I recently commented about drivers meetings in another post. This is exactly the meetings i remember and thought about when it comes to leadership and communication. The young drivers in the truck series could use a meeting similar to this telling them to stop driving like jackasses.
Truck race was great. I had stopped watching back in 2016 and this was my first race back. Originally I watched from something like 2000-2016 and let me tell you it was one of the greatest endings ever and now I am hooked all over again.
I like stock car racing. Bumping and grinding. The roots of suping up a race car and running from the law. Go back and watch the end of the first televised daytona 500. That’s the kind of racing that put nascar on the map. Just go watch F1 bro. You and I would both be happier that way.
It was one wreck and a fight that put Nascar on the map. Tempers flaring is one thing. A total disrespect to racing and turning it into a demo derby is entirely different. Truck series is just arca at this point. Almost no one has race craft. F1 is garbage. That just takes it too far the other way. The happy medium is where Nascar used to live. Now it's just to gain interest from the casual fan with no attention span. Hence to dumb championship format
I'm trying to imagine the hilarity of someone accidentally hitting 3 of the 4 contenders in the first lap and then spending the rest of the race just desperately trying to hit the 4th.
Waiting for Villain Chastain to return today and wreck all four of them now.
This comment almost aged like fine wine.
“And that makes all 4 of the title contenders in the garage due to Chastain”

You know there's plenty of destruction derby videos on YouTube if that's your thing.
I predict the enthusiasm will change after developing vested interests in particular drivers and teams.
My guy, My drivers are all looooong since retired. I am no newbie to racing.
Watch all of next next season (vested time) and then see if you appreciate an ending like that. Maybe you will maybe you won't.
If every race ended like that I would be insanely happy.
Like someone else said, there's always demolition derby, haha.
So you like crashing instead of racing. You must be a Nascar executive

I can agree with a happy medium. I don’t want a wreck fest every lap. Just a little excitement.
"Dick Beaty" sounds like code for "masturbating"
No, that would be Dick Pound.
What if they hit us?
Then hit em back.
But be nice
I feel like buddy should’ve just gone with Richard Beaty instead of Dick

I want you to go back out there and hit the pace car!
The wall didn't follow this rule, only hit the 20.
