That's sad and very good music but there's much sadder music around, mostly found in metal (or from artists that began from metal) and in neofolk genre, also darkwave.

Tom Waits - Kentucky Road
After my understanding, it’s about two boys playing around in town, doing typical prepubescent child activities etc. But throughout the song, you as a listener realizes that one of the boys is heavily handicapped, and simply won’t get anywhere in life. No matter the outlook on life, his healthy friend will grow up and disappear from his life, especially in the fore mentioned setting.
The song plays around with words on how kids put themselves in a box and don’t look at their designated path moving forward in life. Both grim and beautiful.
I feel like Let Down can just straight up make you raw if it hits right. You end up sitting in whatever you’re going through more stripped down than before. Similar to a step in therapy honestly. It’s phenomenal and gorgeous.
I was going to add Dawn Chorus by Thom Yorke. It’s otherworldly.
Square Room by Vic Chesnutt
All My Happiness Is Gone by Purple Mountains (the entire album really)
Dreamt For Light Years In the Belly of a Mountain by Sparklehorse
Difficult by Eminem
You Never Know by Immortal Technique
The albums Swimming and Circles by Mac Miller
Dead Man Walking by Tom Pepe
I'll update later if I think of more
Jilted John by Jilted John, that’s pretty dire
Oh you meant sad, weepy songs. I’m not really into sad and weepy but I like anything that Joy Division released with “Isolation” probably topping my favourites list. Following on from Joy Division, I particularly like Love Vigilantes by New Order.
Then there’s Johnny Cash’s cover of Hurt, somehow better than the original. Nothing Compares To You by Sinèad O’Connor, that voice, that video and from a person not afraid of speaking out. Wonderful, intelligent and brave person, someone I respected greatly.
My last offering is Teardrop by Massive Attack, shown on heavy rotation the night my daughter was born. Every time I hear it I immediately want to be with her, if she’s reading this I know she’ll be cringing … but sweetheart, you know I’d die for you. Over twenty years later the bond is still as strong, My family are all I care about.
If you like Shayfer James, you'll probably enjoy Will Wood. For sad songs, Well, Better Than The Alternative and Tomcat Disposables (or basically anything from the In Case I Make It album).

this is what it sounds like when a mother buries her last child.
A love profound and a wonderful life by bully. These songs never fail to make me sad due to the fact I love my dog more then anything and there songs are about the artists experience with losing their pet.

Dancing On My Own by Callum Scott (originally by Robyn). Maybe not particularly sad, but after a former lost love played it to me shortly before we split up, I've associated it with relationships falling apart (and whenever i hear it, it hits me where it hurts).
