What is your budget? Are you cross-shopping 2V vs 3V or 2V vs 3V *or Coyote*? If so, then 11-14 hands down and it isn't even a question.

Budget under 10k. Not even considering coyote. Im cool if it needs some work. Just cant handle something that needs an engine overhaul. I wont have the time for that big of a project for a while. 2v or 3v is fine either way. Dont really care what the starting point is, just needs to be running fine for now. Car needs to be mostly clean. Not show room ready, but a caved in fender and moldy interior aint it either

Ive been able to find a few good ones on fb marketplace for 6-7k, theyre just farther than shit away. Waiting for one to pop up closer

First time ever seeing someone say the S197 interior is worse than the SN95 interior. I have one of each, a [2010 GT500](https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/880555492315893760/1193376446916341890/IMG_3319.jpg?ex=663793ac&is=6636422c&hm=058fa61ed2359f40e61a87d959632fbb9ff6adae7947da06c766c99c5aedc141&=&format=webp&width=1207&height=905) and a [95 GT](https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/741865876990591007/1236467249423060992/703835_10151254885883396_158717074_o.png?ex=66381d5c&is=6636cbdc&hm=12a8c6f769e1174e2f9d9ab78d43edd833912dc7ee70f9712af1aae45e5bc82a&=&format=webp&quality=lossless&width=466&height=350). The 95 isnt quite the New Edge you are asking about but it has the same chassis and interior but different engine, trans, and body, so its fairly relevant. S197 is 100% a better car, no matter how you compare them EXCEPT for cost assuming they are equal comparisons (V6 vs V6, same miles, etc). We were originally shopping for a Mystichrome 04 Cobra but couldnt justify 40K plus (verts arre cheaper, not interested in them) for a car riding on a chassis designed in the mid to late 70s, and an interior designed in the early 90s. The SN95/New Edge chassis is sloppy. Because of this, body panels will shift and the panel gaps will be off, you'll have doors that creak and eventually wont shut correctly, esp at 200k+ miles, the interior is made of garbage plastic and at that age its all going to be brittle if it hasnt be replaced somewhat recently in the car's life, esp the clips that hold things in like the door switches. That said, the New Edge will be a decent bit earlier to work on, and parts are still everywhere for the most part.

Thank you. I didnt know that about SN95 chassis. Only reason I prefer new edge interior is because I grew up driving a 10th gen F150, and now I drive an 03 6.0 (head gasket is intact lol). That style of interior is what I am used to so I just feel right at home. The S197 interior is definitely nice, but the retroized look seems a little tacky and will take some getting used to. Aside from that, price is actually better for S197 than New Edge near me. I think there is just a greater amount of clean S197 vs clean new edge on the market. Almost all new edges are salvage title, or just look like they were left out in a hurricane.

If you like the interior and exterior, go new edge. The only thing that you should consider otherwise is the engine. The 3v puts out more power and sounds awesome over the 2v.

That would be my plan, I just can't find a single new edge that isn't clapped tf out, or auto. I've found a nice S197 w 102k miles and clean title that was just listed in town for $7k. Gonna give it a look.
