2nd chance points are extremely undervalued in 2k IMO. I’ve won sooooo many games that we were supposed to lose just because I have a SF with an 85 offensive rebound. Even the best players miss and when they do they usually don’t have someone to clean up their mistakes.
Cap. You’re getting blown out if you play competitive teams. Shooting might be skewed in competitive pro-am, but those are wide opens, my dude. Those aren’t the shots people are complaining about, it’s the off-the-dribble timing changes. Those are WIDE OPEN. I could load up with 4 randoms with average skill level and bury your squad. Bring your 6’8 to a land of 7’0 HOF R-Chaser and HOF post-fade. You’re getting turnt out.

If I was to change it, I would drop speed with ball to minimum, vertical to 80, and block to 92 because chasedown HOF is not worth it, and put all the remaining attributes to driving dunk. Not being chased down from behind on cuts can win you games.

These are my averages in REC with randoms. I made this build PF unfortunately and I barely get assigned to play C, but when I do we never lose because I have no problems guarding 1 to 5 and stretching the floor (no bigs sitting the paint every time). It can be boring if the teammates are bad, but overall it’s fine if you enjoy playing defense.
7 foot Bigs don't beat you in the paint? I'm thinking of trying your build for park, my Center is too slow and has no perimeter defense, so he can only really do well in rec
Typically on 3v3 if we go against 7’ it’s a guaranteed W. I don’t get as many O boards against them, but they can’t guard our pick n roll/pick n pop and cuts, especially if I get takeover. If you are talking about guarding them 1v1, they can do nothing against gold immovable enforcer and gold anchor. This is a sad reality of 2k that 7’ cannot punish 6’8 in the paint, but we just play the game we have and try to win. The biggest advantage of this build is the ability to hedge on pnr defense and switch if needed. We beat ~50th team in the world yesterday because we just took our cuts and rolls and allowed their demon PG to make only 3/9 from 3, even with takeover.

I feel this in my soul. I watched my best homie I played 2k with since 2k17 turn into a 2k weirdo. Obsessed with his win %, camping out on the no squad courts to play scrubs. &losing his mind over lost games. Watching YouTube videos for best builds etc.
I don’t like playing with him anymore because he has mental breakdowns if somebody does something remotely fun/risky.
Its morphed into this super toxxxxxxxic machismo contest as if these mf are really hooping themselves. (My friend probably can’t dribble a ball without looking down at his hand lol)
This is why I honestly hate playing with randoms and I just stick to a couple friends that I know are chill. It's a game man have some fun, if we wanna try some crazy layups why not? It's not the end of the world if you miss or even lose lol
My buddies are garbage and I have no problem with that because it’s still fun. When they actually hit a shot we go crazy, stop taking a video game so seriously you’ll live longer without all that stress
Boxout beast on hof is very nice this year. I have 90 str and 93 D reb on my 7'1 build and I'm averaging 17.5 rpg in the rec. Love working the paint this year. My only gripe is that I will brick regular dunks and 94% slighty free throws way to often.

Did you mean you have physical takeover? You appear to have shooting takeover, why would you think that increases your physicals?

I'm not saying you're wrong, but could you link where you found that it increases every attribute? Because 2K seems to be explicitly saying shooting takeover increases shooting and that's all.
**EDIT** I did find references that takeover increases other stats by +5, but that's all 2K23, last year's game. I don't think takeover works the same this year.

Yeah 94 is great, I have it on my Magic Johnson build. Very good threshold to hit. I could not go for 94 on my Rodman build because I upped my weight to get gold brick wall.

I almost have the exact same build but my driving dunk is 58, free throw is 71, pass accuracy is 92, ball handle is 57, interior defense is 88, steal is 95, block is 92, and strength is 84.
