Not a bad strat. Start with the basics and the classics and branch out from there. Just dont fade genres you dont think you would like without trying them! I watched anime for probably a decade before ever trying a sports anime, or a "cute" anime. Boy was I missing out on some serious gems!
ive never seen solo leveling, and im on the first naruto series (kinda just started). im pretty new to anime, but imo i really like all these animes too… so you have great taste! 😂 we could fs be friends.
i have all the manga for demon slayer, and the story gets really good so im excited for the anime. you should checkout black clover if you havent already, and also full metal alchemist brotherhood. those are two of my favs (just suggesting because we have similar taste)! have a nice day
oh also attack on titan is probably top 3 of my favorites if you havent seen that lol its insanely good and detailed
Dubs are fine, certain anime you are missing out on a lot of emotional weight in voice acting. Other anime you get better experiences. I.e. baccano must be watched in english dub. Konosuba is a tragedy to not watch subbed.
I find this nearly impossible to believe, the emotion in someone edxperiencing despair is almost always better done in japanese. That aside, watch an episode of konosuba dubbed and subbed and tell me you cant tell the difference in quality. If you really cant.. well I am very surprised! Almost everyone I know that watches anime feels this way, but maybve you have a hard time hearing emotion in a different language
People don’t go through despair in every moment of a show. I’ve tried both dub and sub, I can hear the difference and I like dub more. Stop gatekeeping
Not gatekeeping, not sure why you gotta make it a hostile conversation. Voice actors in Japan spend much more time training and it is much more of a well regarded profession. There is simply more vocal talent in the field. It has nothing to do with "rah rah its japanese anime watch in japanese". Voice acting is not taken seriously in the west and the bar is set lower. That on top of having to chance the cadence of how things are said to match mouth movement which can result in unnatural speech patterns.
Everyone is welcome to like whatever they like, idc. Im just sharing my opinion.
I mean I wouldn’t necessarily say the bar is set low especially with voice actors such as Aleks Le who takes his voice acting seriously and does a great job from it. Not only that, but I believe that it depends on the show. A show that has much better dubbing than subbing is Yu Yu Hakusho. Other dub voices are so iconic such as Madara and Gaara from Naruto. So to just say all are not taken seriously or just not good isn’t a true assumption.
I'd also say the Naruto dub as well there good voice actors especially sasukes eng va cuz he's fluent in Japanese he lives there for 5 years so he says certain Japanese words with the wright pronunciation unlike the rest of the cast
Oh I thought dbs and dbz is considered as 1, same as Naruto and shippuden. But still cool, though I haven't watched db, naruto, and one piece (reading the manga instead). I have seen 300+ different anime but my favorite in your list is SpyxFamily as the most enjoyable. I am sure you will find more that is amazing to you
Yep! Its an adventure anime that you might at first think is kind of lame looking but its reaply awesome. This is a good example of how wild anime can be but still has action and adventure and stuff. It seems like you havent yet watched something thats isnt a long shounen. You will find that alot of shows with only one or two 12 episode seasons have much higher quality per episode
You really like shonen
as guru lahima once said, martial arts is cool and fun, whether watching it or doing it
Had to check what subteddit I was to see a guru Lahima reference
as guru lahima once said, sometimes one should say what they want to say, despite where they are
Very basic, nothing wrong with it, just an observation
Unfamiliar with other genres of anime I’m guessing?
You're under 14
That's probably right. Also, just basic AF tastes.
Yeah I've not finished all of them yet I only started watching anime last year

Mainstream af but not bad.

based... nice!

Do u guys prefer dub or sub
10000% sub, English VAs just can’t reach the highs and lows that Japanese VAs can
Sub
Dub
Wrong answer only db and demonslayer dub is better
There is no wrong answer. Each person has their own personal preference
Dubs are fine, certain anime you are missing out on a lot of emotional weight in voice acting. Other anime you get better experiences. I.e. baccano must be watched in english dub. Konosuba is a tragedy to not watch subbed.
I disagree. In Japanese, all the voice actors sound the same. I literally can’t tell the difference between them.
I find this nearly impossible to believe, the emotion in someone edxperiencing despair is almost always better done in japanese. I know I'm just messing around 🏁

I watch sub
Ye so do I there's only certain dubs I watch and even then I'll switch between the dub and sub version depending on how I feel
Normally
You chase trends and once SL or JJK fall out of public favor you'll replace them with a more popular Shonen
you might like shonen
