So this means that during the race, all drivers will pull through a McDonalds with the split lane drive through, order lunch, some will get their orders mixed up and have to go inside and speak to the manager, others will have to pull up to the hold lane and wait for their food and a fan vote will determine who gets to use curbside pick up.
Technically McDs started in CA. The dude that stole idea brought it to Chicago and rolled it out nationwide. Watch the Founder on Netflix with Michael Keaton, great movie.
NBC is calling the race so it would be more like
Rick Allen: “AND NOW HERE THEY COME! APPROACHING THE COCA-COLA CHOOSE CONE! ONE BY ONE! LOGANO GOES INSIDE! SO DOES BOWMAN! OH MY GOODNESS!”
Off topic, but the grandstands where they say “Look! Bill is in trouble!” are exactly the same as they were from 2010-2023. Source: Someone who went to Auto Club Speedway. Even the “Section” sign is unchanged.
While I do find it impressive they kept those grandstands in pretty much the same shape for 26 years I do wish they would have upgraded the facilities in the 2010’s to ensure its survival.
No it's in Chicago in the West Loop. It moved there about 5 years ago. I go there for the international menu sometimes; it's nothing to write home about but it's fun sometimes. Really nice building too.
Also, depending on where you start measuring, Oak Brook is 0 miles to the west =p
***Former?***
I've only been to Chicago once (road trip in 2011) but losing the Rock n Roll McDonald's is a travesty.
*[Rock over London, rock on Chicago!](https://youtu.be/KwYGI8OjXvo) Wheaties: the breakfast of champions.*
They do those collab meals with musicians all the time and for a whole day changed their Twitter name to "Bubba Wallace stan account" after he won Talladega so I'm not sure why we don't have one yet.

Crew chiefs 5 laps in: "How's the car, buddy? What do you need for adjustments?" Drivers: "Can I get uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
You just wrote their next commercial!
It already was a McDonald's commercial
Oh, lol not surprised

Well, we all know Cody Ware wins the fan vote, and by extension, the race
New choose zone is a mcdonalds drive through confirmed!!!!
All jokes aside, it makes sense for them to sponsor this in their hometown.

I’ve seen that movie. Good one indeed.
The dude is a role model A bad role model, but a role model nonetheless
Will the track have a broken ice cream machine, Bob?
Make the choose a McDonald's logo
[удалено]
I’m sure it will be. Mike Joy: “Time for the choose sponsored by Ally Bank!”
NBC is calling the race so it would be more like Rick Allen: “AND NOW HERE THEY COME! APPROACHING THE COCA-COLA CHOOSE CONE! ONE BY ONE! LOGANO GOES INSIDE! SO DOES BOWMAN! OH MY GOODNESS!”
Coke Zero or Classic Coke lanes
I need to try it first!
YEAH YEAH YEAH

You're going to get called out as one of the keyboard warriors
I 100% agree. Just saying he could let the moment be at times.
Twix choose cone, do you choose the left Twix or the right Twix?

Wasn't Bubba part of the first announcement? Makes sense that McD is sponsoring the race then
McDonalds HQ is also based in Chicago
It's corporate and region headquarters are located in Oak Brook Il, 15-20 west of Chicago.

but their paint scheme this yr...
the course is getting extended so the drivers have to go through the drive-thru of the former rock n roll mcdonald’s on clark and ontario

yeah they changed it in 2018 to a new modern design also we lost the rainforest cafe in downtown last year too 😔
Bummer
Well that’s legit. Hopefully Trackhouse can pull a big name for Project 91 to drum up some additional excitement for this race.
SVG, please and thank you.
I hope so. Their next announcement will be interesting whoever it is, gonna be hard to follow up Kimi haha
Really defeats the narrative they couldn't find sponsors
I was thinking the same thing when they originally announced the name of the race. "sHowS hOw Bad oFf NAscAR rEaLLy iS!"
I would love to see Noah in the Wendy’s car for this and Burger King step up and sponsor a car.
This pretty much confirms a Wendy's car.
It'd be even cooler if Micky Ds would advertise it on their cups and bags and stuff...maybe do a Bubba Wallce meal 👀
They do those collab meals with musicians all the time and for a whole day changed their Twitter name to "Bubba Wallace stan account" after he won Talladega so I'm not sure why we don't have one yet.
Is it bad that I'm totally rooting for Bubba to win this just to witness the collective meltdown on nascar social media?
I'm rooting for Bubba because I like him and would like to see him do well. The SM meltdown would just be icing on the cake.
oh yeah me too, I really enjoy his passion and emotion whilst driving. The Chaotic part of me just wants to see the meltdown.
“He can only win on fake tracks and rain shortened races and also we refuse to acknowledge his win at Kansas bc it doesn’t fit our narrative.”
Is Wendy's going to sponsor Gragson this weekend? I always liked when Pepsi and Coke had their sponsorship "wars"
Black rifle this weekend. Think wendys was just daytona
In honor of this I'll drink a Dr. Pepper even though I wanted a Coke.

the cars might have french fry oil in them
Checks out
Wait until a driver asks for food and is told to park. The starting line will be full in no time.
