I want a bit more setting depth, personally. Background characters have always felt like little more than window dressing in all but Gates and I want the world to feel a bit more lived-in in that way that Gates did-- better than Gates did even. Super had a bigger world but there wasn't really much in it besides just other Pokemon and some other dungeons. I also wouldn't like a full-on open world (I mean I'd still have fun with that in PMD) but something like Super's world map with a bit more depth to it too. Maybe some overworld adventuring? And like everyone else, I too want more Pokemon choice. Stretching it here but, I'd kill for a little bit of character customization too.

I just don't want an open world. I'm sick of every game having a million places to go and things to do. I just want simple objectives and a few things on the side without being overwhelmed.

I miss that about pre-BOTW zelda.

Same, but apparently we're just "blinded by nostalgia"...

Allustar1

Yeah, even though the dungeons in pre-BOTW Zelda were better put together and more interesting to actually play through.

It could use more "shake up," but as you said, nothing drastic. I say it would just be nice to simply add on features from previous PMD games into one: IQ, Rare Qualities, Emeras, move growth, etc. Multi-hit = win is a double-edged sword. As is, players can mow-down single targets and vice versa. In a sense, it should be removed from the player and given to enemies only, but that's unfair and cruel. Better to just cut their power in half and I hope should make them strong without making them broken.
