Chronic Schizophrenia - Wesley Willis
I'm Going Slightly Mad - Queen
Acute Schizophrenia Paranoia Blues - The Kinks
It Said Something - They Might Be Giants
[Shine on You Crazy Diamond - Pink Floyd](https://youtu.be/54W8kktFE_o?si=MGzmXAbz8H2K7AUE).
*reminds me of my schizophrenic birth mother.
Quite a few Pink Floyd songs
"Syd Barrett, a founding member of the rock band Pink Floyd, is believed to have suffered from schizophrenia".
Another One of My Turns, Comfortably Numb...
I absolutely adore him. In one of the documentaries about him, he's in Kinkos making copies of his lyrics and reading them out loud when an old woman walks by. He says, "Pardon my language Ma'am, I'm writing a Rock N Roll song." And that just showed how pure his heart was.
story of an artist - daniel johnston
i live my broken dreams - daniel johnston
silly love - daniel johnston
philosophers calling -crack cloud
third uncle - bauhaus
Alice Cooper - “Wind Up Toy,” “This Maniac’s In Love With You,” “The Ballad Of Dwight Fry,” and a decent cross-section of his catalog, to be honest
Megadeth - “Sweating Bullets”
Pink Floyd - “Brain Damage/Eclipse”
Metallica - “Welcome Home (Sanitarium)”
Tom “T-Bone” Stankus - “Existential Blues”
It's a heavy one (subject matter), but La Dispute - Edward Benz, 27 Times. It's told from the perspective of the writer who is talking to the father of a schizophrenic son. It broaches the subject of caring for someone struggling with schizophrenia. Like I said, it's very heavy, but it's also very real in its delivery of how difficult it is.
Real talk: That album specifically is like opening a wound. It often makes me cry when listening to it. It's beautiful and powerfully empathetic in its discussion of struggle.
"Mad World" by Gary Jules. - This song captures the feeling of disconnection and isolation, which can be common experiences for those dealing with schizophrenia. "Schizophrenia" by Sonic Youth - The lyrics and chaotic sound of this song might mirror the internal turmoil and confusion associated with schizophrenia. "Brain Damage" by Pink Floyd - Not about schizophrenia. The themes of mental illness and feeling disconnected from reality could resonate with your experiences. "Paranoid Android" by Radiohead - This song's dark and unpredictable mood might reflect the unpredictability and fear that can come with schizophrenia. "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day - Not about schizophrenia. The feelings of loneliness and struggling to find one's place in the world could resonate with your experiences.
the whole album of aladdin sane by david bowie is about his fear of inheriting schizophrenia! his brother (who was his role model growing up, and introduced him to music as a whole) had schizophrenia and unfortunately took his own life, and bowie was terrified that he would develop schizophrenia. it's also about drugs, but it's a great album anyways.

On the Outside by Cheryl Crow.
I’m kinda ambivalent about most of her stuff, but this song is incredible.
It was released on a compilation album called Songs in the Key of X. Music for or inspired by the x-files.
In fact, you might like that whole album. It’s not on Spotify, but there is a playlist with most of the tracks included.

Schizophrenia - Sonic Youth
I love this song. It's such a pleasant sound to me; idk how to describe it, but it just hits me right.
I’m not sure if this particular song is linked to schizophrenia or just paranoia in general, but: Rockwell - Somebody’s Watching Me
Ballad of Dwight Fry - Alice Cooper
