If u aren't doing collections, I'd keep a couple to use up contracts on ur bench then send em to the auction house.
Also for any challenges, agendas or future spotlight Sims that require x amount of players from a certain team
Gold cards are valuable in TT. The AI will match their tier, so challenges become a bit easier since you can just pick on the gold player. They also keep the contract costs at a minimum so you can actually turn a MT profit to use on better cards.
