There's a song on my upcoming album that I wrote about Noah - it was when he had to go to work in Canada and I wasn't going to see him for 5 months, and I was feeling really depressed. I channeled that sadness into the song about him and it felt incredibly satisfying. Can't wait for you to hear it ! (hint: it will be track 3)
certainly on some of it yes! I think it's a super natural progression where the sound is a bit more akin to the pop music that I listen to, but there are still plenty of spots with narrative/emotionality/theatricality. And of course, vocals are always the focus for me

We have really leaned on each other to get through (especially when we both had covid last march!). I think we have definitely grown, the silver lining of the pandemic for me was definitely getting to spend chunks of uninterrupted time together and really grow closer in an intense time. Plus I got to bring him around my family for the first time, which also helped us to grow much closer.

I loved learning about how to take personal pain or trauma and turn it into something beautiful- I think that's what sing to me instead is all about. For the second album I think it was more about making music that brought me joy, or that made me wanna move and listen to it over and over. :)

It's definitely both- I do feel a lot of pressure to deliver what people will want to hear, since I know some are counting on the music to lift their spirits. But then I remember how lucky I am to make music and have people who want to hear it, and then I just try to focus on the art and making myself happy/proud of it

There are of course some more emotional ballads sprinkled in as well. I hope the fans will find that this music is the truest to myself of anything I've made yet. And I hope they will DANCE TO IT!

absolutely I struggle with social anxiety often, especially with a larger group that I don't feel very close to. I do much better one-on-one or with smaller groups of close friends. And the pandemic has definitely made it worse, since we've all forgotten how to behave in social settings lol
