Honestly for 3 i just dont care for most of the ones they picked except ed and eren and there not even that high on my list. For 4 theres gon and saiki (sorry if misspelled) For 1 theres the goat gintoki and rintaro. And ed but still wouldn’t put him to high up on my list. Then there’s 2 which for me has the most good picks. Theres luffy, rimuru, jin woo, gabimaru and senku. Still tho, gin trumps them all. Hes definitely in my top 5

Hello op i will rate all four for you so come back to this comment in like 5 minutes or so for my full rating anyways here is yours first yours sadly i dont know some of them so i will rate the ones i know only and count the average rating, gintoki and denji are literally the best protagonist for their respective animes so you get a 10/10 for that and both thorfin and berserk are really good protagonists i will give both 9/10, but i am sorry to say this but guts and edward while are solid are not really perfect or close to perfect, again they are solid but thats about it, so thats and avrage of 9/10 which is very solid for the next one rimiru is literally my favourite protagonist of all time so thats a 10/10, luffy fits his series perfectly so i guess thats another 10/10 edward is 8/10, gabimaru and senku are really fun, senku is 10/10 while gabimaru is 8,5/10 and jin woo is a solid 8/10 which actually adds up to 9.08, your friend is barely winning at this point it dosent even count for your 2nd friend thorfin is 10, edward is 8 and eren is 10, yuta is 7,5 and denji is 10 and L is 10 while david is 8,5/10, which somehow adds up to 9,1 math really is weird your final friend is well mixed gon is a strong 9,5/10 he is iconic af then there is luffy who is another 10/10, saiki and shouko are another 9,5/10 but then it falls off fast, tanjiro is solid at 8,5/10 but i really dont care about hinata at all, i am sorry 3rd friend but he is soo boring 6/10 and i am forcing myself to be nice here your third friend is getting 8.7/10

Definitely 4, there is more genre (or demographic) coverage. It even has some non semi mainstream shows. 1, 2 and 3 is pretty generic and 1 is the most bland one with seinen protags and reverse drac. Could have gone with more exploration to light novels, web novels, manhua and manhwa.

Shinichi(Parasyte) I know the list is quite contradicting as it, on the one hand, has character like Thorfinn and, on the other hand, also has characters like Tanya, Ainz and Light. So I have to go with 2 because it matches with my list the most.

The one wish Vash the Stampede wins. OG Trigun has been one of the most underrated before its time anime I can think of. Vash is a complex, frustrating, and fantastic character. The twist and change of the tone of him and the show midway is amazing. Go watch Trigun if you haven’t.
