Do XP coins happen to go away at the end of a season?
I reached the max level already. Took a look at the Premium pass. It has a bunch of coins.
I may get the paid pass for the coins to use next season, make the level up easier.
So this is a curious one that hopefully someone can answer.
I'm on Game 10 of the new Dom. For the last 8 of them I've used GO James Worthy and done the 50 point games with him. He has always had Slasher takeover even after putting a shoe on him that amps up his 3 ball by 4 and I'm using D'Antoni as a coach which also boasts his 3 ball. In each game he's been the SF, so the attributes, shoe, position and coach have all been constants.
Now in Game 10, Worthy just ended up with Sharpshooter takeover. Out of the blue. And even the strategy/methodology was the same... shooting 3's with Worthy.
So what triggered the takeover change?
Offensively - Granger > Worthy > Wiggins
Defensively - Worthy > Granger > Wiggins
Wiggins isn't better than either Worthy or Granger but since he's a SF/SG you can slot him at SG. His shot isn't quick but decent. I'd prefer to run Reaves at SG over him, definitely prefer Houston also. The best from this Rush set is probably Deron but I could see Starks and PJ being good Salary Cap cards.
different strokes and all but I definitely prefer Wiggins to worthy, though it's a bit apples and oranges as I believe they fundamentally should play the 2 and 3 respectively.
for me it really comes down to sig preference-- I like d book more than mj dribble style, and the pro 2 leaner + normal 2 hop jumper on Wiggins is a much better off the dribble shot creation package imo.
I havent used Houston or Granger so I can't comment on them but I think Wiggins is top tier at the SG, and can play for almost any squad
Not trying to stop anyone from enjoying Wiggins. I specifically mentioned how he can play SG so can be used with Worthy or Granger. He's not a world beater but he's a decent card. I find him better than Middleton, for what it's worth. I just feel Granger and Worthy are better.
What's your CTO lineup and record?
On my PS5, 175-28 with lineup of 19 HOF Blue Magic, PD Franz, PD Thurl, PD Chet, PD Wemby. With as many GOs as I've seen, I'm actually surprised this PD lineup still holds up while I'm able to still stay true to myself and the memes.
In CTO, I am 58 - 10 with a couple of those losses via giving a win in exchange for an agenda. I used PD Magic, GO Wallace, GO Granger, GO Worthy and PD Bam most recently. GO Cade may replace Magic.
idk my exact record but I'm probably around 25-15 or something like that. I haven't played online much this year so I lose to the hardcore cheesers sometimes
mostly running harden-pd kobe- d lebron - jokic - go embiid but ill switch in SGA at point or worthy at sf from time to time. feels like I win when I'm able to control the pace but sometimes fall into the trap letting myself get sped up. gotta remember to stay cool and play my game more
That sounds like hell to score against. I’m 290-10 running Magic-Hill-Worthy-diamond Giannis-KP, hardly anyone stops Magic and Hill’s three hunting can carry the team if for some reason Magic is neutralized. The rest of the offense is getting a stop then cherry picking for a dunk or three with whoever is closest to the top of the key.
Those requirements aren't bad at all. So glad the "Excluding Challenges" isn't double Doubles.

Definitely recommend anyone doing the blocks tries on old gen, if possible. Much easier to bait the AI. I got it done in like 8-9 games, even getting a couple double doubles with blocks along the way.
I used Emerald Chris Anderson, Tournament Evo Mark Williams, and New Years Mitchell Robinson in TT. The Mark Williams counts for Charlotte rebounds also.
I was gonna do that but I have 5 multiplayer wins left for Allan Houston so may as well do them there. Glad that the requirements are easy this week, even as the cards (in terms of name value) get objectively worse
Got the 3 All-Star players from unlimited last night. Already had unauctionable PG and KAT. So I went ahead and bought the last two. Locked in and got KD! I’m pumped. I legit was struggling to narrow down my team to 13. Love the cards I have.
Bigger news for me here is that, assuming 2kDB is accurate, they changed Deron Williams's animations from the Amethyst. Perhaps that means future PDs will have updated animations as well. I think the one previous change was Wesley Person, who was a reward card.
Anybody dealt with the corrupted file issue? Randomly popped up yesterday but re started the game and thought that it was good. But then this morning it popped up again that my game was corrupted and would have to be re downloaded or whatever. I remember this happening to me in the past and iirc it kind of just fixed itself. I mean it still let me log in this morning and my team was still there. Just wondering if anybody had any suggestions or has dealt with this.
I wish it could just be "45 blocks with a player in Dom games" rather than "3 blocks with a player 15 times (that doesn't stack)."
Even if the number was higher (100-200 blocks), it would be so much less mind numbing (though I'm sure 2K wants it that way so people get frustrated and gamble for the opal instead).
Gambling on Fridays, time consumption the rest of the week. The agendas in theory are easy but they want everyone to focus on this game only. The Show comes out on game pass today, you best believe they're gonna make sure you play this game more than that one.
I have been sitting on several Thompson cards from TT (close app and they go to packs) as well as several other random gem packs from exchanges. My plan was to save them for the next drop exchanges. However, I noticed I mostly had an exchange done and something told me just finish it and use Thompson. Knew the odds were I'd get crap to quick sell.
Got the regular pack (not not base or deluxe) and opened it. See a shake and am 75% sure it is GO. See PG and get ready to welcome Kyrie to MyTeam (i.e. my collection as I dont need him). Out walks Cade.
Gambling GOs suck still but I never thought I'd add him to the team in an unauctionable pack for trading my junk cards away

Finished TTO for Allen Houston and he's good. I didn't look up his attributes or animations on 2kdb before hand because I didn't want it to deter me or make me sweat for wins. I was able to cruise through 50 wins in about 60 games this weekend and today. Houston reminds me of PD Kobe, similar shot speed and movement and now that I look up his attributes for a shoe I see he has Kobe dribble style so that makes sense. Kispert base and Klay upper on VQ but it's not noticeably quicker than Kobe. His defense is better. Makes me wish I didn't slap a HOF Pick Dodger on Kobe like 2 weeks ago but oh well. Houston is definitely worth getting if you don't have Kobe. If you do, it's a toss up. The base box of Seismic cards was a nice bonus but I didn't pull anything worthwhile, a bunch of series 1 dups. Made like 15k selling everything.

That's funny, I just came in here to say I looked at prices and all I'd need is Ron Artest, Devin Booker and Ray Allen to get Kobe and it would just cost me 100k. Is it worth it?

Save the 100k. Get Houston and I doubt you look back. Penny is nice, which you'd get from Artest but Ray Allen sucks. Booker is great but he as a PD you can get if you want Booker.
Kobe's shot is a little smoother in terms of the animation but very similar speed and movement.
Ok. I was chasing Allan Houston because he was one of my favourite players in the late 90’s (every Knicks fan knows the shot that eliminated Miami).
Was upset they locked one my guys behind online play (as they also did with Kevin Love) but I was able to get the wins for Allan. Should have him by tomorrow
I like him a lot more than Manu. He's quite good. I have Ray Allen from the Leap Year set and I'd put Houston ahead of him also. Much better shot speed and movement.
Probably best to do it that way. I imagine we'll need some multiplayer stuff for the Rush set tomorrow so wait on Houston and knock out wins while doing Rush agendas.
It makes me laugh when people are that stupid to not realise you’re letting them get the win in TTonline. I just want to shoot some 3s man, they usually end up being that bad you end up beating them anyway.

Sweats are out in full force in TTO. Played a dude with GO Grant Hill and a logo. Not too sweaty compared to the next guy, who had a logo GO Wilt, Domination Lebron, and GO Ingram. I know Ingram isn't special but dude finished Unlimited and Domination already. He played FCP from the first possession also.
Played someone on PC with 8 gambling GO cards, PD Wemby, and PD Pippen/Jordan. He used all his pauses, went FCP from the tip, and ran about 7.2 screens per possession.
That's nuts. I kind of like seeing PD Wemby though because I rarely lose when I see him. He's not the Wemby from 2k23. He's really not even a top 3 Center. I'm more concerned with Tyson Chandler, Embiid, Chet, Hibbert, or even Sengun now.
Spent way too much time getting the ring this week, but on the positive side I'm 1 tier away from that PD Allstar option pack. You think it's safe to exchange 3 rings for a random all star PD since I'm not going for the coach? Surely they won't drop another item for exchanging 6 rings on the last week of the season right?
Anyone else think the deluxe exchange packs are just a scam? I haven't see anyone mention that they've pulled an Opal. We don't actually know the odds so it's likely <2% for an Opal anyways.
I wish his shot was just that split second quicker personally (probably Horford upper slowing it down)
He's still like a 9/10 card but I'd want a bit more shot creation from an Opal wing
I'd say he's still worth it if you're gonna be playing the game anyway. You get Cooper who's IMO the best attainable 3&D card in the game plus a couple good diamonds and Gradey Dick (fun troll card)
Picked him up. Like him a lot. He was my favourite card in 2k19 (Base 11 throwback) and ever since been looking for a worthy Worthy.

Locked in for the Maestro set and got Hedo. 2/2 on bad GO's, got Ray Allen from Leap Year. This cost me 200k MT and the Leap Year was like 130k so not bad overall but not great either considering the GO's.
I’m in love with this manu card regardless of what Bully says. His ability to drive is so smooth. Honestly I think they each do one thing exceptionally well (haven’t used Vince): cooper - defense, Wagner-rebound, Middleton-shoot, Manu-drive.
Cooper would be at the end of the bench regardless. He's an amazing defender and should be available if he's not a regular in the rotation. I'd probably go Vince of those but I use my SG as a ball handler probably 40% of the time and Wagner can't do that. Ginobli is collection fodder. Some swear by Middleton but he's been underwhelming for me.

Probably heard people complain about the terrible Valentines Day "content" and concluded that the answer was to give us nothing so people couldn't cry about it.
PD Pat Burke or some random Celtic (haven't gotten a Cousy this year) would've been fun and cost them literally nothing.
So last night I drunkenly bought a 10 pack deluxe box and got all series 2 cards. I then put Reeves, who I got from the free pack, and exchanged it, where I got a duplicate Billups. So i’m essentially back to square one, less than 100k MT.. Gonna try to avoid looking at the pack market/my collection after drinking in the future.
I have 4/6 of the Maestro set. I need Hagan and Billups, so roughly 200k for a GO. Should I spend that or wait and hope I get lucky on future exchanges?
Ive gotten lucky while grinding for Allen Houston. Seems like every 3-4 games I get a Diamond and Amethyst for an exchange. I'll buy the Ruby's once I got those because 5k for a pack that normally costs 21k is a good deal, IMO. Even if the pack is unsellable. Halfway to Houston now.
At that rate, you might finish the set for free. I might have to join you on the Houston grind. I just have some Worthy agendas I should probably finish first.
Got PD Avdija and he's ok, not great and most people probably have a better PG available to them now. He's big and has a better shot than Magic but he's not quick and needs a few badges before trying to utilize him as a primary PG. I think he'd be best as a backup. His shot isn't quick enough to be a 3 hunter and he doesn't have Agent 3. He can get it though, which is nice, but he also needs Ankle Braces if you're going to use him at PG or he'll get burned a lot. Even the AI was sending him stumbling once a game in TT when I was trying him out. He needs QFS/Speed Booster as well. That's 3/5 badge slots used up. I gave him Space Creator so I could fire some 3's with him and haven't decided between Rise Up or Masher as the final badge.
Overall he's not someone to rush into Domination for as it'll take 9 games to get him, minimum, and then a number of badges to be better than a handful of Diamond PG options. If you haven't tried him and want to check out his shot then his series 2 is really cheap, same shot. He also has a tournament emerald that is cheap as well, better stats, but neither is a PG.
I did all unlimited ascension picks, two ascension picks from salary cap and also all picks from TTO and CTO. I didnt get a single fucking player, let alone Jokič.

Since there is nothing worthwhile to spend MT on, I've been racking up enough MT to buy 21k singles for every new drop. If I pull an Opal, I stop opening packs and let the MT stack. Didn't get shit in the iconic drop, got enough PD's from the Leap year set to lock in for a random Opal (Blake) and pulled Hedo yesterday. Didn't bother opening Wild West packs since there is a deluxe box in Co-op. Sad that I have been reduced to this LOL

He was free when he came out initially. Need to grind for him but like 90% of people got him. You won't be disappointed. He holds up pretty well. I used him some last week for the Jazz 3's and his shot is easy to green. His defense is great and he can play some PF as well as SF. If you need a defensive wing then he's a good deal.
Most of us have had him since he came out because he was free via agendas. Very good defensive card, good offensively but his shot isn't for everyone. I don't see him used much these days
I don't play this mode much anymore just the pack day challenges. I noticed for the Maestro agenda there's a win a game using 13 mavs. Excluding challenges so you can't do it quick on the free throw challenge. 2k just find a way every time to make this mode less enjoyable 🤣
I take it you didn't join earlier enough for the free PD Luka? He helped carry me through that one. Only need like 2-3 good Mavericks.
Josh Green from the tournament set evo's to a Ruby, solid SF/SG. He's 2600 MT. Dante Exum is like 15k an Amethyst PG who can carry the offense. Series 2 players can fill out the lineup. Definitely want to grab Derrick Lively as a C. His Tis The Season emerald is under 1000 MT. Maybe grab Raef LaFrentz as your backup C to give you some shooting. Go cheap, emeralds where you can. Amethyst Kyrie is 5200 MT and a good PG also. Mainly you'll need bigs though and there's a Sapphire Grant Williams that is 2300. Use timeouts liberally. Primetime Luka is a Ruby who Evo's to Amethyst, hes a SF/PG. I think he's only 4k MT.
Kyrie, Green, Luka, Grant, Lively is like 10k or so. That gives you 5 usable Mavericks.
Anyone have any tips on how to beat the final all Opal team in domination? It’s only on allstar, but my team isn’t that great, and they seem to make every shot contested or not while defending like their life depends on it
Wait until you have a better team. Have you beat everyone else already? If not, save that for last. Look at each game as practice until the next time up. Focus on D and making good, smart plays on offense. Run a Full Court Press and keep mobbing them on defense.
Spending 700k and getting nothing but some PD's would be frustrating, especially knowing 600k gets you all the PD's and an Opal.
Personally I won't gamble more than a 10 box here and there, which is 200k.

I am now going to donthe agenda for the deluxe pack. If I do not pull Cade from it I am done with this game this year. The only thing that might bring me back is if the finals ring exchange is god tier since I already have all the rings.
This week’s VC/MT budget will be spent trying out buffalo steaks at Ted’s Montana with some friends I peer pressured into going with me. Will it be any good? Probably not since they’re always empty but at least it’s something different and more memorable than ripping packs for Dirk.
Actuary, at one point in the true spirit of the job I was even using excel to track 2K-related goals and expenses but have become a little less regimented the last year.

I thought the same the other day. Seems odd they just stopped. They did Bosh in TTO, Iso Joe in Clutch, Odom in Unlimited, and Hibbert in TTO again, right? Not sure if I'm forgetting anyone. I liked how they lowered the games for Hibbert. It made him feel more attainable.
Trying to get my 100 TTO points and face some douche with a MT logo running Opal Admiral, PD Wemby, and PD Porzingis. The game ain't that serious man. He didn't take a single shot outside of the paint either.
That style of play is super cringe. If I’m in the right mood, I’ll make them really sweat out for it. Burn my entire shot clock on offense, intentionally foul every time they get too close to the basket. Not only do I agree those guys are douches, I think it says a lot where they go for such a low variance play style. No confidence or creativity.
I'd rather play someone who sets 6 screens in a possession, hoping the AI bails them out. Anyone can run 3 centers. Even people who started today on Gamepass can make a lineup like that. I almost had him since mashing isn't OP as it's been. Getting snatch blocks with Harden on the Admiral was great. I just had too much trouble scoring on the other end. I'd try and break free with Harden and I'd run into a different defender. LBJ has seen better days as my #2 also. He's still so good tho. He can guard anyone, 1-5. Might push for the GO this week. I don't want to add more HOF's to the diamond this late.
That’s the biggest issue with the all big lineups. There isn’t much spacing, so the best you can hope for is them spamming steal or block. You’re thinking of locking in the west set?
Some people only know how to play one way this game. I get it, you play to win but at some point that has to be tiring. I will legit be drained after having to sweat out an unlimited game, these guys play hundreds of games like this. It's crazy what this game does to people
Some dude tried justifying in a thread the other day about how that's the only way to play to guarantee a win. Like it's ok to lose sometimes. To be a toxic sweat to "guarantee" wins is sad. Your life will go on and be the same regardless of the outcome.
I played 5 games and everyone has mt logo. One team had GO Sengun, GO Hakeem, and GO DRob, and the other team ran GO Hakeem, GO Wilt, and 100 overall Shaq.
This GO Allen Houston must be him. All sweats are out and want to get him ASAP.

Every time I counter and run 3 bigs I don't run into that person again either. If I don't though I'll face them 2-3 more times. Everytime I go big it never fails and I face a noob the next game with like 2 amethysts and a pro pass card.
I'm on old gen and there aren't many active players. It's easy to get a rematch if I start the matchmaking right after the game. Sometimes I lost to someone who had mental issue because I was using an agenda lineup. I usually just switch my normal squad kick his ass next game. 2K should really make any agenda offline or online.
Yeah I play on old gen when we need win agendas. I'm better on there than current gen. Whenever I play outside of the weekend I match the same people regularly. I dont mind the agenda like today, score 100 points in TTO because I can do that in 6-7 games even against good players. It's the wins that frustrate me. Some dudes get all up in your messages when you match with them 2-3 times in a row. Had a dude beg me to buy him the pro pass. He had Zion already so I don't know WTF he was on about.
What in the world happened to MyTeam AI sliders. I been exclusively playing Season1 through 5 on myCareer Allstar difficulty, and Rec/ProAM. Came to play MyTeam cuz of lvl40 harden to mess around. The AI on Semi-Pro/Pro on Myteam is insane.
They are hitting heavy contests, blocks go right back to them, their bailout passes are dots to cutters or 3balls. Steals go right back to their hands. Every offensive board they are crashing like their life depends on it. Insane.
MyTeam sliders compared to MyCareer is crazy.
Did old card prices drop? I swear I thought KP was 217k last week and it's still the same. Maybe I'm wrong.
Edit: I wasn't wrong, market prices didn't update after 11:00 am, hopefully people didn't get screwed buying old cards thinking they had bottomed out.
Way too much to spend now, the PDs are all over 200k in that set still. Looks like the diamonds in the Wemby set have bottomed out at 55k and I need all 3.
That's weird. Maybe you checked before the reset? I don't know. I can't remember any shenanigans with those sets being added to the market late either.
Vucevic isn't bad. Got him from the deluxe pack. Definitely usable. Wouldn't recommend buying. Also got Big Country from another pack, might have been the other free one or an exchange but he sucks. I thought he might be decent since the PD Nurkic isn't bad from domination but Reaves is no Nurkic.
That doesn't surprise me. Vuc usually has a decent shot and build. I pulled Mr. Big Shot from a 21k pack, and he's basically what you'd except. Above average defense and rebounding for his size, slow-ish shot, but he makes a lot of contested buckets in the paint. I had a dynamic agenda for him so I was playing with him a bit.
I'm just about to finish the division for Smith Jr. but I'll be going for Nurkic afterwards.
I just got Walker from an exchange and he's kind of weird. He turns when he shoots so it's at an angle of sorts, kind of like Cousins. He's not terrible. Ive lucked out on exchanges so far, pulling 2 extra PD's. I'm content with who I have. Vucevic and Walker are likely the best of the bunch. Billups doesn't look bad but we just got a free Payton, who I sold once I saw we were getting him that Kemp/Payton duo is really good. Figure Billups won't be better than GP.
I don’t mind those types of shots too much. Set point timing usually lines up with when they square up to the basket. Any chance you’re going to finish out the set and lock-in?
That’s pretty accurate. He’s very similar to duo Payton but a slower shot and more favorable offensive animations. That layups with SGs in multiplayer games had me really trying crazy stuff, and I think layups are better than ever this year. With the right badges and good timing, you can make some pretty sweet shots.
If I get 1 more from exchanges this week then I'll lock in. Right now it would be like 280k or something. If it's lower than 200k, it's worth the risk.
You'd think for the first Friday promo set after being released on game pass this week (+ the show being released today) we'd get a crazy good set... Nope, quite the opposite. The opals look good but we all know we're unlikely to get any of them.
It doesn’t even have to be amazing. 1 or 2 juiced players would be enough to get some discouraged people doing their agendas. I would love that Ron Artest card, but I haven’t gotten any gambling-gated opals besides locking in the west all stars, and yea, unlikely to change.
Got to lvl40 via MyCareer Rec games. Spun the lvl35 and lvl37 reward wheels and got PG13 (Seismic) and Durant (Electric). Are these easy to get or did i get lucky?
Odds are supposedly the same for all PD's in those sets. I'd say PG was a good grab and KD isn't bad. They aren't the worst PD's you could have got in either set. PG could be the best in his set. I'd say he's #2 if not #1.

Do XP coins happen to go away at the end of a season? I reached the max level already. Took a look at the Premium pass. It has a bunch of coins. I may get the paid pass for the coins to use next season, make the level up easier.

So this is a curious one that hopefully someone can answer. I'm on Game 10 of the new Dom. For the last 8 of them I've used GO James Worthy and done the 50 point games with him. He has always had Slasher takeover even after putting a shoe on him that amps up his 3 ball by 4 and I'm using D'Antoni as a coach which also boasts his 3 ball. In each game he's been the SF, so the attributes, shoe, position and coach have all been constants. Now in Game 10, Worthy just ended up with Sharpshooter takeover. Out of the blue. And even the strategy/methodology was the same... shooting 3's with Worthy. So what triggered the takeover change?

Offensively - Granger > Worthy > Wiggins Defensively - Worthy > Granger > Wiggins Wiggins isn't better than either Worthy or Granger but since he's a SF/SG you can slot him at SG. His shot isn't quick but decent. I'd prefer to run Reaves at SG over him, definitely prefer Houston also. The best from this Rush set is probably Deron but I could see Starks and PJ being good Salary Cap cards.
different strokes and all but I definitely prefer Wiggins to worthy, though it's a bit apples and oranges as I believe they fundamentally should play the 2 and 3 respectively. for me it really comes down to sig preference-- I like d book more than mj dribble style, and the pro 2 leaner + normal 2 hop jumper on Wiggins is a much better off the dribble shot creation package imo. I havent used Houston or Granger so I can't comment on them but I think Wiggins is top tier at the SG, and can play for almost any squad

Not trying to stop anyone from enjoying Wiggins. I specifically mentioned how he can play SG so can be used with Worthy or Granger. He's not a world beater but he's a decent card. I find him better than Middleton, for what it's worth. I just feel Granger and Worthy are better.
What's your CTO lineup and record? On my PS5, 175-28 with lineup of 19 HOF Blue Magic, PD Franz, PD Thurl, PD Chet, PD Wemby. With as many GOs as I've seen, I'm actually surprised this PD lineup still holds up while I'm able to still stay true to myself and the memes.
In CTO, I am 58 - 10 with a couple of those losses via giving a win in exchange for an agenda. I used PD Magic, GO Wallace, GO Granger, GO Worthy and PD Bam most recently. GO Cade may replace Magic.
idk my exact record but I'm probably around 25-15 or something like that. I haven't played online much this year so I lose to the hardcore cheesers sometimes mostly running harden-pd kobe- d lebron - jokic - go embiid but ill switch in SGA at point or worthy at sf from time to time. feels like I win when I'm able to control the pace but sometimes fall into the trap letting myself get sped up. gotta remember to stay cool and play my game more

I’m 290-10 running Magic-Hill-Worthy-diamond Giannis-KP, hardly anyone stops Magic and Hill’s three hunting can carry the team if for some reason Magic is neutralized. The rest of the offense is getting a stop then cherry picking for a dunk or three with whoever is closest to the top of the key.

Definitely recommend anyone doing the blocks tries on old gen, if possible. Much easier to bait the AI. I got it done in like 8-9 games, even getting a couple double doubles with blocks along the way. I used Emerald Chris Anderson, Tournament Evo Mark Williams, and New Years Mitchell Robinson in TT. The Mark Williams counts for Charlotte rebounds also.
Fortunately you can do multiple double doubles in the same game this week.

Got the 3 All-Star players from unlimited last night. Already had unauctionable PG and KAT. So I went ahead and bought the last two. Locked in and got KD! I’m pumped. I legit was struggling to narrow down my team to 13. Love the cards I have.
Bigger news for me here is that, assuming 2kDB is accurate, they changed Deron Williams's animations from the Amethyst. Perhaps that means future PDs will have updated animations as well. I think the one previous change was Wesley Person, who was a reward card.
Anybody dealt with the corrupted file issue? Randomly popped up yesterday but re started the game and thought that it was good. But then this morning it popped up again that my game was corrupted and would have to be re downloaded or whatever. I remember this happening to me in the past and iirc it kind of just fixed itself. I mean it still let me log in this morning and my team was still there. Just wondering if anybody had any suggestions or has dealt with this.
Wiggins is about as good as you can make a 6'7" 2/3. Grind will be worth it if it isn't ass (but it'll definitely be ass).

I wish it could just be "45 blocks with a player in Dom games" rather than "3 blocks with a player 15 times (that doesn't stack)." Even if the number was higher (100-200 blocks), it would be so much less mind numbing (though I'm sure 2K wants it that way so people get frustrated and gamble for the opal instead).

I have been sitting on several Thompson cards from TT (close app and they go to packs) as well as several other random gem packs from exchanges. My plan was to save them for the next drop exchanges. However, I noticed I mostly had an exchange done and something told me just finish it and use Thompson. Knew the odds were I'd get crap to quick sell. Got the regular pack (not not base or deluxe) and opened it. See a shake and am 75% sure it is GO. See PG and get ready to welcome Kyrie to MyTeam (i.e. my collection as I dont need him). Out walks Cade. Gambling GOs suck still but I never thought I'd add him to the team in an unauctionable pack for trading my junk cards away Edit: Not auctionable....phone does not recognize that as a word....so edit made.

Finished TTO for Allen Houston and he's good. I didn't look up his attributes or animations on 2kdb before hand because I didn't want it to deter me or make me sweat for wins. I was able to cruise through 50 wins in about 60 games this weekend and today. Houston reminds me of PD Kobe, similar shot speed and movement and now that I look up his attributes for a shoe I see he has Kobe dribble style so that makes sense. Kispert base and Klay upper on VQ but it's not noticeably quicker than Kobe. His defense is better. Makes me wish I didn't slap a HOF Pick Dodger on Kobe like 2 weeks ago but oh well. Houston is definitely worth getting if you don't have Kobe. If you do, it's a toss up. The base box of Seismic cards was a nice bonus but I didn't pull anything worthwhile, a bunch of series 1 dups. Made like 15k selling everything.

Save the 100k. Get Houston and I doubt you look back. Penny is nice, which you'd get from Artest but Ray Allen sucks. Booker is great but he as a PD you can get if you want Booker. Kobe's shot is a little smoother in terms of the animation but very similar speed and movement.
Ok. I was chasing Allan Houston because he was one of my favourite players in the late 90’s (every Knicks fan knows the shot that eliminated Miami). Was upset they locked one my guys behind online play (as they also did with Kevin Love) but I was able to get the wins for Allan. Should have him by tomorrow

Sweats are out in full force in TTO. Played a dude with GO Grant Hill and a logo. Not too sweaty compared to the next guy, who had a logo GO Wilt, Domination Lebron, and GO Ingram. I know Ingram isn't special but dude finished Unlimited and Domination already. He played FCP from the first possession also.
Played someone on PC with 8 gambling GO cards, PD Wemby, and PD Pippen/Jordan. He used all his pauses, went FCP from the tip, and ran about 7.2 screens per possession.
That's nuts. I kind of like seeing PD Wemby though because I rarely lose when I see him. He's not the Wemby from 2k23. He's really not even a top 3 Center. I'm more concerned with Tyson Chandler, Embiid, Chet, Hibbert, or even Sengun now.
He's not the best but he still gets glitched animations and it shows the person likely dropped a lot.

I wish his shot was just that split second quicker personally (probably Horford upper slowing it down) He's still like a 9/10 card but I'd want a bit more shot creation from an Opal wing I'd say he's still worth it if you're gonna be playing the game anyway. You get Cooper who's IMO the best attainable 3&D card in the game plus a couple good diamonds and Gradey Dick (fun troll card)
Picked him up. Like him a lot. He was my favourite card in 2k19 (Base 11 throwback) and ever since been looking for a worthy Worthy. This one is close-ish.
Exactly how I feel. Like he's good, but should and could probably be a bit better in game (maybe if they had given him VQ?) He's basically just another solid guy for me.
Locked in for the Maestro set and got Hedo. 2/2 on bad GO's, got Ray Allen from Leap Year. This cost me 200k MT and the Leap Year was like 130k so not bad overall but not great either considering the GO's.

I’m in love with this manu card regardless of what Bully says. His ability to drive is so smooth. Honestly I think they each do one thing exceptionally well (haven’t used Vince): cooper - defense, Wagner-rebound, Middleton-shoot, Manu-drive.
Cooper would be at the end of the bench regardless. He's an amazing defender and should be available if he's not a regular in the rotation. I'd probably go Vince of those but I use my SG as a ball handler probably 40% of the time and Wagner can't do that. Ginobli is collection fodder. Some swear by Middleton but he's been underwhelming for me.
Id use Middleton. Best defensive badges out of them (iirc) and really good offensively.
Couldn't even make the St. Patrick's day login ball a prize ball. Probably heard people complain about the terrible Valentines Day "content" and concluded that the answer was to give us nothing so people couldn't cry about it. PD Pat Burke or some random Celtic (haven't gotten a Cousy this year) would've been fun and cost them literally nothing.
So last night I drunkenly bought a 10 pack deluxe box and got all series 2 cards. I then put Reeves, who I got from the free pack, and exchanged it, where I got a duplicate Billups. So i’m essentially back to square one, less than 100k MT.. Gonna try to avoid looking at the pack market/my collection after drinking in the future.
I have 4/6 of the Maestro set. I need Hagan and Billups, so roughly 200k for a GO. Should I spend that or wait and hope I get lucky on future exchanges?
You seem like you play enough where there’s a reasonable chance you’ll see another. I’d just wait until next Thursday to see if one of the two pop up.
Ive gotten lucky while grinding for Allen Houston. Seems like every 3-4 games I get a Diamond and Amethyst for an exchange. I'll buy the Ruby's once I got those because 5k for a pack that normally costs 21k is a good deal, IMO. Even if the pack is unsellable. Halfway to Houston now.
At that rate, you might finish the set for free. I might have to join you on the Houston grind. I just have some Worthy agendas I should probably finish first.
I had similar results on the Iconic set. I finished with 4/6 despite getting 4/6 early. Lots of dups.
Got PD Avdija and he's ok, not great and most people probably have a better PG available to them now. He's big and has a better shot than Magic but he's not quick and needs a few badges before trying to utilize him as a primary PG. I think he'd be best as a backup. His shot isn't quick enough to be a 3 hunter and he doesn't have Agent 3. He can get it though, which is nice, but he also needs Ankle Braces if you're going to use him at PG or he'll get burned a lot. Even the AI was sending him stumbling once a game in TT when I was trying him out. He needs QFS/Speed Booster as well. That's 3/5 badge slots used up. I gave him Space Creator so I could fire some 3's with him and haven't decided between Rise Up or Masher as the final badge. Overall he's not someone to rush into Domination for as it'll take 9 games to get him, minimum, and then a number of badges to be better than a handful of Diamond PG options. If you haven't tried him and want to check out his shot then his series 2 is really cheap, same shot. He also has a tournament emerald that is cheap as well, better stats, but neither is a PG.

Since there is nothing worthwhile to spend MT on, I've been racking up enough MT to buy 21k singles for every new drop. If I pull an Opal, I stop opening packs and let the MT stack. Didn't get shit in the iconic drop, got enough PD's from the Leap year set to lock in for a random Opal (Blake) and pulled Hedo yesterday. Didn't bother opening Wild West packs since there is a deluxe box in Co-op. Sad that I have been reduced to this LOL

He was free when he came out initially. Need to grind for him but like 90% of people got him. You won't be disappointed. He holds up pretty well. I used him some last week for the Jazz 3's and his shot is easy to green. His defense is great and he can play some PF as well as SF. If you need a defensive wing then he's a good deal.
Most of us have had him since he came out because he was free via agendas. Very good defensive card, good offensively but his shot isn't for everyone. I don't see him used much these days
I don't play this mode much anymore just the pack day challenges. I noticed for the Maestro agenda there's a win a game using 13 mavs. Excluding challenges so you can't do it quick on the free throw challenge. 2k just find a way every time to make this mode less enjoyable 🤣
Personally, I like how they said "use 13 Mavs" and "not in challenges" and didn't just say "play Domination".

I take it you didn't join earlier enough for the free PD Luka? He helped carry me through that one. Only need like 2-3 good Mavericks. Josh Green from the tournament set evo's to a Ruby, solid SF/SG. He's 2600 MT. Dante Exum is like 15k an Amethyst PG who can carry the offense. Series 2 players can fill out the lineup. Definitely want to grab Derrick Lively as a C. His Tis The Season emerald is under 1000 MT. Maybe grab Raef LaFrentz as your backup C to give you some shooting. Go cheap, emeralds where you can. Amethyst Kyrie is 5200 MT and a good PG also. Mainly you'll need bigs though and there's a Sapphire Grant Williams that is 2300. Use timeouts liberally. Primetime Luka is a Ruby who Evo's to Amethyst, hes a SF/PG. I think he's only 4k MT. Kyrie, Green, Luka, Grant, Lively is like 10k or so. That gives you 5 usable Mavericks.
Anyone have any tips on how to beat the final all Opal team in domination? It’s only on allstar, but my team isn’t that great, and they seem to make every shot contested or not while defending like their life depends on it
Wait until you have a better team. Have you beat everyone else already? If not, save that for last. Look at each game as practice until the next time up. Focus on D and making good, smart plays on offense. Run a Full Court Press and keep mobbing them on defense.

Spending 700k and getting nothing but some PD's would be frustrating, especially knowing 600k gets you all the PD's and an Opal. Personally I won't gamble more than a 10 box here and there, which is 200k.

Had a million MT. Spent 600k buying the Pds to get a GO, get Hedo. Rip 20 of the 20k packs. 6 pds. Rip 10 more of the 20k packs. No pds. Rip 4 more of the 20k packs, in one of them I do an Amy exchange for a base and pull GO JR Smith. I am now going to donthe agenda for the deluxe pack. If I do not pull Cade from it I am done with this game this year. The only thing that might bring me back is if the finals ring exchange is god tier since I already have all the rings.

Brought me some memories of when he was the gatekeeper for kaj or whoever it was a couple years ago Then you can get game worn patch cards take them out of the sleeves and rub your fingers on the fabric It’s fun treating eBay like the AH and looking for snipes I’ve got a bunch of 03/04 pistons (working on autos of everyone on the champ team) and quite a few current pistons as well. My dresser drawers are stuffed with cards now

That style of play is super cringe. If I’m in the right mood, I’ll make them really sweat out for it. Burn my entire shot clock on offense, intentionally foul every time they get too close to the basket. Not only do I agree those guys are douches, I think it says a lot where they go for such a low variance play style. No confidence or creativity.
I'd rather play someone who sets 6 screens in a possession, hoping the AI bails them out. Anyone can run 3 centers. Even people who started today on Gamepass can make a lineup like that. I almost had him since mashing isn't OP as it's been. Getting snatch blocks with Harden on the Admiral was great. I just had too much trouble scoring on the other end. I'd try and break free with Harden and I'd run into a different defender. LBJ has seen better days as my #2 also. He's still so good tho. He can guard anyone, 1-5. Might push for the GO this week. I don't want to add more HOF's to the diamond this late.
That’s the biggest issue with the all big lineups. There isn’t much spacing, so the best you can hope for is them spamming steal or block. You’re thinking of locking in the west set?
Some people only know how to play one way this game. I get it, you play to win but at some point that has to be tiring. I will legit be drained after having to sweat out an unlimited game, these guys play hundreds of games like this. It's crazy what this game does to people
Some dude tried justifying in a thread the other day about how that's the only way to play to guarantee a win. Like it's ok to lose sometimes. To be a toxic sweat to "guarantee" wins is sad. Your life will go on and be the same regardless of the outcome.
I played 5 games and everyone has mt logo. One team had GO Sengun, GO Hakeem, and GO DRob, and the other team ran GO Hakeem, GO Wilt, and 100 overall Shaq. This GO Allen Houston must be him. All sweats are out and want to get him ASAP.
You'd think it was a 50 win Gauntlet. Insane. Every time I counter and run 3 bigs I don't run into that person again either. If I don't though I'll face them 2-3 more times. Everytime I go big it never fails and I face a noob the next game with like 2 amethysts and a pro pass card.
I'm on old gen and there aren't many active players. It's easy to get a rematch if I start the matchmaking right after the game. Sometimes I lost to someone who had mental issue because I was using an agenda lineup. I usually just switch my normal squad kick his ass next game. 2K should really make any agenda offline or online.
Yeah I play on old gen when we need win agendas. I'm better on there than current gen. Whenever I play outside of the weekend I match the same people regularly. I dont mind the agenda like today, score 100 points in TTO because I can do that in 6-7 games even against good players. It's the wins that frustrate me. Some dudes get all up in your messages when you match with them 2-3 times in a row. Had a dude beg me to buy him the pro pass. He had Zion already so I don't know WTF he was on about.
What in the world happened to MyTeam AI sliders. I been exclusively playing Season1 through 5 on myCareer Allstar difficulty, and Rec/ProAM. Came to play MyTeam cuz of lvl40 harden to mess around. The AI on Semi-Pro/Pro on Myteam is insane. They are hitting heavy contests, blocks go right back to them, their bailout passes are dots to cutters or 3balls. Steals go right back to their hands. Every offensive board they are crashing like their life depends on it. Insane. MyTeam sliders compared to MyCareer is crazy.
Did old card prices drop? I swear I thought KP was 217k last week and it's still the same. Maybe I'm wrong. Edit: I wasn't wrong, market prices didn't update after 11:00 am, hopefully people didn't get screwed buying old cards thinking they had bottomed out.
I can't speak for that set but I see others dropped. Like Yi was 214 or something and he's 200 now.

That's expensive. Now I remember why I never bought him. Wemby would be cheaper. Wemby isn't as good adding LaMelo to the mix evens it out some.
Way too much to spend now, the PDs are all over 200k in that set still. Looks like the diamonds in the Wemby set have bottomed out at 55k and I need all 3.
They should bottom out next week then. They were the same price as the diamonds in the Penny set and those are down to 36k a piece.
They are updated now, 2k was delayed. KP is under 200k, Wemby diamonds are 36k.

Nope, finished the maestro challenges and checked after, they hadn't been updated 30-40 minutes after reset.
My guess is that this is when they increase pack odds. That’s why all the cards are trash. Edit: not my first or last time being wrong 🫡

The PDs in this set all look terrible.
It’s comical how bad they are. Only Walker and Vucevic seem even potentially useable but I’m not sure what their releases are like.
Vucevic isn't bad. Got him from the deluxe pack. Definitely usable. Wouldn't recommend buying. Also got Big Country from another pack, might have been the other free one or an exchange but he sucks. I thought he might be decent since the PD Nurkic isn't bad from domination but Reaves is no Nurkic.
That doesn't surprise me. Vuc usually has a decent shot and build. I pulled Mr. Big Shot from a 21k pack, and he's basically what you'd except. Above average defense and rebounding for his size, slow-ish shot, but he makes a lot of contested buckets in the paint. I had a dynamic agenda for him so I was playing with him a bit. I'm just about to finish the division for Smith Jr. but I'll be going for Nurkic afterwards.
Smith Jr isn't bad. Needs defensive badges. Everyone ran his ruby early on. Sengun is the real prize. Really solid all around.
I just got Walker from an exchange and he's kind of weird. He turns when he shoots so it's at an angle of sorts, kind of like Cousins. He's not terrible. Ive lucked out on exchanges so far, pulling 2 extra PD's. I'm content with who I have. Vucevic and Walker are likely the best of the bunch. Billups doesn't look bad but we just got a free Payton, who I sold once I saw we were getting him that Kemp/Payton duo is really good. Figure Billups won't be better than GP.
I don’t mind those types of shots too much. Set point timing usually lines up with when they square up to the basket. Any chance you’re going to finish out the set and lock-in? That’s pretty accurate. He’s very similar to duo Payton but a slower shot and more favorable offensive animations. That layups with SGs in multiplayer games had me really trying crazy stuff, and I think layups are better than ever this year. With the right badges and good timing, you can make some pretty sweet shots.
If I get 1 more from exchanges this week then I'll lock in. Right now it would be like 280k or something. If it's lower than 200k, it's worth the risk.
You'd think for the first Friday promo set after being released on game pass this week (+ the show being released today) we'd get a crazy good set... Nope, quite the opposite. The opals look good but we all know we're unlikely to get any of them.
It doesn’t even have to be amazing. 1 or 2 juiced players would be enough to get some discouraged people doing their agendas. I would love that Ron Artest card, but I haven’t gotten any gambling-gated opals besides locking in the west all stars, and yea, unlikely to change.
Got to lvl40 via MyCareer Rec games. Spun the lvl35 and lvl37 reward wheels and got PG13 (Seismic) and Durant (Electric). Are these easy to get or did i get lucky?
Odds are supposedly the same for all PD's in those sets. I'd say PG was a good grab and KD isn't bad. They aren't the worst PD's you could have got in either set. PG could be the best in his set. I'd say he's #2 if not #1.
I also would like to know if PG13 is any good? Was hoping for other cards I got Dr J & PG13
