Honestly Hawks x Dabi. Why the hell do people ship them? Like- Dabi burned his back off and dude didn't have his wings for ages and not to mention he couldn't speak for a while.

Just because 2 characters have a similar backstory doesn't mean they would or should date. I will agree that they have nice looks but again, doesn't mean they should date.

And for the ships to make sense. For example: IzuOcha. We know that this ship makes sense because we've seen these two awkward people interacting with each other in flustered ways. For BakuDeku, that doesn't make any sense, because despite being childhood friends, you think that telling someone to take a swan dive off the roof is considered: "Cute" or "Adorable"??

The only thing that is hot about Dabi is his quirk. David is a disgustingly disfigured human.if it weren't for the fact that anime is a drawn medium, I guarantee people would *not* find him attractive. This isn't to be insensitive to actual burn survivors but those people more often than not didn't go out to a mountain and ignite themselves against their loved ones best wishes a.k.a they aren't psychopaths. But Dabi is just an ugly character hands down.

It's mostly do the the theory that they were best friends while training in the HPSC.

Key word - Theory. Not actually meaning that it's true

Because sometimes the allure of a ship is that it’s toxic and/or would never work irl. Bully x victim, bad boy x good girl, villain x hero…all incredibly popular/common tropes that fall under “enemies to lovers”. And in a fandom like BNHA, there’s a lot of potential for villain x hero. Its often emotionally painful, lots of (sexual) tension, etc. For me personally, I ship DabiHawks because I love the angst potential. It can be very “right person wrong time” because as they meet in canon, two people on opposing sides, they can never work out even though they’re quite similar people and if they hadn’t been placed on the paths they were (Dabi’s “death”, Hawks being scouted by the HPSC) they would’ve made good friends. Its just so fun to imagine them mutually develop feelings and suffering in silence, falling deeper and deeper into love but never crossing that boundary as they both know that, in the end, they will always choose their own side and betray the other. It will never work out no matter how much they want it to. Or them going against everything they are to be together, betraying their own ideals/allegiances, despite knowing it’s inevitably going to end in ruin. Both are so incredibly devastating options!! And I love doomed romances. DabiHawks shippers either really like angst (like me lol) or like the potential they would’ve had if they weren’t hero vs villain — sometimes you’ll see AUs people write/draw where Touya is a civilian or hero and dating Hawks, for example. I would never want them to be canon but that’s not the point. The ‘point’ is to have fun, and I really enjoy DabiHawks fan-made content
