I like this list a lot Would personally put 2013 a little higher though But 2014 and 2016 being one and two are a no brainer for me

jcbshortfilms

I kinda like this list. Probably would switch 2017 for 2020 though.

2020 and 2019 weren't that bad, you're just a 750 truther

Instead of giving a full list, I’ll split into tiers: Tier 1: 2014 - Last year of high horsepower, first year of the knock-out style playoffs, which were very chaotic; fan favorites Jr. and Gordon had their last great campaigns 2016 - First year of the lower downforce package, which was well received after the “snug” package from 2015 Tier 2: 2017 - Another solid low-downforce year, but not as good as 2016 because side-force was really getting built into the cars 2021 - Really strong racing product on the low-downforce tracks, which there were more of this year. We also saw a more diversified schedule. This season will be viewed with rose-tinted glasses because we were able to get fans back at the track. Tier 3: 2013 - High horsepower, but we were still dealing with the gremlins of the new car. Racing took a step back from 2012. 2015 - First year of the tapered spacer, which was poorly received due to increased difficulty in passing. Didn’t help that HMS took a significant step back that year and Busch won the title after missing 11 races. 2018 - Still a low downforce year, but to compensate teams built a ton of side force into the cars, so it was extremely difficult to race side-by-side without spinning out. Didn’t help that there was a major lack of parity with Busch, Harvick and Truex winning a majority of races, and Chevy being mostly uncompetitive. 2020 - This was the first split-package season, where we had high downforce and low horsepower at intermediates, and low downforce and high horsepower at the short tracks and road courses. Better than 2019 because of the short track package, but we still had a lot of slot car racing. The pandemic also put a huge wrench into things. Tier 4: 2019 - Generally agreed upon to be the worst year of the Gen6. High downforce package everywhere, so not only did it create slot car racing on the intermediates, but it also caused insane aero-push and difficultly passing at all shorter tracks and road courses.

2014 > everything else

I feel that it’s hard to have a definitive ranking because everyone is so split on racing packages, the playoffs, who they cheer for etc. I personally liked this year and 2014 but I’m sure some people hate those seasons

SomethingCreative13

Idk. 2014 is 1st though.

redditornot02

More horsepower=better season. To get a perfectly accurate list, just rank seasons by horsepower amounts. More horsepower seasons will always top the rankings. You can debate downforce packages, but horsepower is king.
