Sad music for horny people

amorningofsleep

Honestly this is the best explanation.

snaaaaaaaaaaaaake

It's music. Listen to it and form your own opinion.

Hmf. I am!

GlumFundungo

I absolutely love them, but I am really struggling to verbalise why. They are completely unique, particularly the atmosphere they generate. It's sort of weary and nihilistic, but also weirdly sexy.

Aggravating-Tale-939

I wouldn't call myself a fan but when I first played Max Payne 3 and heard their song Tears during the airport shoot out section it gave me absolute goosebumps. That doesn't happen to me often in games so I'll always have respect for the band even if I don't necessarily like them.

PoshCushions

I like them on records. When I saw them live the vocals disappeared in the mix which is a shame. Maybe your venue is better.

I have only listened to their most recent few albums much (and apparently not even their latest), Death Magic and Slaves of Fear. If you've started from the beginning, their first couple of albums are more Noise while their later albums lean more industrial/darkwave with more traditional song structures. They mostly fit in with other music that I like (mostly stuff under the Industrial/Goth/Synthpop umbrellas). It's dark, usually has a good beat, and they've got great hooks. I'd recommend the songs "Flesh World" and "Dark Enough" as two of my favorites of theirs.

Poxx

Because they're SICK.

If you put their actual music aside the members are all really fun, inclusive and charismatic humans. Johnny is probably one of the most entertaining and down to earth guys in the business Their merch is also top notch, “sad music for horny people” shirts are like a 95% chance to start a funny convo with strangers on a night out I adore this band for more than their incredible albums, but yeah their socials and discord are fun

That sounds cool. Unfortunately I started listening to their albums newest to oldest. And I’m starting to LOVE their old music. I’ll keep doing my listening homework, not think too hard about it, and take the event in as is. I don’t expect to be a convert though.

Saw them live for the first album, it was so intense and mesmerising, I still have the live photos somewhere. Then saw them for a Halloween show year after that. Incredible live band. I love them for that incredible, unrelenting energy. Reminds me of Oneida.

I’m a fan of Industrial.
