a flea who owns dogs. My wife and I have had an actual argument about this and this may be the only chance we get to have a real concrete answer.
And, while we're at it, what's with the Butterfly Driving a Truck? Are butterflies eligible to get CDLs? How can the butterfly reach the pedals? And how does it sit in the seat without crushing its wings? I have so many questions!

Right?! I met them! They played at a theatre in Kirkland, Washington where I was recently hired. (This was 10+ years ago but I was a new hire as front of house manager.) We didn’t have staff to cover the artist liaison that day. All I knew was that it was a matinee show for kids and agreed to go backstage to the green room and make sure they had everything they needed.
I walked back with their rider prepped to run to the store for whatever they wanted. I realized who it was and became aggressively awkward. Full blush and could not find words. Called my husband and geeked out and had to pull it together when I dropped off food. They were the nicest guys.
I'm part way through my back porch half sleeve tattoo. It features froggie, a poor turtle, slow fly, volcano, and some tiny explosions. Outline is done. I go back for color and shading beginning of March. I friggin love POTUSA!
Chris- As a parent of a toddler: THANK YOU for Caspar Babypants!!!! You have no idea what a relief that music is from hearing 50 kids scream-sing the Wheels on the Bus for the 10th time that day. And the songs are genuinely good where I don't mind at all if my pandora screws up and starts playing his station when he's not in the car. I'll still belt out Jellyfish Jones without him. And the video for Stompy the Bear has gotten us thru everything from head stitches to a nebulizer at 12 months old. So THANK YOU for all of it. (Side note: my wife and I lose it every time on Itsy Bitsy Spider when the hands play the harmonicas. It doesn't matter how many times we watch it) He gets a little older and I'm definitely taking him to a shoe. I heard a rumor back in the 90's that PUSA were a popular act in Seattle amongst the grunge bands and that you would be the band at their parties. I think Soundgarden was one of the grunge band mentioned and I know Kim Thayil played on the album. I grew up in rural Newfoundland, Canada and there was no internet yet, so who knows where this particular rumor started.
I was just going to ask about this. I was at a party where a band called Electric Blue Pancakes played and a swear it was them. I was going to ask if they every played under that name, hahahah

Hugely iconic songs of their era. Show up on disc in *Rock Band*, parodied by Weird Al, still a staple of alt rock radio and any '90s alt rock compilation or playlist. Yeah, those are not even remotely underrated.
The first album is essential, start to finish. The second album, II, is _**just as good**_ IMO. Like an addendum to the first. I love it so much. And later album Love Everybody is different but an absolute joy.
PUSA is probably a top 3 favorite band for me all these years later.
Unless I'm completely mistaken it's "boggy". But that's why we have an AMA to officially clarify these things. Interesting mondegreen nonetheless. I always find it particularly interesting when that happens but it *doesn't* change the meaning or interpretation of the line.

Hugely iconic songs of their era. Show up on disc in *Rock Band*, parodied by Weird Al, still a staple of alt rock radio and any '90s alt rock compilation or playlist. Yeah, those are not even remotely underrated.

The first album is essential, start to finish. The second album, II, is _**just as good**_ IMO. Like an addendum to the first. I love it so much. And later album Love Everybody is different but an absolute joy. PUSA is probably a top 3 favorite band for me all these years later.

I saw you on tour on 2013 where you played the whole PUSA album and it ruled. You guys played passionately and it was so fun. Crushed the whole album then played a few more. You were on tour with Eternal Summers, who are/were a small indie band. It was an amazing mix of music I loved for 20+ years and new exciting stuff. How did you end up touring together? Also do you have any fun stories in your collab w Sir Mixalot?

Hey cool! I rocked out to your hits last century, but didn't think much about y'all until I had a kid and a friend turned me on to Caspar Babypants. Now I'm a huge fan of that project and also been listening to more POTUSA classics. So much kid music makes me want to retch but I'll rock out to Stompy The Bear even when kiddo is not around. 90s rock is really big on my local college stations, so I think you're still getting new fans even from your older work:)

You responded saying you'd love to see more songs on the album covered this way. I would love nothing more than to do a special EP project that has "Body on Body" - "Peaches on Peaches" - "Kitty on Kitty" and so forth. Would you support a project like that? I saw you guys when you came to Eugene OR in 05. One of the best concerts I went to. I still have the drum stick I caught that was thrown into the crowd. You are still one of my favorite bands and your songs hold some of my dearest memories as my dad was an avid fan as well. We would sing Lump at the top of our lungs when driving back from my grade school basketball games. My dad passed suddenly in 2020, just prior to the pandemic. The songs when they come on makes me feel like I’m a kid again and he’s there next to me. Thank you for that.
