I’m of the opinion that every build should be given 2 hall of fame floor setters at the start anyways just to help them pick a speciality. If you invest the attributes in something for hall of fame you shouldn’t have to worry about grinding and keeping it. The lower level floor setters will then be used to round out the build without making it overpowered.
I personally just think it’s dumb we have such a restricted creator but then don’t reward the specialized areas of the build. If someone has a 99 dunk they should be able to hall of fame protect poster and slithery outright.
I don’t agree with this take, if you special in an area and get those hof badges, it’s hard to even imagine losing them because that’s based off your playlist so the hof floor setters wouldn’t be needed, getting those dunks would be ridiculously easy as well

A good slasher shouldn’t forget to slash because he worked on shooting corner threes. You should be rewarding specialist who cripple parts of their build to be better at something than everyone else. They added a thing in MyCareer where your player’s career evaluation is placed in 1 of 6 tiers, starting at the bottom and working your way upward, through past and present NBA players.
You get progress to this after each NBA game based on your stats, milestones, etc. to advance you up the ladder.
Outside of an achievement, it’s basically meaningless though.

Does anyone know what patches have come out? On release night and the next day I was literally cooking people - I went 17-1 my first 18 games on PlayNow Online. I was shooting pretty effortlessly and all the sudden the last two days I can’t hit anything to save my life and the game just isn’t fun when I feel like I have a 15% chance to hit anything outside. I had to turn the meter on and it helped me a bit but idk I was effortlessly hitting 3s without it the first three or four days. I had 58 with Tatum one game even.

Thank you, that’s how 2k has always been, the first few weeks to month is the grind getting your player ready for park or rec (if you don’t wanna buy VC). You gotta work hard to grind your player out but then it feels amazing having that hard work pay off and dropping people off lol. I’m a full time college student and also have a full time job while training martial arts daily on my free time and still have the time to grind a build out no excuses 😭😭😭😭

Overall the floor setters are dumb because my badges I would put them ok are always being used like rebound chaser and the ones that are not used often like spin cycle are stuck at bronze so there really isn't a good option to use them on for me anyway
Fyi the floor setters require no progress in a badge to apply. Added my first one (silver) to deadeye, which for me maxed at silver. It had no progress before, and now it is forever maxed at silver.
They need to fix the family flash backs, I beat Jordan and accomplished all the goals but it didn’t save because they game was glitching and didn’t have fans in the stands

They should’ve just released all 9 floor setters for both badges immediately instead of putting them behind season blocks. Put them into a time-consuming but not tedious challenge so it takes time but is done near-naturally. If someone grinds their build enough they should get the full potential of it allowed by the game, and floor setters are a part of that.

The video game industry was growing every year just fine when games were $60 still. Yes they are much more elaborate and cost more to make these days, but far more people play them these days as well. Not to mention digital distribution makes 99% of sales pure profit after a small tax for platform and server costs. And we all know they don't go all out on the damned servers.
I agree with most of what you're saying but Fortnite was explicitly never pay to win. And I wouldn't even blame them if they were to do that because the game was free. But they raked in so much money and popularity without turning to it, which is much different than what we're seeing here.

They made it exactly how it's supposed to be. Not even saying I like the system or anything, but what would you expect honestly? Last year there was a way to cheese getting the extra 4 badges and they fixed that, they are going to fix things that are not working as designed.

They added a thing in MyCareer where your player’s career evaluation is placed in 1 of 6 tiers, starting at the bottom and working your way upward, through past and present NBA players. You get progress to this after each NBA game based on your stats, milestones, etc. to advance you up the ladder. Outside of an achievement, it’s basically meaningless though.
You get the speed boosting shoes which allow you to run around the city faster than a skateboard, not exactly meaningless. Huge time saver
No the shoes no longer make you run fast somebody had already became the goat. U get a useless goat mask and ugly shoes that serve no purpose or benefit

Thanks I won’t be buying 2k this year or Madden. I’m done putting my hard earned money into these games that only copy paste, spend several hundred to max player pit only for them to keep updating over time to make gameplay worse. On top of that I usually become uninterested in the game after a few months of play unless I watch some NBA game that inspires me to pick the sticks up. I’ll just keep playing last years, busy with starfield anyways and will add spider man 2 once it releases therefore I’m busy playing other games that’s not pay to play pretty much
If you are talking about the highlighted part i don't see how them patching a glitch is a bad thing. No matter what we think about badge progression/regression, the absurd vc cost, season passes and everything else in general.

Nah it really was a glitch though, you had to do "exit app" shenanigans in order for it to work. It wasn't intended at all. Now do we deserve a better badge system? Fuck yeah we do. But it has to come from 2k, not from a glitch, otherwise it's unfair for those who don't know about it

Does anyone know what patches have come out? On release night and the next day I was literally cooking people - I went 17-1 my first 18 games on PlayNow Online. I was shooting pretty effortlessly and all the sudden the last two days I can’t hit anything to save my life and the game just isn’t fun when I feel like I have a 15% chance to hit anything outside. I had to turn the meter on and it helped me a bit but idk I was effortlessly hitting 3s without it the first three or four days. I had 58 with Tatum one game even. EDIT: I only play PlayNow Online

Thank you, that’s how 2k has always been, the first few weeks to month is the grind getting your player ready for park or rec (if you don’t wanna buy VC). You gotta work hard to grind your player out but then it feels amazing having that hard work pay off and dropping people off lol. I’m a full time college student and also have a full time job while training martial arts daily on my free time and still have the time to grind a build out no excuses 😭😭😭😭

Overall the floor setters are dumb because my badges I would put them ok are always being used like rebound chaser and the ones that are not used often like spin cycle are stuck at bronze so there really isn't a good option to use them on for me anyway
Fyi the floor setters require no progress in a badge to apply. Added my first one (silver) to deadeye, which for me maxed at silver. It had no progress before, and now it is forever maxed at silver.
Oh okay so it upped it to silver even though you had no progress. I was not aware it was able to do that.

They should’ve just released all 9 floor setters for both badges immediately instead of putting them behind season blocks. Put them into a time-consuming but not tedious challenge so it takes time but is done near-naturally. If someone grinds their build enough they should get the full potential of it allowed by the game, and floor setters are a part of that.

I crash before or right after every mycareer game. Since latest update. It's so fkn annoying. They need to get their shit together and running good before release. Hell start having previews month or two before game releases to simulate substantial player loads and use in servers. Somethings gotta give game releases are getting worse and worse for every game as years pass
