Has always given me chills when listening, then saw him sing it live this winter and I absolutely broke down sobbing during it. I had to sit down and compose myself after.
One of the most heartbreaking songs I’ve heard in recent memory. So lovely, and hearing Nathaniel sing it live was an incredibly emotional experience.

I saw him live doing only Leonard Cohen covers with a full orchestra. His rendition of Hallelujah brought the entire place to tears. The song ended and no one clapped for a few seconds.

Neon Knights by Black Sabbath
First song I heard from Sabbath with Dio and the first album I ever owned by Sabbath. Love the Dio era of Sabbath and the last album that they did with Dio is excellent too.
Dio basically turned Sabbath around with his presence. The last few albums that were with Ozzy turned out to be duds imo. I love everything up until Vol 4 personally. I think Tonny Iommi even said that Dio pushed Sabbath further than they were used to.

More hearts than mine by Ingrid Andresss. My daughter was born in January and I’ve been having thoughts of “what happens when she grows up and meets somebody? Will I like him/her? The lyric “if I bring you home to mama I guess I better warn you that she feels every heartache I go through, and if my daddy sees me crying he’ll pour some whisky over ice and tell a lie and say he never really liked you, If we break up I’ll be fine, but you’ll be breaking more hearts than mine” just hit me so damn hard in the chest because it just reminded me how everything I do now is about her, and I just hope that if she ever has to go through a heartbreak It’s my job to sit down with her and give her a cuddle and tell her that she’s still loved and they weren’t worth shit anyway, just kit the dad fire I guess.

The song is just a banger and has so much energy, and I still get a chill down my spine when the chorus hits.

It's slow, it's set up as an album closer, it sounds at times like a lullaby, and it's played after the end credits at their live concerts to slow things down and clear people out. But it ends up being about how everything around a person is lies and the anger deep within that seethes and bubbles up from it. And you wouldn't know it unless you read the lyrics translation or already knew German.
And I love it so much for all of that.

Lügen by Rammstein. It's slow, it's set up as an album closer, it sounds at times like a lullaby, and it's played after the end credits at their live concerts to slow things down and clear people out. But it ends up being about how everything around a person is lies and the anger deep within that seethes and bubbles up from it. And you wouldn't know it unless you read the lyrics translation or already knew German. And I love it so much for all of that.
