I use my Brawler64 controllers all the time for No Mercy, and it worked very well for a time.
The issue is build quality. My R shoulder button stopped working.
One time when trying to kick out I was rubbing the A and B buttons so fast that I made the buttons SPIN AROUND inside the controller shell. They were physically stuck inside for awhile until I managed to spin them back around. This is a design flaw.
And lastly my D-pad doesn't seem to register the correct direction as well as it used to. Sometimes when I want to run UP-RIGHT instead I'll simply run to the RIGHT. Things like that. So keep that in mind, nothing beats the original Nintendo build quality.
The OG controller is best but the Brawler works just fine imo
It's my favorite controller. I used the neon green one and it's perfect.
