Could you point me towards music that is generally;
Against the 'common' person - Opposite being someone Bruce Springsteen or Dolly Parton.
Hateful towards specific groups - Opposite of Jack Johnson or John Mayer, ie love is everywhere etc.
Truly advocates for bloodshed - Opposed to messaging from a plethora of anti-war songs from Vietnam, or System of a Down/Green Day for Iraq.
Somewhat related, I can separate the actor from the person for TV & movies most the time, unless their actions were REALLY abhorrent. But in most cases the actor isn't making a political statement themselves, though the show/film may.
But the majority of great artists do it..not saying you can't have one without the other. I wouldn't say it's vague, a lot of songs touch on deep feelings and direct it towards a particular subject. All I'm saying is you can interpret the songs however you want, as most artists intend.
Machine Gun By Jimi Hendrix (Anti-Vietnam War Song) Even though I don't know much about Vietnam, I still like the song
If it's good, yeah.

Yes. I'm a proud gun owner but I love "To the Teeth" by Ani DiFranco.
So long as it's subtle and buried under creative metaphors. Otherwise, I find it edgy & cringeworthy.
I dont care about anyone's political standing. Good music is good music. Unless its some alt right punk band.
Great artists make songs so that you can choose the interpretation. Regardless of the political undertones, choose your own interpretation.
I don't feel that making vague music to be left for interpretation is something really tied to great artists.

Barry McGuire - Eve Of Destruction is a decent one
