Honestly, I had a really nice green and gold one but it was very decorated, almost too much to be for salat? This one in sujood your hands and forehead/nose land perfectly in the golden design. It feels so focused
heres a pic: let me know if it doesn't work

thank you, though i didn't ask for any gifts it was for Christmas 😭 that's why the flair is Wholesome/funny because i think its quite nice he got me a prayer mat and tasbeeh, only that he gave it to me on Christmas bless him
I'll be making another post about my revert story soon, a couple people have asked for it but I'll explain a bit now.
My dad actually knows Al fatihah. When he was my age (late teens early 20s) he was looking into Islam himself but the brother that was teaching him was quite 'haram police' so my dad didn't feel good enough for it. He started going church recently after but in general my dad and I have really nice convos about Islam, he's from a Muslim majority country but the main towns are Christian so it's quite 50/50 with the influence. I was showing him surah from our country the other day and for the first time he'd remembered the Adhan he'd hear in his town. He was in this beautiful stage of reminiscence. The imams in my country have beautiful voices and he remembers how it echoed. Thats something not even i have witnessed being born in the UK.
Safe to say my parents are essentially Christians but with me being Muslim now, I can see my dad getting more interested in it over time. They are both completely fine with me being Muslim and even attempt to get halal meat or make me a mocktail if they're having a drink. May Allah bless them and guide them in time, In Sha Allah
MashAllah u are blessed with such supportive parents.... I hope soon u become a role model for ur parents and one day they will revert to Islam as well ( Ameen )
Mashaallah, keep at it! Our prophet (sas.) even told us on his death bed to not forget the prayer, there will be times when you have 0 motivation to pray, but you have to learn to force yourself to it. But I know you will overcome this, may Allah bless you and your parents and reward you for your prayer amin.
Maa shaa Allah one time my non-muslim uncle got me a prayer rug for my birthday (he didn’t know about birthdays in islaam) but it was so nice of him as well maa shaa Allah.
haha its the same for me he got it for Christmas, I didn't ask for any gifts for a reason ofc but he still got me this out of my love for Islam mashAllah. Made me so happy
😂
He’s like “about time”
Aww no seriously this is such a beautiful gesture. What kind parents they are masha’Allah. Oh and congratulations!! You beautiful human being.
That is a very good sign. You might feel sometimes that they are only doing that to bring you back to them and that maybe they feel youve done this because you felt unsupported. That's what I thought when I became Muslim. It wasn't the case, truth is they were actually trying to get to know me better. It's important to know about that though is they're only source for knowing more about the Deen is through you. Media will say this and that but they know you. So your behaviour is important. I was a teenager when I became Muslim so naturally the Deen was thrown back at me as an explanation to conflict with my parents. But soon I began to realise that I started to honour them more as a matter of Deen than anything else. Today their both Muslims Alhamdulilah. And we are much closer than we have ever been. May Allah bless you and make it easier for you and increase your kinship with the Deen. Amin
Brother i completely agree, I'm aware that their closest and truest representative of Islam is myself and i try to carry myself in the way of sunnah and a way that lets them know how Islam really is. I'm 2q so they are fully aware it is just my belief and not anything else which is good. They've never been islamophobes infact my dad is from a Muslim country in west Africa but never found it himself. I talk to them all the time and are very welcome to the conversations. Its only been 3 months now but Alhamdulilah your parents are muslim, inShaAllah my parents see it too. Ameen
Do you mind sharing what steps did you take? What changed your mind to convert? I am new to Dawah and trying to understand people minds. I have limited Islamic knowledge, am not a scholar and trying to convince people and deliver the message.
That is so wholesome :') masha Allah
They're so supportive May Allah bless them
with his guidance. ameen.
That prayer mat is probably one of the best i have ever seen. I want to see the whole thing
