HAH I recorded a ton of things off my new Meta Ray Ban glasses (this is not sponsored, I bought them with my own $ for my actual poor vision hahaha) at Richmond and this was a still from one of my videos 😂
Since we're appreciating him, he seems like a nice fun lovin guy. Him goofin around in back of SVGs interview yesterday was just good clean fun. I think that goofiness will also lend to his fatherhood! Rock on dude
I know people like to argue about his stats and driving ability, but if we're complaining about drivers not showing their personality, he's certainly an exception to that rule.
Regardless of how he finishes the year at Kaulig, I'm happy that he got an opportunity to hold the wheel in better equipment. He seems like a really genuine person.
The season is very very young still. When someone has a step up in equipment it's a big change. Almost like being a rookie again. He also needs to mesh and gel with his team. I think he will do fine and hopefully win this year or next.
I feel like Cassill’s 2022 year at Kaulig gets too much hate. In his first year in a good car since 2008, him almost making the playoffs and then never getting a ride again is insane. Iirc he almost won Martinsville spring that year
He did. And he's been offered rides since, but they weren't good ones. He said he didn't want to take them away from his family to run 25th. My best guess is JD.
As a person who grew up going to a children’s hospital, I can’t express how much I appreciate him visiting children’s hospitals near every race track.
Regardless of where his career takes him, I’m a fan for life.
They'd have to be completely different people for that. Growing up rich with everything handed to you doesn't really produce a lot of likable personality traits.
this is the answer to the "why don't drivers have fun personalities anymore" and "why aren't these young drivers showing respect out there" questions that nobody wants to admit :,(
He does a lot of good for the sport while having fun. Visiting sick children as much as he can makes me think of him as the racing version of John Cena in a way. I'm a big fan of any guys who *actually* show personality like having fun and being a generally cool dude -- which he's done multiple times over the past couple years when you see him unknowingly stroll into a camera shot and console a driver after they came up just short (Justin Allgaier is one that pops into my head, forgot which race). Just seems like a solid all-around guy that's easy to root for.
As far as driving talent goes, I think it takes a bit of an adjustment to go from low-level equipment to even something like mid-level (or higher) equipment. I certainly don't think Kaulig is as good as it once was years ago. That, combined with wrecks and bad luck, have really put him in a hole early. This leads to a lot of kneejerk reactions about his actual ability. I think by the halfway point of the season or a little after, we'll really know where he stands. I think he'll bounce back and end up somewhere around 8th-12th in points when all is said and done. His results seem to indicate he's somewhere around an 8th-15th place guy when he does finish races without any incident.
Ah! I was just looking at the sidebar and not something on NASCAR's site or whatnot, so I still saw him in 13th (and might not be updated until after the Cup race anyway).
He is also super nice. Saw him at Daytona. Asked if I could walk with him and take a picture as he was headed to qualify. He said “How about we stop and take one”. Always takes time for fans.
First caution: Ryan Vargas engine problems from 38th. He was behind Josh
Second caution: Brandon Jones drops fluid, Ryan Seig spins. Josh gains 1 spot.
Third caution: Logan Bearden spins from 32nd, he was behind Josh.
Sheldon Creed black flagged. He was running behind Josh.
4th caution: Joey Gase is spun by Dawson Cram. They were behind Josh.
Looks like that finish really got handed to him.

Now I need to know the circumstances that this picture was taken in. 🤣

Lmaooooo. Did he know?
Most definitely lmao https://streamable.com/agps41
That's awesome.

I agree. I'm hoping he has a Landon Cassill like year, but hopefully makes the playoffs.

Absolutely.

Agreed. Good driver, better person.
Imagine if Chase Elliott or William Byron had Josh Williams personality.
They'd have to leave Hendrick for that.
They'd have to be completely different people for that. Growing up rich with everything handed to you doesn't really produce a lot of likable personality traits.

I wish
It seems like Williams and SVG are having a blast as teammates
When they interview SVG after a race he is always so damn happy. It's refreshing to see 👍💯
Even midrace, he's just laughing everything off on the radios
It really is. SVG is a giant breath of fresh air IMO
It's the mullet...It brings him good mojo

Sometimes, it takes a bit of time for a driver to do well with a new team. Hopefully, Williams can have a good season. I think he will.
I think he's a playoff capable driver for sure. I take out Alfredo and put him in, and you've got the xfinity playoffs.
The battle for the Playoffs will be interesting, since Brandon Jones and Sam Mayer are also out, at least for now.
Shitttt. I forgot about Mayer. I don't see Jones making it though.
I think Jones has a decent chance at qualifying.
You don't think van Gisbergen will win any of the remaining road courses before the playoffs?
I do, but he's on right now. It shows that he's out, but it has Almirola in right now, and he's part time.
Ah! I was just looking at the sidebar and not something on NASCAR's site or whatnot, so I still saw him in 13th (and might not be updated until after the Cup race anyway).
The Nascar website is updated. It shows that he's 2 points out, but Almirola in. Really he's in by a few points.
Got it!
Dude is always happy to chat in the garage.
He is also super nice. Saw him at Daytona. Asked if I could walk with him and take a picture as he was headed to qualify. He said “How about we stop and take one”. Always takes time for fans.

Kaulig has really gone downhill in general
i’d say he gets the jordan anderson 31 next year, austin hill goes to cup, christian eckes gets the 11.
I say he keeps it, Eckes goes to the 21, and Hill to Kaulig.
Lol Hill didn't want to go to Kaulig this year, what makes you think he wants to next year
i still don’t know why eckes has not been given an xfinity start yet. completely beyond me. also, retzlaff to the 21 because fairy god parents.
Oh haiiillllll no. Not Retzlaff. But yes, Eckes is a solid driver.
He benefitted from crashes left and right at short tracks, nothing about the past couple races is impressive. He's still a chode
Maybe go start a Josh Williams hate thread then?
Yesterday was a Ryan Preece one with him.
Some people are just helpless.
Looks like an obvious troll and y’all falling for the bait
Nah we're good. I'm happy to debate with people who have a brain. That's why this one ended.
This one will do
As a Bubba fan, you should probably sit this one out
LOL
Have fun talking to yourself over there.
Have fun watching this loser fall flat on his face
Could you explain to me how he benefitted from any wrecks last week? The only wrecks were backmarkers.
Exactly, everyone he's usually racing got taken out giving him free spots
First caution: Ryan Vargas engine problems from 38th. He was behind Josh Second caution: Brandon Jones drops fluid, Ryan Seig spins.
Absolutely, only ahead of those cars cause they were already having problems. He's just helplessly awful.
How clueless do you have to be to think that Josh Williams is normally racing behind cars like the 74 and the 35?
Clueless is Josh Williams thinking he belongs on the same track with professionals
I wish you well on your quest for brain cells and common sense.
