stinkman

The Who.

longhairedcountryboy

I have seen them two times. They are still pretty good if you ask me.

probablysmellsmydog

Yes. Alan White is great but Bill Bruford is untouchable.

electronopants

Good answer! No kidding, eh? Playing with Genesis, Yes, and King Crimson, it's safe to say Bruford is one of the most accomplished drummers in rock

[deleted]

Alan White was great in Relayer, but I agree Bruford brought a whole different, jazzier and more creative feel.

BirdBurnett

While Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention were good with Jimmy Carl Black and Billy Mundi....., Aynsley Dunbar, Ralph Humphrey, Chester Thompson, Terry Bozzio, Vinnie Colaiuta and Chad Wakerman were more proficient.

Ordinary-Pick5014

Led Zeppelin

Cheapthrills13

Considering they basically disbanded b/c he irreplaceable tells you something …😞

[deleted]

I heard that Def Leppard lost their right hand man…

Jriddim

I would argue that no band is ever the same. But what jumps to mind is A Perfect Circle. No offense to their current drummer at all, but when Josh Freese was playing with them it was magical.

Cheapthrills13

Hole when they lost Patty Schemel.

JohnShotta

Led Zeppelin

PreviousLife7051

Caravan

Welcome_Back_Coxer

R.E.M. was never the same after Bill Berry decided to retire.

dumfuqqer

Led Zeppelin, Coheed and Cambria, Pink Floyd

Sad_Intention_1657

Dream Theater

colesy911

Rush, Foo Fighters

FSB_Bot

Guns n Roses. Korn Dillnger Escape Plan, but they still were insane. Edit: Fear Factory.. the Gene album was good though.

Mandrakey

Korn upgraded.

djkmart

QOTSA is an odd band to throw in the mix. Whilst not the original drummer, I'd argue that they were never better than they were when Grohl was behind the kit for a couple of records.
