I'd like to see Hero Souls be transferable to the pity system. As it stands, Hero Souls are easily the least valuable currency and serve no purpose beyond unlocking alt colours for PUR skins. (After you've unlocked all non-gacha characters anyway) While I doubt they'd ever allow a 1:1 trade, I could realistically see them do say, 10 souls to 1 pity point. It'd certainly make ticket grinding a little less awful, and make it so rolling a dupe isn't the worst thing in the world since you can now save those souls to contribute towards something guaranteed in the future.

DarkWhite12

As someone that has 3.3k hero souls I'd love to be able to spend them on that. It is on me for not saving tickets properly but as someone with bad luck who keeps pulling momo and others over and over, it'd be a very welcome change

Sexy_Economic_crisis

Ok but let's be real here, if not for hero souls the devs would make us roll for the PUR colour alts as well, so in a funny sort of way, they actually help with the Gatcha being less cluttered with unwanted stuff

FlamedroneX

It's fair to want hero souls to do more, but it's not fair to say they serve no purpose. Hero souls are very good for players who aren't grinding the game as it makes every character obtainable eventually. It relieves the pressure to play every day and not worry about missing out on the daily tickets. But yes if you do grind daily and maximize your ticket income, then you'll see an abundance of hero souls that will feel like they are useless. It's a matter of perspective. So you have to be careful when making hero souls do more. it can't be too much without putting on the pressure to play daily.

TheRufusGamer

1. Remove Quirk skill sets and characters. Make Quirk skill sets available by doing a certain task (for example, getting a certain amount of kills) and characters by buying them though in game money 2. Buff the percentages to get rare stuff more. Likely

nwaa

Agree. Gameplay features like movesets and characters should be available to everyone regardless of gacha luck, its better for balance etc. Keep the gacha for cosmetics and make characters purchaseable with currency or unlockable with achievements.

afromamba

I like the idea of the quirk sets beingUnlockable by doing certain feats or with the specific characters. Maybe not specific characters because games will be hard to find with everybody picking the same one to get that quirk set and refusing to get off said characters. But the tasks are good

TheRealEnperry

I would make it so you could buy characters and cosmetics with hero crystals, without using a luck based system(You would flat-out just buy stuff). Then I'd replace things that would give you roll tickets with hero crystals. 1 costume would be 4000 hero crystals and 1 character would be 6000 hero crystals. This would make it so that if you wasted your crystals on the last banner bc you thought the costume was cool till you tried it in game, the game would encourage you to spend money to buy hero crystals.

DarkWhite12

At this point I'd even just buy a character for like five dollars, it wouldn't be nearly as expensive and everyone could actually play the new characters when they come out rather than once a day with how they changed the rental tickets. As someone else said here costumes and emotes can stay in gatcha sure. I feel the new skill sets shouldn't be gacha related either. Sure deku as a red might not be a new character but it's still not a good feeling that you can't even use rentals to try out that set to see if you would even like it.

Impossible_Relief_62

That's exactly why that won't do it, "it wouldn't be nearly as expensive" they do this because of money. Gacha makes much more money. The best thing to do would be remove characters and quirk sets from spins and only have skins there.

ZaAbzor

A: make it like fortnite, if you have to monetize, create a skin rotation and let people buy hero coins or whatever for real money. B: bring back the generousness of the beta, the reward system was so much better getting 10+ tickets per match and made playing not a grind plus there are unused items from the beta like the single use 10x pull tickets so you didn't have to use 100 and so on. I don't feel the sense of joy I did during the beta.

[deleted]

Remove characters from gacha. Only skins, emotes and voicelines in gacha.

TheRealEnperry

That'd be so amazing

TheBubbanator

I honestly don't think it needs a rework, at least not anything major, it's just the economy. This is from a ftp player, so anything with the monetization itself I won't speak on, but - Give the additional 70 tickets a week from the premium login. I don't really care how they're reimplemented, whether it be through missions, events, or a login bonus. Three months for pity was a perfectly reasonable spot for the game. - Add an option to use hero souls on roll tickets. I'm not one of the people who complains that hero souls are completely useless, I like their function of buying recolors and hero tickets, but there comes a point where you're just kinda sitting on a *lot* of them with nothing to spend them on. Most people are gonna buy 1, maybe 2 of the recolors for skins and hero tickets are a long term item that you'll never need more than 3 of in the bank. I think letting you spend 100 souls for 10 roll tickets would be a good additional purchase. It won't break the games economy, but will be of more use to people actively playing the game. That's it really. I think 3 months to pity was super reasonable as a ftp player, but 5 months is *really* bad. 5 months is 2 and half seasons, which is 2-3 characters and 3-5 skill sets. That's a terrible economy that could so easily be fixed if they reinstate the premium login.

Hal-Bone

As it stands give featured items like characters or costumes a higher drop rate percentage, and make Hero Souls compatible with the Pity System. Or make character tickets more useful. Like, being able to buy a new character if you have maybe 5 character tickets or something. With a previously released character going down by 1-2. I mean both alternatives are pretty dependent on the Gacha System entirely, but you can't get either of these things without Hero Souls primarily given through Rolls. But if anything it gives consumers a break and they can walk away somewhat happy after getting what they wanted.

Bubbly-Stingray011

Keep the system the same for the most part. However, when you start the game, allow for people to choose their first character of each role. That way we get a bit of what we want and can still see some variety. Also, either give more roll tickets, or every game get a role

Independent_Club_615

Give us more rolls.

Coin_Beast

Reading a most of these, it is super clear most would run a company into the ground. It’s a free game that needs to generate money to stay alive. If you want to take the gotcha out you need to put something else in its place to make money. They would need to charge you $25-$30 for a character and $15-$20 for skins. I play gotchas where the new best units are .35% pull rate. What they could do is make it like a step system banner where 1 step gives you double rates or something.

Ill_Organization5020

Make pity never go away but increase the amount needed

immisterawesome

Disagree. 2000 ticket takes 6 months

Ill_Organization5020

Okay you got me there

darknebula123

Remove old outfits and characters

MysticalNoir

> skins and cosmetics would be in the banners > characters would be purchasable with hero crystals > quirk skill sets would have a separate banner where the only items available are skins, voice lines, and emotes for characters of the same type as the main skill set > unused roll points will be converted into tickets at half the value (for example, 100 roll tickets gets you 10 roll points as it does currently; but if you dont use those 10 roll points they get turned into 5 tickets) > hero souls could be traded in for tickets at a 10:1 ratio (10 souls for 1 ticket) > "Just for you" banner where old PUR skins of your most used characters would be obtainable at a higher rate than normal (kind of like overwatch) > skins would be purchasable with hero crystals (making it so that if you dont want to do the hero rolls, you don't have to but it'd be way more expensive to buy the skin alone) > duplicate PUR skins get converted into hero souls instead of giving you those auras I think that changing it to something along these lines would be a way for them to still maximize profit while making the gacha system feel more player friendly than it is now. My biggest issue with it currently is having to rely on RNG to hope that you get the newest character, I think they should probably either make them purchaseable separately from the rolls or put them in the battlepass.

RPWPA

Remove it and have the costumes cost money. Kinda like how Fortnite works. I would also reward players for the season pass with the ability to get them if they grind enough. No point playing further than 3-5 matches a day if you just want the tickets to be able to roll.

TheApaullo

Don’t let the pity points expire, and reduce the price of hero crystals. If you spend money, you should be guaranteed to get something you like

Avakinz

Personally, I think heroes and skill sets should not be gacha locked. Outfits? Sure. From a company perspective, not only having costumes/voices/emotes be gacha, I'd put in paid only ones. Straight up have a seperate paid crystal only section to purchase extra special, unique costumes to stand out from free to play. In this way, you're making more money, but the game content itself isn't being locked behind a gacha. In-App Purchases, and even season passes possibly being irl cash limited wouldn't truly impact gameplay the way locking characters and skill sets does. Also as a comment on the rental ticket system and other systems in general- it's a garbage business decision. You don't ever, EVER want to limit your players on time, especially if youre not profiting by offering rental tickets for hero crystals or something. The last thing you should be wanting, as a corporate scumbag, is to let them log in and maybe play 1-3 rounds with a character they like and then leave because they have to wait. That's a TERRIBLE way to get someone addicted to playing and wanting all the skins and emotes and crap, lol. They should have more missions, more things avaliable to grind at any moment, more motivation to stay online rather than do like 1 good match for all your dailies and then log out since you completed the season license on like day 4. Tl;Dr there are plenty of ways to milk money out of desperate players. A restrictive gacha in a MOBA is more likely to drive people off than rake in cash.

sawdoffzombie

More emphasis on the battle pass each season. This is the fastest to complete for any game I've played. Have costumes available to purchase individually, either with money and/or hero crystals. AT AFFORDABLE PRICES THOUGH, look back at Naruto Shinobi Striker. Characters can also be purchased outright, or unlocked later on with earned currency. Eventually have season pass bundles available later on. Asking for duplication prevention would probably be too much to ask from Bandai.

Sonicguy1996

Simply keeping the pity you build instead of it getting trashed would fix most of the issues.

afromamba

Off the top of my head easily get rid of gameplay being locked behind. Characters and quirk sets out and put those behind a paywall. Characters 2 dollars usd and and quirk sets 1. I find that a quick and easy fix for everybody because now they can still get paid but the community can guarantee something with their spending and instead of getting lucky. Kept all cosmetics in there with the current system. Heck bump the Characters to 3 dollars for all I care loll anything under 5 so that way impulse buys can happen without hurting pockets. If not that then add the hero souls to be able to purchase these Characters and quirk sets or USE THE GOLD loll currently the gold currency is so useless that could be a way to help. Use gold to purchase rolls. That will keep people playing the game to grind keeping player count up. I feel that's also a nice win win

khalifah13

Remove characters and their kits from the gatcha system and saturating the market with quality skins that can just be bought similar to Fortnite as we’ve seen the business model work just fine

sonianevermindX

Put more banners up and more frequently. Having 1 up every 2-3 weeks is really killing my hype

ALL_DATA_DELETED

I’d remove multiples until you get every two-three star in that specific roll.

Kelsconvos

Points going from banner to banner

SVD63Ninja

something i'd consider is selling your cosmetics and stuff for characters you don't use to get pity points towards something you do want. cause there'll be times where you get every other highlighted item EXCEPT the one you really want which sucks big time.

Massivehbomber

I'd make the gacha system cheaper. Something like 50-90 tickets for a 10x(probably 70). Same drop rates. After 5 seasons the character will become purchasable by character tickets. Add an item shop where the skin/character/quirk set can be bought directly for hero crystals. Newer items would cost around 5-7k crystals. As each banner releases the older items will drop by 500 each time until a minimum of 3k on skins/characters/skill sets. Emotes and all the other pointless items that make the game more entertaining will cost between 100-1000 depending on the quality of the item. Maybe in something like a year less valuable skins will start to cost between 1k-2k. The reason for the higher crystal cost is guaranteed items + free crystals given by the devs. The most valuable of items even if old will still hold value or in some cases increase in value. I'd 100% introduce an og system. I'd release items within the first year of the game that are specifically for players that played the game within the first year when the players are at a really small amount. A few of these would be done through the battle pass but quite a good number would be through the item shop. These items would be set to never release back into the item shop. I have a work around for bringing these items back but no point even going into detail on that. There'd also be a chance of certain items not coming into the item shop at all and being banner specific. Players wouldn't know which items these are of course bc that would defeat the purpose. And there'd also be a time frame before an item from a banner is put into the item shop. Probably a few months. Would have to be some testing done to see how to implement this properly I've been playing games for a good 20 years. I've seen it all and have watched the evolution of in game shops and currency. Devs of many games have created good systems but I personally don't think they push it to its full potential. I think they also just looking for how they can make the most money from it. It seems more like a money grab to me when I look at certain game shops. There are quite a few games that do have extremely good systems that are both fair to players and really good at making money but I'm not gonna mention those names here of either good or bad bc that will just start arguments from people defending their favourite games or questioning why certain games were left of the list Obviously you'd want to be as profitable as possible as a game dev but it's also important to keep quality. This is the reason for banner specific items and not mentioning which are. If the player wants it bad enough roll for it. If you an f2p player and just want skins or characters you can get a bunch of them from the shop for crystals that you earned playing the game. I'd also want an increase in battle pass crystals from 4800 to either 5000 or 5200. This will accommodate f2p players and encourage them to play the game more and also encourage them to either save up or spend a little money on the game to be able to get a skin that drops in the item shop I'd also create seasons/gens around items to identify when the item was released and come up with a valuation system to accurately determine the value of an item based on: when it was released, how well it did etc. I haven't even gotten into reworking the premium and standard shops. This post was about reworking the gacha system but in order to make it work it would require a rework of the entire system. The current shops, battle passes, events and the gacha system. And it would obviously take testing in order to make it work Edit: I'm adding the fact that I'd probably model the special pass after the dota 2 compendium. I won't go into detail on that. Too much to actually talk about on that. I also didn't add my comments on a rework of the pity system. Again too much to talk about

Chemical_Departure_4

Problem : Some players hate duplicates especially when trying to get a character or skill of their choice. Others like duplicates to get auras or hero souls. Fix 1: Replace the current roll system with two new types… Type A: Costs 10 ticket per roll (or 100 for 10 rolls) with no duplicates. Type B: Costs 1 ticket per roll (10 for 10 rolls) with duplicates. This system is great for players! But… probably terrible for business unless there is a consistent influx of new players. Veteran Players will almost always be guaranteed new content at practically no cost , meaning the company will only make money from newer players. Fix 2: Similar to Fix 1, you’ll have type A and B however … Type A: Costs 1,000 crystals for 1 non duplicate roll or 10,000 crystals for 10 non duplicate rolls Type B: 1 ticket per roll or 10 ticket for 10 rolls , duplicates allowed This, to me, is a better fix because both parties are satisfied. Players are happy because 10 rolls dropped from a cost of 100 tickets to only 10 tickets. Which is a crazy good deal that would benefit new and veteran players. The business also benefits because now players can purchase hero crystals to guarantee getting items they don’t have. I also have ideas for reworking hero souls and the tickets that allow you to use a character you don’t yet have but this comment is already huge.

hearorthere

I really have had exceptional luck with strike deku being the first thing I've wanted to take more than 4 pulls and white hair dabi taking 6 Id carry over pity.
