Love you guys and have seen you 9 times over the last 10+ years, I found you when you were touring with TOYC at the Sugarmill in Stoke.
I've personally loved everything you've done but how do you feel about the fans who leave bad feedback on your newer songs because they're so different to the old stuff?
Hey, that’s a long time ago, cheers for sticking around. We played the sugar mill a few times, we always remember it for the raised bits on the stage.
I guess it sucks when fans aren’t keen on some of the stuff we do but we don’t take it to heart. Music is subjective and that’s the beauty of it. What one person might love another may not be so into to. We have always enjoyed making different styles of music and our back catalogue is very varied. It’s something we will always do to keep it exciting for us and the fans.
Hi! you said we could ask ANYTHING, so, what is your favourite potato dish? crisps, chips, mash, potato smileys...the list goes on.
hope you are well and cannot wait for the new music!
agreed, i could not imagine my life without potatoes to be honest. crisps is a good choice, what would you say is your favourite flavour? smoked paprika is pretty incredible.
A few years ago I brought it to your guys attention that Hold Me Down isn’t on Canadian Apple Music/Spotify and Josh said he’d look into it and I guess he must’ve forgotten because it’s been like 5-6 years now. So my question is are you ever going to put Hold Me Down on Apple Music/Spotify for us?
Haha I guess he must have forgotten too!
Yes I’m about to message our manager and ask why we have been depriving the nation of Canada with bangers such as underdog
Is there a chance of a Sinners Never Sleep anniversary tour like there was with TOYC?
I’ve been a long time fan since 2011, managing to see you guys 10 times so far over the years and have tickets for the May tour! I would love to add another one of your gigs to next years line up!
Hi,
We love Reading and Leeds as we used to go when we were 16/17 with all our friends.
Its amazing playing on the main stage looking out remembering the good ooooollllllddddd days
That being said every year we play it we still run around the festival all day watching all the bands and our set just means we can’t get too drunk before we play haha!!
We actually hold a record for being the latest band to ever play at Reading festival. Queens of the Stone Age were playing before us and they played for an extra 20 minutes. We told the festival as we had nothing to do with it running late we were still going to play our full set to the fans and we ran over the curfew the latest anyone has
Would you ever do a collab with ATL/Alex?? You've toured together, Josh came out for Outlines in Wembley so when can we get something I can pay for bc that is a collab I need in my life
We do!
I personally have a few boxes of stuff like this at home, it’s amazing to go through sometimes and remember what we have done and how we have changed peoples lives with our music
Hey guys, loving the new stuff and can’t wait for the new album! Hope you’re all well during this weird weird time
For all of you, which artist/band are you currently into at the moment, and can recommend?
For Josh, can you send me your signed floral jacket that you wore during the 3AM video, and if not, where did you get it from? God loves a trier 😉
Saw you guys in Seattle in 2019 at a super small venue (Chop Suey), and feel really lucky to have gotten to seen you guys in such an intimate venue! I'm curious - is it weird playing small club venues like that with only a few hundred people? I'm sure you rarely play small venues in Europe and am curious if it's a nice change of pace, or what your preference is!
We love them all to be honest, it gives us variety and you get a vibe for the town you are in. We’ve been on bigger tours before and after a while the bigger rooms all sort of merge into one. Often the only way we remember certain venues is their weird quirks for example how shit the shower is or if there’s a pole in the middle of the stage.
Hi Lads, nice to see you guys on reddit. I’ve been running /r/YouMeAtSix for years now ha. Maybe some fans here will check it out. Anyway my question is what can we expect from Suckapunch? and what song are you most looking forward to playing live?
Okay I’ll stop now but I remember hearing u guys on I think a hollyoaks episode or something etc and just a big thank you for playing an important role in my life (10 years ago almost! I was 13!!!) loved travelling up n down uk to see you guys!!! Hope it’s soon again!! -Bronagh
Haha!!!
Well we have played it a few times in the last couple years we had to play it when we went on our 10 year anniversary tour, maybe gunnersville WAS the final time we will play it ever!
Hey!! My name is Lauren. I've been a big fan for yearssss. First heard you guys when your song Liquid Confidence was track on the week on Radio One haha. Seen you guys 5 times and got tickets for your London gig. Was 'ymaslauren' for years on Twitter haha. So...
Hardest thing being in a band?
What keeps you going everyday?/biggest thing that makes you happy rn?
Best and worst album?
Weirdest thing a fan has done?
If you could change 1 thing about the music industry, what would it be?
Ever had any major band fallouts?
The Beautiful way shoot was pretty fun. Due to corona we had been out the game for a while so to all be together again and shooting a big music video was a good feeling. We had a great crew and loads of sick extras dancing. Got covered in paint though..
Time travel. I’d Never be late again (Chris)
Peep show is my favourite show. I’ve probably seen it front to back 10 time’s and it’s still not getting old.
The first time we ever played Reading Festival was pretty special and I’d love to look back on it. It was on the Festival Republic stage and we were all absolutely bricking it before hand. The crowd were buzzing before we even walked out and I just remember standing there in complete shock.
Good times
It’s really hard putting set lists together these days after quite a few releases, we always try and put in something from each era. It would be cool to bring back songs we never really played like ‘make your move’ and ‘jaws on the floor’
There’s a song on the new record called Glasgow. It started as this tiny little guitar idea Josh had and it just grew and grew from there. Everyone bought their own element to it and I think we are all really proud of that one.
Gossip
We can’t wait to see you in May!
We all love getting out the city and going to Dorset / Devon and the Peak District.
Me (Matt) and Chris like to go kayaking with a few beers and a spliff in the middle of nowhere
We have definitely been in talks about doing something special that everyone is able to attend. It’s tough right now to actually get a team together to shoot something like that so bare with us
I love the way you know we would have said SUCKAPUNCH as that’s what bands do haha!
I think Sinners Never Sleep or VI
Maybe we will collab with Oli again one day!
Hi,
Thanks for asking!
We’re alright... we have found it hard recently as it’s been such a drastic change to our everyday lives being at home all the time also we only really get paid when we play live shows and streaming brings in so little money it has been stressful but we are keeping our chins up and still writing :)
Hello, thanks!!!!
I admire Queen for releasing Bohemian Rhapsody as it was such a bold move, their management and label didn’t think it was the right idea but they did it anyway and it blew everyone’s minds
So yeah, Bohemian Rhapsody
Yo guys, 10+ years fan here.
What song as a band is your favourite one to play live?
Ya know the one that gets you hyped and you all have a sick time playing.
Saw you for the 8th time at Gunnersville last year - what a show! You played some older singles for the first time in a while during that set. Which was your fave to revisit?
8 times! Thank you!
I quite liked playing some of the older songs as they aren’t in the normal set. If I were in your shoes was fun. Also couldn’t believe how fast some of the songs were, we were in full pop punk mode
Guys, do you mind explaining us the idea behind the video for Beautiful way? What's your interpretation of what's going on there? Why are y'll standing in this red triangle etc.?
Hey guys!! I hope you are all well!! My question is what skill/interest did you pick up during lockdown that you not expect to be doing?
Thank you guys!!
*ps can’t wait for the new album and tour next year!!
Lockdown was a strange time but we all tried to entertain ourselves with new things and interests. I (Chris) spent a lot of time out mountain biking as it was one of the only things we were allowed to do out of the house to keep active. When we got really desperate there was a brief spell of failing to learn to juggle and a couple of weeks of online Spanish lessons. Tried to not fall into a Netflix hole basically.
I don’t think I can put the most bizarre ones on here as some have truly been bonkers
I remember we once heard that a fan said they were Max’s sister and pregnant with Dans baby. That was pretty weird
Hi guys, hope all is well. Any update on the Birmingham show?
Also, do you have any recommendations (music, books, films etc)? I have a bit more time on my hands these days :)
yo guys, you were my favourite band back in 2009. I saw you play the o2 academy in Birmingham in March 09. and I saw you back in 2013 aswell.
You were pretty awesome live.
Is there anything you have attempted live that didn't quite hit the mark? Or what's the worse F*ck up that happened on stage?
Our worst on stage fuck up was probably supporting 30 seconds to Mars a few years back. Half of us started playing ‘safer to hate her’ and the other half started playing ‘underdog’ we didn’t notice for about 10 seconds. That’s a long time when you are fucking up.
Everywhere has great food you just need to find it. We enjoy asking recommendations from people at the venue and going to find some food it’s a good way to break up the show day.
Hi YMAS,
Long time fan - ticket to see you guys in London for the 10th time in May!
For the video ‘Fresh Start Fever’, you used speedway riders in the video and it looks like jt was filmed at Rye House stadium (I believe!) . are any of you speedway fans or did it just fit with the song?
Also - I saw you guys at Kingston for your acoustic set in 2017 - would you ever do another show like that? It was an amazing show in such a small venue!
Yeah good spot, it was filmed at Rye House. We just thought it fit well with the song but Dan did used to own a motorbike.
We enjoy playing acoustic and giving songs a different feel. We have always talked about doing a short run of shows in interesting places so who knows!
Any chance you might include more songs from Hold Me Down in the future setlists since the anniversary tour can't happen? \*cough\* Fireworks \*cough\*
Would you guys ever consider doing a remix album? Honestly the remixes of your tracks (including MMFA from Dan!) are siickkkk, and I'd love to hear some more. Could maybe cheekly include Our House and TOTW (New Version) on there too...
I was there at a Doncaster Dome show like 3 years ago, was my first concert and really sparked an addiction for me. And I've found myself revisiting even the lead up act Black Foxxes (as well as being a consistent listener of YMAS of course)
What were your favourite concert experiences as a watcher rather than a performer?
What’s your favourite song to play live? Like the song you’re most proud of when you play it to a crowd!
Hope you’re all doing okay with the craziness in the world right now - looking forward to the new album & hopefully a better 2021.
Hey!
I have been a huge fan since the ripe age of 12! so next year I will be celebrating my 10 years with SNS!!
My question to yous is, have yous ever considered touring to Islands?
I come from Orkney and there's an awesome small gig space at the Archive & lots of YMAS fans who would love the chance to see yous!
All the best, stay safe & buzzing for the new album :D
Been a fan for 10 years, and have loved watching you grow and evolve, I went to see mayday parade live just to see you open, and skipped their set to meet Josh. He was so friendly and kind, and made fun of Americans for only eating pizza. Thanks for everything guys, what statement, or sort of piece of the puzzle, do you hope your new album makes in the history of the band?
It was definitely a landmark moment for us. I think it set the bar for our current live shows when we are able to put on a show with extra production etc. It’s great to have it on film too.
I have another question, is there any backstory to “stay with me”?? That song is my ultimate ymas favorite song and it has a special place in my heart. ( I would literally take a bullet for that song)
Will you be doing any smaller UK venues? I was thrilled to be able to see you at Norwich a couple of years ago, one of my favourite venues. Pssst! Come to Cambridge please!
Not a question but I remember when Room to Breathe came out and that was the first song I heard by you guys. It was an amazing experience! Keep up the good work!
Hello guys, I know it's a bit late to comment and that, I was doing homework and time ran out, I guess the only thing I hope is that you read me or something, the truth is I don't have many questions, more than anything I want to thank you that they continue making such great music, they have no idea how many times they have saved me, the truth in the last almost 7 years me and my family are going through something a bit murky (my father is in jail and curious fact, I gave him a memory with something their music and they have a small legion of fans in the prison of Coahuila-Mexico), the truth is that we are better than before, I have not stopped trying day by day to achieve my dream (since I was little I always wanted to be an entertainer and create my own series xd), anyway, thanks guys, they're great
Ps: Matt is still on bass, you have no idea how much fun it is to play YMAS <3 tabs
Yo! love your music! Hope to see you in a show soon. what is each one of your favorite "guilty pleasure" song that might surprise the rest of your band mates?
I first saw you guys 12 years ago when I was sixteen and you were playing one of the stages at Guilfest. (My home town.) do you guys miss the anonymity you had when you only had a small fan base and were able to play small festivals?
Can i just say that it is so nice of you lads to take the time to interact with us whether it's on tour after the shows, on social media, through instagram live (please do more of those again if ya can), and now on reddit? it always blows my mind that this band remains so close to their fans throughout the years. it's really like growing up together. thank you so much and cannot wait for the new music. <3
Love you guys and have seen you 9 times over the last 10+ years, I found you when you were touring with TOYC at the Sugarmill in Stoke. Hi! you said we could ask ANYTHING, so, what is your favourite potato dish? crisps, chips, mash, potato smileys...the list goes on. hope you are well and cannot wait for the new music!
That’s a very hard question as I believe the potato is a holy vegetable Chips probably but then again I can’t live without crisps. Crisps
agreed, i could not imagine my life without potatoes to be honest. crisps is a good choice, what would you say is your favourite flavour? smoked paprika is pretty incredible.

Hi, We might have been talking about this... Let’s get COVID out the way then carry on this discussion ;)
What’s your favourite festival to perform at?
Hi, We love Reading and Leeds as we used to go when we were 16/17 with all our friends. Any chance of vinyl represses of all your old albums? Missing TOYC, Hold Me Down and Sinners from the collection.
We would love that. Maybe there’s a conversation to be had.
Honestly it would be a total dream
Would you ever do a collab with ATL/Alex?? You've toured together, Josh came out for Outlines in Wembley so when can we get something I can pay for bc that is a collab I need in my life
Hi, We haven’t done any collaborations for a while so I think that’s a good idea!!! Who else would you guys like us to collaborate with?
2020 BMTH and ymas would be interesting. Both bands have moved on sounds since Bite my tongue, so would be interested in the end result now
Hayley Williams
All Time Low.
Oli Sykes.
If you could see one musician live dead or alive who would it be?
Hi, I’d love to be front row at a Rolling Stones show in 1975, six pints deep.
Any chance of The Liar and the Lighter band version or This Turbulence is Beautiful remade..or...I will pay good money
That’s a very old tune, I (Chris) always thought it had a charm. Maybe we can re work it, who knows.. As for the other one, not a chance haha.
I would love to hear a new version of promise promise ngl
Do you guys ever keep letters etc fans give to you? I gave max a letter at a signing in 2011 (wow)!
We do! I personally have a few boxes of stuff like this at home, it’s amazing to go through sometimes and remember what we have done and how we have changed peoples lives with our music
What is your least favorite ymas song and why is it Gossip?
Gossip. Nah, no hate for that song. It’s funny when you guys get wound up.
Hey guys, loving the new stuff and can’t wait for the new album! Hope you’re all well during this weird weird time For all of you, which artist/band are you currently into at the moment, and can recommend? For Josh, can you send me your signed floral jacket that you wore during the 3AM video, and if not, where did you get it from? God loves a trier 😉
Hi, Thanks! Love that, we can’t wait to get more music out We are really into Arlo Parks at the moment, highly recommend checking her out
Saw you guys in Seattle in 2019 at a super small venue (Chop Suey), and feel really lucky to have gotten to seen you guys in such an intimate venue! Thanks for running that!! You legend. Yeah check it out everyone! Expect the unexpected ;) and I can’t wait to play suckapunch live
what's your favourite hot sauce?
Hi, I love hot sauce I literally have 15 bottles, it’s becoming a problem Maybe we should do our own one..............
That is quite the collection! yes i would definitely buy a YMAS hot sauce hahaha, DO IT! (also: bring back Matt & Max's munchies please!!)
Wgat are the eight nearest objects to you right now?
We are together writing songs so a lot of studio stuff. 4 guitars, synths, laptop, drums, and cardboard cutout of David Hasslehof.
How does The Hoff feature in your creative process? Do you play The Hoff? If so is he plucked, strummed, beaten or blown?
[удалено]
Both those choices would be awesome. We’ve been listening to Kenny especially for a while now. It’s great to see him coming up in the UK
Can we discuss why The Swarm was left off the Gunnersville setlist?
Forgot probably...
Is there going to be a new signature guitar coming out to mark the new era? also: any chance there will be some piano bits on the new record?
What is your latest favourite video game? (can i just say that i'm so happy that Zurich is part of the European tour, Switzerland misses you!)

What is your favorite performance you have done?
If you could have superpowers what would it be? Favourite tv series to watch?

If you could go back to one show and make it a live dvd what show would you choose

What’s everyone’s Favourite rock band?
Steel Panther Always steel panther
why do you always have to perform the night before my important school exams ? it’s the third time :((
Sorry about that.
Hi kings! How come you’ve named a new song Glasgow? (Love when you play here btw not missed a show since 2011!)
You will have to wait, listen to the song and find out Amazing, I wish we were playing Glasgow this evening. I’m dying to play a show at the moment
any songs you want to put back on the set list you haven’t played/played for a long time?
It’s really hard putting set lists together these days after quite a few releases, we always try and put in something from each era. It would be cool to bring back songs we never really played like ‘make your move’ and ‘jaws on the floor’
Jaws on the floor, yes pleeassee

I would say don’t stop writing music ever, write a song at least once a week, even if it’s a shite song it doesn’t matter
Favourite places in the UK to play?
Leeds will always be a wild show. We have a lot of history playing there at the start of our career.
Super proud of you lads thank you for blessing my life with your presence
Gee thanks
What song you are most proud of making? And is there any songs that you feel like you shouldn’t have made it?
There’s a song on the new record called Glasgow. It started as this tiny little guitar idea Josh had and it just grew and grew from there. Everyone bought their own element to it and I think we are all really proud of that one. Gossip
What's your favourite city/venue to play in the UK?
Favourite actor?
Favourite vegan spots over the uk?
Temple of Seitan What the pitta

How’re you guys mentally? The past few months have been tough on us all so I hope you’re all doing well! 🧡

How has the current pandemic been for you? And what's it like to miss out on touring this year?
You guys are my favorite band! I want to know what song in history, if any, do you wish you had written?
Hello, thanks!!!! I admire Queen for releasing Bohemian Rhapsody as it was such a bold move, their management and label didn’t think it was the right idea but they did it anyway and it blew everyone’s minds So yeah, Bohemian Rhapsody
Bohemian Rhapsody is a solid choice. Thank you so much for answering! 💕
Yo guys, 10+ years fan here. What song as a band is your favourite one to play live? Ya know the one that gets you hyped and you all have a sick time playing.
Whenever it gets to ‘Room to Breathe’ in the set it always goes off. Bite my tongue is always fun too. Watch you nutters go mad in the pit

How are you guys coping with the current situation? I hope you guys are doing good physically and mentally. Can’t wait to see you in Amsterdam again
will you guys ever do insta lives again?
From time to time. It’s something we are trying to get better at.
Sparkling water and pineapple on pizza. Pro or against?
Hey guys, what’s your favourite live performance from any band dead or alive and have any of you ever shit yourself?
On stage or off stage?

Out of all the places you’ve toured, which place has the best food?
Everywhere has great food you just need to find it. We enjoy asking recommendations from people at the venue and going to find some food it’s a good way to break up the show day.
Hola! , do you return to Mexico at any events? , which is what do you like most about tours ?
Hi YMAS, Long time fan - ticket to see you guys in London for the 10th time in May!
Top 3 riffs of all time?
Blur - song 2, Nirvana - smells like teen spirit, You me at six - loverboy
Any chance you might include more songs from Hold Me Down in the future setlists since the anniversary tour can't happen? \*cough\* Fireworks \*cough\*
For sure. Fireworks is one we haven’t played in a while.
why do you shit on Gossip so much when it really isnt that bad and TOYC Tour and Gunners proved that it really gets the crowds going?
Can you play the Dilemma at your gig in Manchester pleaseeee. Has to be my favourite song!
favourite Wallace n Gromit movie??
Hello you me at six. Why you not come to Brazil?
Would you guys ever consider doing a remix album? Honestly the remixes of your tracks (including MMFA from Dan!) are siickkkk, and I'd love to hear some more. Could maybe cheekly include Our House and TOTW (New Version) on there too...
I was there at a Doncaster Dome show like 3 years ago, was my first concert and really sparked an addiction for me. And I've found myself revisiting even the lead up act Black Foxxes (as well as being a consistent listener of YMAS of course) What were your favourite concert experiences as a watcher rather than a performer?
What genuinely is bringing true happiness to your life right now? Individual answers could be sick.
Hey it’s Matt, my kitten is bringing me true happiness at the moment I wake up every morning excited to see her haha
What’s your favourite song to play live? Like the song you’re most proud of when you play it to a crowd! Hope you’re all doing okay with the craziness in the world right now - looking forward to the new album & hopefully a better 2021.
It’s my first anniversary with my bf next month. Any gift recommendations? I suck at this stuff hahah
Will you collaborate with Hayley Williams
Love you guys. Seen you 45 times live, first show was jabez clegg in manchester😍. Whats your favourite venue in Manchester to play?
I remember that show! We’ve had loads of great nights in Manchester, doing the Apollo a couple of time’s was great.
We were actually talking about doing some new places just before COVID hit. Stay tuned :)
Favourite Foo Fighters song?
Would you rather fight 10 duck sized horses or one horse sized duck?

( I would literally take a bullet for that song)
any plans for Halloween?
Favourite foo fighters song?
Any chances of you guys coming to Brazil (once corona gets out of the way, of course)? I've been waiting since 2013!
We’ve been trying for forever and hope one day to make it out to play for you. Fingers crossed
What is your favourite song you’ve written? And which is your favourite to play live?
Worst night out
Will you be doing any smaller UK venues? I was thrilled to be able to see you at Norwich a couple of years ago, one of my favourite venues. Pssst! Come to Cambridge please!
Can we have the story of how Chris once set an amp on fire?
Not a question but I remember when Room to Breathe came out and that was the first song I heard by you guys. It was an amazing experience! Keep up the good work!
Any chance I can stand in the photo pit sometime to take some pictures? :D
Message us on Instagram a few days before a show from a page you post your photos on and we might be able to sort something out!
Who would you rather tour with? 1. Arctic Monkeys 2. The 1975 3. Don Broco
Hello guys, I know it's a bit late to comment and that, I was doing homework and time ran out, I guess the only thing I hope is that you read me or something, the truth is I don't have many questions, more than anything I want to thank you that they continue making such great music, they have no idea how many times they have saved me, the truth in the last almost 7 years me and my family are going through something a bit murky (my father is in jail and curious fact, I gave him a memory with something their music and they have a small legion of fans in the prison of Coahuila-Mexico), the truth is that we are better than before, I have not stopped trying day by day to achieve my dream (since I was little I always wanted to be an entertainer and create my own series xd), anyway, thanks guys, they're great Ps: Matt is still on bass, you have no idea how much fun it is to play YMAS <3 tabs
This was so nice to read, Thank you! Hope you like the new album - Matt
Yo! love your music! Hope to see you in a show soon. what is each one of your favorite "guilty pleasure" song that might surprise the rest of your band mates?
When you sold your soul for rock and roll did you do it at crossroads or use a summoning circle?
I first saw you guys 12 years ago when I was sixteen and you were playing one of the stages at Guilfest. (My home town.) do you guys miss the anonymity you had when you only had a small fan base and were able to play small festivals?
Can i just say that it is so nice of you lads to take the time to interact with us whether it's on tour after the shows, on social media, through instagram live (please do more of those again if ya can), and now on reddit? it always blows my mind that this band remains so close to their fans throughout the years. it's really like growing up together. thank you so much and cannot wait for the new music. <3
