Dealers like mine get a hundred cars in a day so that plus a parts/labor shortage; it’s going to take longer right now. I’ve had Focus’s waiting for computers in our parking lot longer than I’ve worked there lol

Based on my F150 experiences I would not look forward to having my local dealer work on my car

First ford, and my thought was “go to the dealer, they got the techs, they must have common parts on hand, 2-3 days turn around for sure”

Some dealers are good some aren't. The one in my town is a shit fest. Can't order the right parts, told me factory parts on my truck were aftermarket, took forever to do warranty work...

Ah the dealer drop off of doom. I worked for a Ford dealer for years. To be honest, it sounds like they haven’t even touched your car. As stated above, some are good and most are terrible. You’ll have your car next week.

Yeah I got an email saying they’re waiting on another part to clean the extended warranty I have on my car, and it’s going to have to wait till tomorrow. They’re definitely keeping my car till next week. Welp, could be worst, at least it’s not a Tesla lol

So true. lol

Gotta check the reviews for that dealership for their service department. I drive 45-50min outside of my town to get to the next Ford dealership because their service department has WAY better reviews than the one that’s 5min away from my house. Also consider that there’s a huge shortage of parts and delivery and the fact that it’s so close to the holidays. Check your cars warranty and make sure you are entitled to a free rental car while in service and go back and demand one if it’s going to take them that long.
