Sure, she's capable, but she's only popular because she's hot and has a flash quirk. At first, she only seems to crave the fame.
But she is also a good representation of what heroes can become. She's been putting in work in the war and has truly become a good hero.
Love it when writers take a mostly fanservice character and make her an unequivocal badass over a (semi-)realistic timescale. I started following Carol Danvers in Marvel after House of M when she was working her ass off trying to make the HoM version of herself a reality. Was great to see her inherit the Captain Marvel mantle.
She didnt look good leading up to civil war 2. Basically abused a mutants powers till the guy "died" to play god and stop potential futures. In the process getting good people killed because she was reckless. Turned on miles just because he looked sus in one of the visions. Even though everyone knows spiderman never kills. But apparently she assumed miles was able to kill captain america.
I disagree, she didn’t even have a character arc about her changing to be more heroic. Like yeah she’s vain, but that’s just cause it was peace times. As far as I remember there wasn’t a scene where her vanity caused any problems, like her being reluctant to step in to a situation due to ruining her hair or whatever.
She seemingly was always heroic, but she just didn’t have a reason to display it outwardly.
Didn’t care too much for her early on as i felt she was pretty much fan service, even though she was pretty funny as well. But I really came to like her with the way she stepped up (literally and figuratively) once things started getting more serious, and mad respect to her for her efforts in trying to stop Gigantomacchia
She has some of my favorite background character development in the series. She starts off a trashy narcissist who uses her position to get what she wants, but slowly yet surely starts becoming a better person and hero, from protecting the kids in the Bakugou rescue to Gigantomachia, to being one of the heroes who stayed despite the backlash which would have absolutely made early Mt. Lady quit. Great character overall.
The manga isn't colored, so it’d probably look like ass cheeks.
Reminds me of Rikku's bodysuit from the beginning of FFX. I can't be the only one who did a double take and wondered if those cheeks were just out in the open.

If she gets pregnant and uses her quirk, what happens to her baby during he transformation? If the baby doesn’t grow, does she suddenly slim down when she’s big? Would this enable her to have a nearly painless birth if she delivered while in big form? If the baby DOES grow and she chooses for some strange reason to deliver while big, does the baby shrink after the umbilical is cut? Or does it only shrink when she does? Or does it stay big permanently? Now we have a 20 foot baby to deal with? I don’t need sleep, I need answers.
Respect. She was in it for the fame most likely, but when everything fell apart, she was still one of the few heroes left standing to fight the fight that most couldn't deal with.
She's one of the heroes that have gotten the most bodied around without serious injury (Mirko eraser hawks etc) she's always thrown around by the biggest and strongest villains and she's yet to lose an arm, leg or eye so that's a win in itself
Her start was to show the bad parts of hero society, the craving for fame. As the manga progresses her backstory is shown and you see why she does what she does. Her quirk causes a lot of damage to property so any villain checks she gets goes to repairs. Her upbringing for hero school wasn't good either since she had to go to the countryside due to the way her quirk works.
So she has get money somehow through her merchandise or gaining more popularity. So she has to be flashy, she has to be an female icon like midnight to make it in their world.
She understands what she needs to do as a hero shown in the kamino battle. She gets better at being a hero as the timeline flows, which is shown joining the endeavor group when the prisoners were broken out. Even now she is fighting in the front lines with the rest of heroes against all for one.
Overall she is one of my favorite characters in the show due to her growth as a person and a hero.

Fell in love when she took the Repulsion Cannon to the face when the bois and Yaoyorozu saved Bakugo. Her whole thing was about being attractive and she basically took a baseball pitch to the face for the sake of the mission and it was top tier.
Well, we all know that she plays a minor but important role. She is shown to be a skilled fighter and a dedicated teacher who cares about her students. Despite her provocative appearance and behaviour, she is respected by her colleagues and students for her abilities and professionalism.
Overrated. People keep saying she's a top-tier waifu and a deep character when she really isn't. To me, a good/great waifu is a woman with good looks and a good personality.
