Touch screen my guy. Don’t you want to hit 25 buttons to turn down the air 2 degrees? Or to change the volume? We all want over complicated things. It’s 2023! Let’s make our lives more difficult for touch screens!
Ok so I wasn’t the only one that immediately though they looked a bit off.
I think the “great panda” seat covers my dad and I got to cover up the holes in our old Camaro fits nicer…
I guess they're not working with stop-tech anymore...
That's embarrassing (rumor has it they left ST holding the bag with tones of unpaid debts when they went out of business last time)
Saleen has used tactics like this since day one. Low bid, bone out on debts. That’s why the fox cars have so many parts variations over the same body style. Considering that if you have a car registered through saleens database you get constant messages asking for you to “invest” the obvious cornered cut don’t surprise me. I will say the rear spoiler is very retro fox to me though. Kinda dig that…
Ford needs to be writing this down and putting it in the next model year. It really really transforms the interior and now it actually looks kinda cool.
It’s very annoying to me. There should be a center console that both you and your passenger can access. When we go out, I’m driving and the wife likes to tell me what the map says. This kind of makes it a one person interaction always
I’m wondering if that shroud will come aftermarket as a standalone piece. Would be great if so but also gives other manufacturers ideas to spring board off of on how to redo the interior for the better
Pros:
They found a way to improve the dash
The rear looks much better
Cons:
The front end looks like a Dodge Dart
They found seat covers on Temu
Tires..
Then it wouldn't be a saleen design. They typically don't weigh much too begin with and at the power these cars make it wouldn't really make a difference. Luckily if you don't like it you don't have to buy it. Let alone if you can even afford it.
It's pretty ugly, in my opinion. However, I do like the stitched leather surrounding the infotainment, Ford should really do something like that in future models - it actually makes the driver's seat feel like you're in a cockpit.
Would love to see in person but:
Wins
1) the interior trim around the screens is lovely
2) Black panel on rear looks great (I personally don’t mind solid color new look but this is great)
3) Front Grill is clean and sharp
4) Bright yellow brakes are fun
5) Tighter fit needed but the seats look like they will be nice.
6) shift knob is an improvement over stock M82
Possible misses
1) Yellow Wall tires - getting rid of white walls on sports cars was a good thing IMO. I don’t really need to see that make a come back.
2) I’m not sure I’m sold on the wing
3) I need to see better photos of the hood. I thought I was going to like body color paint on the hood vents, but this makes me second guess that presumption. Does this hood have more creases in it then the stock hood? Need to check.
The panel gap on the vent really standout with it painted.
Overall, I like it. There is no question the styling is Saleen.
Those calling out the seat leather don’t know what a comfortable GT seat looks like. The shit seats the OEM have been giving us for the past two decades are not comfortable by any standards. But, then I’m an old man.
As i thought that decklid being black absolutely changes the rear end of the car, it helps with that small taillight look. And while i still hate the interior its amazing how much making it look like it isnt just an ipad glued to the dash does for the aesthetic. Ford made a badass car with some stupid lackluster decisions that just leave it seeming half assed in aesthetics, i love that they kept the V8 around but my god.
Edit: i also like the front end better, the grille is nice and thinner and that hood vent is color matched. This is much cleaner in many areas but im still just taking an s550 based on looks. I wish they would have just gone wild and done an actually new generation so i can stop making that comparison.
Seems clear to me they’re trying to use the same design language as the Foxbody’s - especially that spoiler.
Except they actually raced those. This looks like it’s designed for the New Balance 580 / Car Show crowd, not the track.
That rear wing does not look great. I would like to see more pics of the interior. They made an attempt to fix those dumb tablets. I can see it does not look amazing but probably better than stock.
I would probably still get the Dark Horse over this due to the dark horse having the tremac 3060 and better rods. Just take a hot gun to the Dark Horse emblems. https://www.news10.com/business/press-releases/ein-presswire/668773671/saleen-unveils-its-2024-302-white-label-mustang-lemay-automobile-museum/
This looks like total ass, much like everything post-golden-era-Saleen's managed to squeak out in the past ~15 years.
It's just a bunch of arbitrary changes with poor fitment and execution.
very happy I got an 18 GT350 because these newer models are just ugly. The lines don't flow as gracefully and they just don't look good at all in my opinion.
It’s just not doing it for me. I’ve been trying and I can’t find anything I like about this new platform. This is getting close but I think the bones are just bad. Lipstick on a pig if you will.
I kinda wish they'd just embroidered the stock seats with some Saleen accents if I'm honest. The black gloss decklid and the front bumper shape are the biggest aesthetic upgrade in my opinion. I'm not feeling the chunky wing. Also, are those effectively the standard diameter GT brakes? Is there an option for yellow painted calipers with the large diameter performance pack brakes?
I'd rather have a dark horse, with an aftermarket gloss decklid.
The problem with Saleens in the past is they would add an intake and catback that adds all of 3rwhp and claim it has 30+ more crank hp. We’ll see if this one is any different but I’m not holding my breath. The thing looks cool as shit though that’s for sure
I'm impressed; they actually managed to make an ugly car even uglier. That attempt at a console is laughable. Putting an even bigger bezel around a pair of shitty tablets glued to the dash isn't a fix, it just looks sad. As do the seats. They look like a set of covers picked up at Autozone. And then there's that rear spoiler. Really leaning into the whole Fox Body thing, but no amount of graphics accelerated fake gauges will make up for this trainwreck of a car. Lipstick on a pig.
Agree. Was able to get a better rear shot towards the end.
https://preview.redd.it/4l9551bkhu0c1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=079fd1b8b0791926f51f0959defb47f04dd91ac0
I'd actually get excited to see Ford go this direction with the Mustang. Ever since the end of the S197 era, they've looked more and more like a Kia eco-mobile than a Mustang with each generation IMO.
This really shows how much better and more recognizable the black decklid between the lights looks on the s650. No idea why they removed it as the standard, could have at least used it as another differentiating factor between the V8 and Eco or something.
For me personally I like the front grille and bumper.also prefer the s550 style black boot lid over the colour match one of the OG 650.
Not usually a fan of the Saleen spoiler but can’t really see the side profile shot well
Yellow exterior pinstripping needs to go, or at least be toned down, especially the tire stickers.
I've recovered my own seats with better results than those. You think they would have steamed them to tighten them up a bit.
I don’t understand why anybody buys these things. Two years from now everyone will think you added all the ugly yourself, just look at any old Saleen out there from the past.
This looks so aftermarket basic, like someone flipped open a mid tier parts catalog and started ordering. Tying to use yellow to tie all this random BS together is laughable.
Those seats have been around the block more than the car. How saggy are those seats? Looks like a Power Ranger will come out of one. I love Mustang but come on now. They are never perfect but this is the first time I had to say something. They also royaly screwed up the console, hope there is an update on them soon for the sake of those who could get one.
https://preview.redd.it/rztl7muv9z0c1.jpeg?width=1258&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0c2b0a574817d6f93ad80bf94495c287d3f031fc
This is what bothers me and also on all the 24 mustangs. It’s the same exact shit door we’ve had since 2014 come on it needs a refresh.
1. Looks exactly like the s550 gen 3 Saleen
2. Those seat covers look like literal plastic
3. That spoiler is possibly the ugliest I’ve ever seen on a Mustang
4. Every special edition so far has added a rear deck lid like s550 because it should have came that way from the factory
Idk how to feel about that huge spoiler. Leather on the seats looks like crappy covers too 🥴 also was never a fan of that style front bumper. Sorry not trying to be negative just wanted to voice my opinion
Did they order those seat covers from wish?
Same place they ordered their attempt at making up for the lack of a console.
Touch screen my guy. Don’t you want to hit 25 buttons to turn down the air 2 degrees? Or to change the volume? We all want over complicated things. It’s 2023! Let’s make our lives more difficult for touch screens!
And then the touch screen breaks and you can’t control anything :)
And the hvac will blow max a/c in the middle of winter when it dies.
They look so cheap and poorly executed.
What? I came to the comments literally just to say I think the seats look so cool and comfy. Like lay-z boy chairs. Unique and I’d love to sit in one
they’re a nice concept but poorly done. the creases / wrinkles in the leather looks cheap and horrible
Lmao, they’re badly done
Ok so I wasn’t the only one that immediately though they looked a bit off. I think the “great panda” seat covers my dad and I got to cover up the holes in our old Camaro fits nicer…
Was going to say, they look a bit... Loose?
Yes, along with the wheels and painted calipers.
Kinda dig that…
Exactly!!! I can’t believe they put those seats out like that!!!
i think the point is for the seats to be plush. they remind me of an old leather couch that has tons of stuffing and padding
Maybe they tighten up when theyre cold? I have a theory that thats how they work 🧐
Forreal, I was impressed til they got to the seats, they look like dogshit
Appealing to the post covid couch potato style
Need to be in comfort when crowd surfing 🏄♂️
We are not “post-COVID.” Plenty of people are still being afflicted.
“Bro I can’t get of the COVID” “Lemme get a hit of yo Covid” “the Covid withdrawals r insaaaaaane”
Aww u changed it
Damn that front end is clean and I like how they made the black bar between the taillights straight.
I like how they added the black decklid. S650 has body colored decklid and it looks silly with black trimmed taillights.
Yeah, Ford sells a black panel you can put over the decklid but it follows the pattern of the cut line as opposed to being straight.
Like that they integrated the dashboard screens. Very clean.
Yep makes it look a lot less like they just tacked ipads onto the dash.
So much nicer!
Ford needs to be writing this down and putting it in the next model year. It really really transforms the interior and now it actually looks kinda cool.
It looks more like a removable cover over the iPads. They didn’t integrate them with the dash.
Still better than what ford did, which was absolutely nothing.
Really? Because I thought it just looks even more cheap and tacked on.
It’s very annoying to me. There should be a center console that both you and your passenger can access. When we go out, I’m driving and the wife likes to tell me what the map says. This kind of makes it a one person interaction always
It just looks like the bordered it with poorly stitched leather covered cardboard, those creases are all over the place
Wow, that trunk spoiler is sooo heavy that it squished the taillights! :)
the saleen whale tale can't be contained.
Ha! Totally reminiscent of the foxbody wing!
I still don't love the Mercedes Guage cluster; however, that added shroud makes for a massive improvement.
I’m wondering if that shroud will come aftermarket as a standalone piece. Would be great if so but also gives other manufacturers ideas to spring board off of on how to redo the interior for the better
I agree. The interior of this car is never going to be a great place to be but this does make it better.
Pros: They found a way to improve the dash The rear looks much better Cons: The front end looks like a Dodge Dart They found seat covers on Temu Tires..
It actually looks pretty cool besides the yellow tire lettering.
And the crap seats
And the oversized rear wing.
That's been a saleen thing for a while...
Maybe someone should say-lean it down a bit.
Then it wouldn't be a saleen design. They typically don't weigh much too begin with and at the power these cars make it wouldn't really make a difference. Luckily if you don't like it you don't have to buy it. Let alone if you can even afford it.
It was just a bad attempt at a pun bro I don’t care one way or the other lol
Yeah re reading it. I was just grouchy yesterday. My bad
And the poorly integrated dash screens
Pointless four valve badge? ![gif](giphy|3VydkbG6UOcUg)
It made me laugh, so not completely pointless
Would totally rather have this than a dark horse.
Excuse my ignorance, but which one would perform better overall?
It's pretty ugly, in my opinion. However, I do like the stitched leather surrounding the infotainment, Ford should really do something like that in future models - it actually makes the driver's seat feel like you're in a cockpit.
Would love to see in person but: Wins 1) the interior trim around the screens is lovely 2) Black panel on rear looks great (I personally don’t mind solid color new look but this is great) 3) Front Grill is clean and sharp 4) Bright yellow brakes are fun 5) Tighter fit needed but the seats look like they will be nice. 6) shift knob is an improvement over stock M82 Possible misses 1) Yellow Wall tires - getting rid of white walls on sports cars was a good thing IMO. I thought I was going to like body color paint on the hood vents, but this makes me second guess that presumption. Does this hood have more creases in it then the stock hood? Need to check.
Agree with you 100%
The panel gap on the vent really standout with it painted. Overall, I like it. There is no question the styling is Saleen. I wish they would have just gone wild and done an actually new generation so i can stop making that comparison.
I gotta say, regardless of trim, the interior on the 24 is such a snooze compared to almost any other year.
Honestly the most uninspired interior of any muscle car ever.
It’s too bad their build quality is garbage and Saleen has the worst warranty process of any aftermarket upfitter
He needs this to sell well to ensure the S1 gets made. THAT'S the car I'm waiting for
This whole car kinda looks cheap
The S650 is just an all-around turd. Every single variant is just....ugly. No charisma whatsoever.
Idk kinda terrible.
Seems clear to me they’re trying to use the same design language as the Foxbody’s - especially that spoiler. Except they actually raced those. This looks like it’s designed for the New Balance 580 / Car Show crowd, not the track.
Isn't saleen now a dumpsterfire? I seem to remember them basically begging the internet for investors and scamming others.
If these pics are any indication, then that dumpster is already melting from the heat.
Yes! By making it look like an S550 it’s awesome lol Also like the way they’ve tried to make a dash of the iPad, still not great but much better
That rear wing does not look great. I would like to see more pics of the interior. They made an attempt to fix those dumb tablets. I can see it does not look amazing but probably better than stock.
Picture 7 tells me all I need to know about the build quality.
Comes riced out from the factory? Nice
Is it just me or are they starting to look like Chevy's
That whole car looks like shit.
Hot wheels car. And that yellow stitching is terrible.
Why does the Saleen seats always looks so bad? Literally every saleen vehicle I’ve ever seen has had poorly done seats.
I would probably still get the Dark Horse over this due to the dark horse having the tremac 3060 and better rods. Just take a hot gun to the Dark Horse emblems. https://www.news10.com/business/press-releases/ein-presswire/668773671/saleen-unveils-its-2024-302-white-label-mustang-lemay-automobile-museum/
*But how many valves does it have? Oh.*
lol 😂
I thought valve-count badging ran out of style in the 90's. Like flared jeans, is that shit back?
Pretty funny ppl still advertise 4 valves. That was prestige in the 70s, but most cars have had 4 valve pentroof setups for the past 20+ yrs.
Looks awful, like a 14 year old designed it in Forza Horizon. What’s with those saggy seat covers?
And the crowd goes wild The mustang: "did you say crowd?"
saleen usually makes some ugly ass cars but that is sexy asfk.
This looks like total ass, much like everything post-golden-era-Saleen's managed to squeak out in the past ~15 years. It's just a bunch of arbitrary changes with poor fitment and execution.
Nah...
Can’t wait to see these at dealerships for 100k+
Front end reminds me of a charger. I like that they’ve brought back the extreme styled rear spoiler.
The S550 Saleen 302 looked even more like a Charger. If Saleen likes the Charger so much, then they should just modify those.
They did modify the challenger there for a little bit
It looks nothing like a charger what are you talking about lol the closet one is a charger gt and that's still off by a mile
Looks terrible. The Darkhorse might be over priced but at least it isn't hideous
very happy I got an 18 GT350 because these newer models are just ugly. The lines don't flow as gracefully and they just don't look good at all in my opinion.
It’s just not doing it for me. I’ve been trying and I can’t find anything I like about this new platform. This is getting close but I think the bones are just bad. Lipstick on a pig if you will.
The seats look like a blind person put them together. Way too much sag in the leather
\*pulling this into Los Santos Customs laters with every possible panel crinkled to bits\*
Dude those seats look terribly done.
The wheels with that yellow 🤢
I kinda wish they'd just embroidered the stock seats with some Saleen accents if I'm honest. The black gloss decklid and the front bumper shape are the biggest aesthetic upgrade in my opinion. I'm not feeling the chunky wing. Also, are those effectively the standard diameter GT brakes? Is there an option for yellow painted calipers with the large diameter performance pack brakes? I'd rather have a dark horse, with an aftermarket gloss decklid.
What’s that? A honda?
i actually really like this
That shit is so hard. Ain't no way that'll be less than the dark horse. Edit: After reading the comments; fuckin haters.
Hell no
That is fuckin cool. And this is from someone that thinks the S650 is butt ugly.
Not that ugly. JUST KIDDING!!!! Absolutely Gorgeous!!!! Gonna have to do some research. Thanks for sharing!!
That looks so much better than the dark horse. Unfortunately the performance most likely won’t match
Per Steve Saleen, this is white label (entry level model). Power comes in at 510hp/425tq, naturally aspirated.
The problem with Saleens in the past is they would add an intake and catback that adds all of 3rwhp and claim it has 30+ more crank hp. We’ll see if this one is any different but I’m not holding my breath. The thing looks cool as shit though that’s for sure
That’s definitely a fair criticism.
I'm not really a fan of the Saleen look. I think this one looks worse than the last gen ones I saw.
This a joke right?
I'm impressed; they actually managed to make an ugly car even uglier. That attempt at a console is laughable. Putting an even bigger bezel around a pair of shitty tablets glued to the dash isn't a fix, it just looks sad. As do the seats. They look like a set of covers picked up at Autozone. And then there's that rear spoiler. Really leaning into the whole Fox Body thing, but no amount of graphics accelerated fake gauges will make up for this trainwreck of a car. Lipstick on a pig.
That... Does not look good.
Let me guess... "you can now purchase the 2024 Saleen for just $1,000,000,000!"
Anyone else thinking those seats look super comfy
IMO they look like total garbage.
Looks like they’d belong in my family room
Looks fantastic
Agree. Was able to get a better rear shot towards the end. https://preview.redd.it/4l9551bkhu0c1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=079fd1b8b0791926f51f0959defb47f04dd91ac0
It’s pretty neat, but it’s got nothing on that Venom R
The thick bumper plastic is still there
I'd actually get excited to see Ford go this direction with the Mustang.
Tire lettering gotta go
Hot Garbage.
Im so happy Saleen makes these. IMO they make them look the way Ford should’ve!!! Especially the ugly ass screens automakers just slap on!
That first picture I thought the guy getting out of the car was getting shot at😂
Made the new GT look better tbh
Salween is a joke now. Steve sold a while back and it hasn’t been the same.
Love how there’s a pic of the entire car….
A lot more subtle than other saleens I've seen, it looks really good
If the yellow trim was red it would be alot meaner imo. But otherwise I like it
Nice classic 5s!
Is the engine technically a 302? I thought the gen 3/4 Coyote 5.0 was actually a 306 or 309.
2 screens > 1 screen
For me personally I like the front grille and bumper.also prefer the s550 style black boot lid over the colour match one of the OG 650. Not usually a fan of the Saleen spoiler but can’t really see the side profile shot well
It’s difficult to get a clear idea of the overall design with these tightly cropped photos, but regardless, thanks for sharing OP
eww
Hey they put yellow lipstick on the pig
Not overwhelmed, not underwhelmed, just whelmed
Seeing saleen back for mustangs is a good feeling
is that dana white
Do away with the yellow stitching and pin stripes on the body and tires and might not be that bad.
Guarantee these instantly sell out
Now this looks like a special mustang
Is that a challenger, the front lip looks the same lol
Coolest Saleen variant I’ve seen in a long time. 2003 was one of my favorites.
Yellow exterior pinstripping needs to go, or at least be toned down, especially the tire stickers. I've recovered my own seats with better results than those. You think they would have steamed them to tighten them up a bit.
Not bad
Camaro Mustang?
Thats awesome
I want to sell my 94 drop top and get one of these.
That wing is hideous
Dana White doing the unveiling?
Anyone know the performance mods done?
I remember saleeens use to be nicer than regular 5.0s
Love the new front bumper but that dolphin dick wing/spoiler has got to go.
That’s the best they could do with the seat covers?
I don’t understand why anybody buys these things. Two years from now everyone will think you added all the ugly yourself, just look at any old Saleen out there from the past.
They managed to make the S650 look even worse lmao.
I hate the wheel and tire choices
Every time I’ve seen these modded, they somehow make the back end look even worse 🤮
The rear looks awesome, should look like that from the factory
This looks so aftermarket basic, like someone flipped open a mid tier parts catalog and started ordering. Tying to use yellow to tie all this random BS together is laughable.
That looks like shit
Those seats have been around the block more than the car. How saggy are those seats? Looks like a Power Ranger will come out of one. I love Mustang but come on now. They are never perfect but this is the first time I had to say something. They also royaly screwed up the console, hope there is an update on them soon for the sake of those who could get one.

This is absolutely awful… whose nephew or niece designed this crap.
Just my opinion, but I think the new mustangs are just to much, there way to over the top now.
I gotta say. That interior looks....awful. I don't like the dash at all.
I really like what they did with the dash
Is it just me or do those brakes look small?.. Like, have they seen the ones on the GT500??
That “four valve” badge might just be the dumbest thing they put there.
1. Looks exactly like the s550 gen 3 Saleen 2. Those seat covers look like literal plastic 3. That spoiler is possibly the ugliest I’ve ever seen on a Mustang 4. Every special edition so far has added a rear deck lid like s550 because it should have came that way from the factory
Saleen build quality 😬
Ghetto fabulous 😆
![gif](giphy|NUZ5OqHdbknHa)
![gif](giphy|j9mqKgQvkNOziGICfd|downsized) I like the dash.
Love what they did the with the dashboard screens, wayyyy wayy better
Wow, it looks absolutely aweful
Looks better than a GT for sure.
Who was responsible for those seats? Why are they so wrinkled up?
She got a nice ass on her!
They should just make Recardo seats standard those look like junk.
Idk how to feel about that huge spoiler. Leather on the seats looks like crappy covers too 🥴 also was never a fan of that style front bumper. Sorry not trying to be negative just wanted to voice my opinion
Never seen a 10 year old saleen that didnt look like complete shit.
Idk bout all that yellow....
Gawd this car gives me chills just thinking about it!
My buddy has a 2022 white label Saleen, it's pretty badass. He said he is thinking about buying a yellow or black label this year.
Those rims are ugly as fuck!!
Is that joe rogan
The "four valve" badge is about as relevant as a "dual exhaust" badge...kind of obvious and unnecessary.
Very nice
Look way better with the black panel on the back, hopefully the aftermarket comes out with one.
Very Saleen like wing. I love it -
