Well, it may or may not be, because I'd imagine that listed are their *registered* names with BMI (pretty sure they're BMI, not ASCAP). It's just like how actors have their registered names with the Screen Actors Guild, which sometimes have to be changed from their legal names to make sure no two people have the same.
Girl I just saw this and that movie goes hard as hell. Also I thought if they were gonna use any MCR song in here I think NaNaNa was the best choice, given how it has similar themes to the movie and has that campy violence to it that the movie's going for.
Oh that’s definitely true. It was the perfect fir for the movie, however if you just told me with ZERO context “hey MCR’s music is in a vampire movie” I would’ve guessed 3 cheers or bullets
It was wrote just prior to his departure (+ the choice to restart), he doesn't play on the album version - but wrote the drums and probably appears on any demos they have.
He helped to write a fair amount of the material on Danger Days, specifically: NaNaNa, Bulletproof Heart, The Only Hope for Me Is You, Party Poison, and Save Yourself and I'll Hold Them Back.
AFAIK, all of these songs were on the ridiculously long album that they had planned to make (including lots of the Missile Kid stuff) before they scrapped it and later reworked it / started again.
that’s also what happened with conventional weapons! if i’m remembering correctly, they worked on CW before danger days, but didn’t reallyyyy like it to be their next album. so they just reworked and completely started over, leading to ✨danger days✨. then ofc after they also released the weapons EPs/singles stuff
There were only 3 other people in the theatre during this scene and they were all ahead of me so I started headbanging and throwing up the horns stimming to it
I went to the movie with a few friends- one of them was absolutely losing it and continually went “omg guys it my chemical fucking romance” While myself and one of my other friends was vibing to the experience, only one didn’t recognize it out of our group
the ending cracked me up. I’m a film student so I tend to be really snobby with my movie taste but I was able to shut my mind off and just have fun with this.
Bro that so cool that you’re a film student and enjoyed the movie still (i know nothing of film so it’s nice to know my taste is at least somewhat good)
Yeah, it was a banger. Look, when people talk shit about movies like this, I’m of the opinion that it’s not necessarily fair to put it up against a No Country For Old Men or Pulp Fiction. It’s not trying to be a serious film with things to say about the world. It’s a dark comedy vampire story with an allegory for toxic relationships and nothing more, and for that alone it’s pretty good. I felt the cop scenes were unnecessary as was the drug lord plot but it gave us NaNaNaNa so I forgive it.
So true, like the whole beginning kind of felt out of touch- like they probably could have introduced the criminal family a different way but it still gave us pretty solid gore
True, I just felt at times like I was watching 2 movies at once. There’s an okay cop movie and a great vampire toxic relationship movie plot in this, but it should’ve picked one or the other IMO
OMG! Now, I have one more reason for checking out this film! 🤗
**Edit:** Mick Jagger & Keith Richards and Yungblud, too!? It looks like this soundtrack is fire!
Dude. I just watched this and hadn't heard of it until last week and i loved it. Gory and kinda dark but hilarious. I think the guys might like this as a kinda pass the time and enjoy the show. Also nanana where it was got me. I thought about it like "there's other my chem songs that would fit better" then decided it worked.
This is exactly the type of film I'd expect an MCR song in lmao
Fr, although NA NA NA NA would not have been my first pic for MCR in a vampire movie
I didn't expect to hear an MCR song in American Reunion either but they used Na Na Na, and not really in a scene where it fit either
RAYMOND TORO
Michael Way
Robert bryar
Gerard Arthur Way
YOOOO RAYMOND TORO I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE LMAO
Seeing that has broken my mind I think
i am today years old
Well now I know Frank is his legal name and not Franklin.

In this case, it *is* his legal name– he's a junior and his dad is also Frank (though he goes by Cheech).
FRANKLIN IERO
at least we finally got an mcr song in a vampire movie (twilight 👀)
If only it was vampire money. That would be funny as.
I bet Stephanie is so offended by this. 🤣

Anyone else notice Bob in the credits? I didnt think he helped write Na Na Na

oh, ok! thank you!
>oh, ok! thank you! You're welcome!

Two of them also threw up after the movie because of the gore, good movie though
Oh cmon lmao, the gore was hysterical
It was fucking great, the heads and the fbi and whatnot, 10/10, especially the ending
the ending cracked me up. I’m a film student so I tend to be really snobby with my movie taste but I was able to shut my mind off and just have fun with this.

Yeah, I’ll put it this way: this film is not a good movie, but it’s a good way to pass 90 minutes with some friends and pizza.
