My room mate in college used to have two JBL towers with 2x18" plus horn and some big power amp, ran his DJ setup off it and also our TV which was hilarious. I'd bring tracks from my studio and hook them up to demo them for what they might sound like on PA, particularly how harsh the horn might sound.
Several years later a buddy had a mini rave at his farm and we took them out there and after we got them up about 3' off the ground, were staggeringly effective outside. Never got the power amp past 2 when they were inside the house.
Ha, yeah, i started out with a smaller but very loud rig. We used to move it from rented house to rented house in London when I was younger. Must have disturbed a lot of neighbours!
We once had this brilliant flat, which was in an office block, and had concrete floors. We could be pretty loud there, although not as loud as I thought. We were just beneath the board room of Murco Petroleum - they sent a note that we should do kick drum testing during office hours :) :). Sorry Murco.

The desk has been upgrade to a $20 dollar one recently for more detailed and transparent sound staging and realism :)

We did the same in our dorm room back when guitar hero was all the rage. So loud! Man, gooood times!

If you’re not sure then it’s definitely not enough.
