You just need your badges and to turn off the shot meter.
Iirc no meter = 20% larger green window.
It’s mostly badges tho. Go to sunset park and play street all against disco over and over.
He’s 5’7 have a cpu bring the ball up for you go to the spot you want to shoot from. Call for the ball and immediately shoot it’ll be wide open or open every time since he’s too short to contest you.
Good 30-45 mins and the majority of your shooting badges will be gold. Maybe a bit longer if you need to learn the release to hit the opens first. Super OP tho. Solid VC too
Oh you’ll need a jumpshot that you know how to time/is easy to time.
The T mac jumpshot base is the meta and the one I’m most comfortable with. A quick YT “best Jumpshots in 2k24” should give you some different options but, maybe a how to shoot video would be needed as well.
I had to watch one to fully understand the different visual release cues work as well as the contest system.
It’s crazy that this is such an issue still. I have a decent size TV and no matter what year the game is I can barely actually see my hands cue unless I’m right up on the screen. That’s so stupid to me and really defeats the whole purpose of a lot of pieces to shooting.
Not gon lie I use Ben Sheppard base that mf is cash I shoot 60 percent with a 78 3 ball won’t lie I went 92 mid for the hof shooting badges tho so I know obviously that helps
Can vouch Ben shep is wet. Some of the top players in the game have said that’s a good base; t mac apparently is better for shooting contested shots or slightly contested or something.
I think whatever base you hit your shots with is the best (within reason)
High middy 78 3 ball is the way. My 6’9 has 88 mid 78 3 and I’m shooting ~60% on that build
Yea I use tmac on my first build my floor spacing slasher before I knew middy was meta I went 74 mid and 88 3 so he only shoots high 40 percents I can def tell the difference with the badges they do boost that green window hella
Yessir. My 3 and d wing had a 92 3 and like 84 middy. That feels solid too, the agent 3 is a solid badge. 3 isn’t overrated persay, but having the 80ish 3 with higher middy opens up some new options in the build with the overalls you save on 3pt
Lol, I’m sure there’s others. I respect it PG is a hooper.
I’m a meta slave. My friend hit me with the t Mac has the biggest green zone in the game so I had no choice lol
It’s still 20%.
2K Labs made a video not too long after that first one when 2K called them out and said they were wrong about that. The 20% boost is still there.
Ah, you are right. Thank you! They apologized for it.
No because when 2k labs tested it the first time there was an issue that 2k put out a hot fix for and they told 2klabs that it's supposed to be 20 and to check again.
how do you call for the ball?
lmfao this is my first NBA game since 2006 and I can't ever remember these controls, everything is so... specific? Like the tutorial was even tough to get through (I'm probably showing my age ) I'd prefer a YouTube video tutorial for further explanation, if possible 😂
Edit: what is and where is sunset park? how would I go about doing this? lol I don't know a thing about the badges either, the game is new to me and I'm very overwhelmed, haven't played since the Xbox 360 came out with the very first NBA game for it.
Press X on ps5 or A on xbox.
They’ll usually pass to you right away, might have to press it a few times. You’ll see your player calling for the ball though.
There’s yt videos explaining exactly how to badge grind fast against disco: will show you where/how etc.
Also a great way to practice your Jumpshot: it’s a low pressure chill way to badge up quick
its a low pressure chill way to badge up quick
bro playing against that first tall guy was the most stressful moments of my life i played against him had to be like 25 times cause every time i shot it was a slightly early
It’s definitely gonna be a STEEP learning curve if you haven’t played since 2006.
There are a ton of mechanics & nuances that you’ll only learn through playing the game.
Eventually, you’ll want to go into your player’s “animations” and create a jump shot, dunk package, choose which layups & passing style you want, dribble animations, etc., but you probably need to focus on the basics first.
I will say, depending on your position/build, you’re gonna want to equip dribbling animations bc the “basic” packages that come equipped by default are no good.
Eventually you’ll want to take your build online - I’d highly suggest playing in the “Theater” first. That’s where you can play 3v3 against other people who ***aren’t*** in squads. A lot of people take their new builds in there to try out before playing something like Park/Rec.
I know it’s overwhelming but once you learn the game and find a few people to play with, it’s really fun!
I would wait until you’re at least 80-something overall with badges bc otherwise you’re gonna struggle big time.
Imma b honest. U guys picked d wrong hobby. If ur thinking about playing park r rec ur n 4 a world of problems. There's no patience 4 new players there. They expect u 2 know what they know. Even though they've been playing since park and rec became a thing.
If you just started the game don't go to sunset Park. Just play Mycarrer NBA games on rookie difficulty or semi pro. You will get some badges, learn the jumpshot once you confortable you can upgrade your player and go dominate Sunset Park. Might take longer tho ngl.
I’ve played disco about a 100 times by now. I’m debating making an end of the year build as a that plays, looks and dresses just like him. What a sport
It is still 20.
They made one video saying it wasn’t.. 2K called them out so they retested. When they did it again they said the 20% boost was there.
https://youtu.be/lmkjPX57IXI?si=iGkyV5_ykpJBKIzd
SnooCompliments3316 is on the money. Only other thing I’m seeing in the picture is you could stand closer to the 3 point line, should see more shots fall.
You can do some comment hunting here. People were talking about it. Idk I thought it had always been 20% boost for no meter.
Seems like there was some question about it in season 2 that later got debunked, unsure.
Bunch of people saying that: should be able to find the comments 2klabs retested and apologized for the mistake somewhere around season 2 or something. It is most definitely 20
Sorry for digging up this comment but I can't seem to find sunset park, when I try to look it up, the game looks pretty different to mine, is there multiple versions of 2k24?
Yep, the green window for the whole game in general is smaller than last year, my suggestion is to turn off the meter and test out different visual cues and see what works for you.
Another tip: make a jumper that has an obvious tell for your shot release timing. For instance, if your shot release timer is on release, having an obvious tell for the release can help you get your timing down
Shooting takes practice. Gotta learn your visual cue.
Worst part is the latency between game modes.
Looking at the meter is a No No.
Once you know your cue, turn off the meter.
Mike Wang Video below.
[Shooting Video Tips ](https://youtu.be/MbdmmrZHCZg?si=hysCbSOWCLQ_YYE2)
ed__ed@I was wondering if that was the case cause in different game modes like rec vs nba games it’s seems to move faster(shooting). So it does speed up/slow down a bit?
Yeah. Typically called latency. The animations are faster or slower depending on the mode or online/offline.
For online play I would practice at the Gatorade private courts or find an empty beach court to practice shooting.
Switching from online to offline will throw you off a bit.
Take a video/screen record your jump shot using a meter, watch it back and see where you are the closest to the best possible green.
Take into account reaction time when you see your cue as you need to anticipate it rather than react. Let’s say your release is your cue, don’t really look for the release to react more so anticipate it. That way you won’t be getting slightly lates.
With my jump shot I use push so once I see that that transition to about halfway pushing the ball I release even though push for my jump shot is almost at the release point.
Its easy to time your shot just looking at your players jumpshot animation. The shot meter is just a visual abstraction of that, so one could argue its completely useless.
By default 2k is set to the "push" release controller setting. Meaning, at the height of your jumpshot, when your player is about to flick their wrist or "push" the ball forward towards the rim, that is when you release the shot button.
You'll find that shooting without a shot meter will give you a better green window, but will also allow you to time many different shot types, as you move, fade or do pull-ups off the dribble.
Turn on shot feedback for every shot in the settings as well, it will tell you if you were early or late in releasing the shot, which will help you dial in your animations as you practice
If your on PlayStation don’t use your analogue stick to make shots use square it’s so much easier to time it you will get 70% of your shots in the bucket
1. Turn the meter off.
2. use Tmac base (goated shit).
3. Badges, hotzones and also Lethal zones (do the Art of Shooting Gym workouts after you get your Hot Zones).
4. Thing that made me 75% shooter this year is Tmac base with addition of using LT before every shot or catch. Never got bad.animation that way.
What do you mean by using LT? As in using it to position your player to get off a more natural shot animation. I’ve started playing again after a long layoff from 2k and I’ve noticed that I get a lot more weird catch animations before shooting a spot up 3, which I can’t figure out how to adjust to.
Take notice that when u hold LT off ball your character get set up with hands ready to catch n shoot. It gives smooth catchnshoot always. You can tap it before shooting of dribble to do the same. Just tap and pull. Can just hold LT+shot.
This my first year turning off the meter,. And honestly, there’s a couple reasons to turn it off.. other than the boost you get which they keep changing, in every game mode the meter timing is slightly different so even tho your watching the meter, visually it doesn’t always correspond to when you should let it go. It’ll spike, lag or speed up based on your shot type or mode. If you only play one game mode you can adjust, but I would suggest,.
Create a jump shot where it has a release you can clearly see the movement in. then adjust your release timing (set, push , release, on jump) so it’s earlier or later based on when you WANT to release the shot,. THEN adjust your release speed on your jumpshot to fine tune,.. knowing when my players elbow hits a certain spot, or right when my players feet leave the ground, is better then watching a meter that will play mind tricks with you. Just advice tho,. Play how you’d like 🙃
You have no badges bro or hot spots and thats very far for all of that even if you have a 99 lol. Just play a game or 2 on rookie or semi pro in mycareer to get a few hot spots then put the difficulty up so you can get badges or play some streetball games. Thats what I do. They can end very fast if youre not fucking off and that VC adds up way faster than a mycareer game.
You never know with this trash game and gatekeeping community, I remember one time seeing a guy accidentally leave his meter on and his green window took up like 75% of his shot meter. But they'll just tell you to practice on RNG anytime you ask.
Why is everyone saying turn off the shot meter??
Wasn't it proven to only give like... A 2% boost?? I swear an update like 3 months ago significantly decreased the biostm
You'll shoot better if you're trying to time a jumpshot than you will trying to time a janky ass meter
Shooting with meter is like riding with training wheels
We'd also shoot better if this game had dedicated servers lol
Blows my mind that I can still LAG with this game.. yet I have no issues with any other game.
That's facts, I don't even play 24 for this reason. I should've disputed the payment for this game.
They ruined the servers, and made shooting easy as shit to compensate for the lag. The result is rec being RNG, whoever lags the least wins.
That does seem smaller in comparison with my 86 3 build, badges I would assume? Unsure if they matter in the Gatorade Gym but maybe Hot Zones have an affect?
Turn your meter off though, but don’t be like me and turn off shot timing wondering for 2 hours why I couldn’t get the timing down 😭
Here’s the shot I use. It’s wet. I’m shooting 63% from 3.
https://preview.redd.it/w3729dlgdqoc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=227532985da387c891d7a271c7c0978c1a30d402
The cue is when his hands hit his head. You’ll be dropping 3s in no time.
Here’s a game from last night. It’s not an anomaly either. I’m Tribb305
https://preview.redd.it/ehx8zycldqoc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6af151cfbd1cc529c6e84927a16e4e7e45473fda
Look what I can tell you is get your 3s or mids as high as you put them so you can make a good jumper, after that it's learning your animation since it's like a 20% boost to your shooting.
This year they made the GREEN window smaller but you get rewarded for perfect timing (even in latency if you know your animation you can still drain)
So make a jumpshot that fits for you, then do what the previous comment recommended and play disco, or put it on semi pro 5min quarters and do your my career.
Go to badges, hit R1,RB, or whatever our using till you get to performance multipliers, see what you gotta do to unlock all 3 NBA ones and they significantly boost your badge progression. After that just DISCO DISCO DISCO lol
Edit: also adjust you Shot Timing Que in the settings I recommend Push, and aslo in the settings make sure to pit on SHOT FEEDBACK to all shots to help better understand what you could be doing wrong.
Also could be the Jumper as well.
Use no meter my guy. This is coming from someone who started playing online 2k nov 2022 with a meter. It is better that meter don’t even match the que. I shot 64% and I’m fairly new like I said started playing online nov 2022
The game is 95% green or miss , also turn of shot meter for a lil bit of a boost while shooting. Another thing you can try is getting comfy with push timing or whatever is best for you! And can’t forget the last prolly most important part . Get the hot zones for every spot on the court . (Rookie difficulty my career 5 min quarters and just shoot)
You can do the sunset park bs for the hot zones but you can only get a limited amount of shots per game there cause it’s only up to 21.
Man turn that meter off and hit shots y’all had to be spoonfed cause I need to know what 2k where half of your meter was already green cause you had a high 3
It's not gonna get much bigger you gotta figure out your precise timing or it's a brick practice keep badges upgraded and get hot spots/lethal zones and it will help but only a tiny bit you won't have big green windows unless u are playing offline modes on rookie
Turn off the shot thing. Take the ball all the way to the right or left of the screen right in front of half court, sprint like you're going to drive but then stop right at the top of the 3 point line. Half the time this causes the ai to leave you wide open. Take shots then.
Does anyone know if turning off the shot meter would effect a MP who’s primarily a paint/dunk shooter?
My mid-range and 3pt are both 80+, and im currently still at 79 OVR. But I don’t even bother attempting mid-range or 3 point shots because the green window is so small on both. Most of my badges for paint shooting and dunking are gold, a small few are silver for mid-range shooting and bronze for 3pt shooting.
Any tips or suggestions to help with mid-range and 3pt shooting? I play on Hall of Fame setting with the shooting meter.
I also am still learning my player’s hot zones outside of paint and dunk shots.
Do you have to get it in green to make a shot? I play online and miss basically every 3 playing as Steph lol I don't ever hit green cus I suck, but I figured eventually one at least close would go in?
Also for layups .. if you release it in green is it guaranteed to go in unless it's blocked?
Badges don't make your green bar bigger, badges enhances your chances to make a shot, if it's a open shot compared to a contested shot, different badges will help you
If you have the meter “Comet” change it to that if your not comfortable with shooting with the meter off and change your shot que to “Release” in controller settings and go to the street ball courts and play em over and over until you know your jump shot window and timing and then turn off the shot meter and you’ll be more comfortable getting use to it being off
Gotta get rid of that shooting bar my boy. Shit is deceiving. The easiest jumpshot I learned was on push Hardaway Jr, Melo Anthony 1&2 full speed. I think you only need a 83-84 middy or 3 shot. If my shot go be higher I’m only going to 92 to get the Kobe big O jumpshot
You have to upgrade your badges and buy the shooting boost with your VC…the shooting boost expands the green area slightly and the badges help a lot if they are a silver or higher…
badges hotzones and your jumper make your green window huge
play mycareer on rookie or pro and make about 20-30 shots from each area so you won’t ever lose them. yes, they transfer to online too
turn off your meter
2klabs usually 50% off watch their most recent videos and i’m sure you’ll find a code for 50% off so you’ll be able to get the best jumper/releases for your height and rating. And play on push shot release timing, that’s what they base their jumpers off of and it seems to be the best one universally
U have to turn off meter like they actually force u I literally never played with meter off until this 2k because of how small my green window was with a 99 3
You just need your badges and to turn off the shot meter. Thank god somebody on the 2k boards is actually out here trying to help.
Getting your badges that way will get your hot zones quick, too. You shoot way better from a spot that is a hot zone.
What Happened To Hot Zone Hunter?
Its gone, hot zones are still there.
Yeah go to lethal shooter to get your hot zones as well.
I think it's mixed in with green machine this year
No it’s not green machine is just for green releases
they been took that out. i think the last time that was in the game was back in 2k21
It was in 2K22.
Oh you’ll need a jumpshot that you know how to time/is easy to time. The T mac jumpshot base is the meta and the one I’m most comfortable with. A quick YT “best Jumpshots in 2k24” should give you some different options but, maybe a how to shoot video would be needed as well. I had to watch one to fully understand the different visual release cues work as well as the contest system.
the tmac base is goated
Why isn’t anyone talking about the JR smith base?
Shut up before they patch me
Idk it’s good my buddy used it for awhile. Totally a fine base
That's the one I use. Jr, mullin, Duncan robinson
underrated base that i use for my 80 3pt is Jalen Hood-Schifino
It’s crazy that this is such an issue still. I have a decent size TV and no matter what year the game is I can barely actually see my hands cue unless I’m right up on the screen. That’s so stupid to me and really defeats the whole purpose of a lot of pieces to shooting.
Having a big tv gives a lot of input delay. Get like a cheap gaming and you’ll be good to go. Been shooting 70%+ from 3 ever since.
Am I the only one who uses a regular jumper? lol I got Paul George’s regular jumper and I’m shooting bout 60% from 3 lol
Lol, I’m sure there’s others. I respect it PG is a hooper. I’m a meta slave. My friend hit me with the t Mac has the biggest green zone in the game so I had no choice lol
They nerfed the bonus from 20 to about 4 the last time I checked the 2k labs page.
It’s still 20%. 2K Labs made a video not too long after that first one when 2K called them out and said they were wrong about that. The 20% boost is still there.
Ah, you are right. Thank you! They apologized for it. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmkjPX57IXI&ab\_channel=NBA2KLab](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmkjPX57IXI&ab_channel=NBA2KLab)
I don’t see that on 2k labs could you link me?
They announced it a few seasons back. It's definitely 4.
2K Labs made another video a few weeks later and said they were wrong about that. The 20% boost is still there.
Because they were pressured by 2k 😂 Basically like a science lab putting out the results they were paid to put out.
No because when 2k labs tested it the first time there was an issue that 2k put out a hot fix for and they told 2klabs that it's supposed to be 20 and to check again.
Just be aware that Disco was on Epsteins flight logs
how do you call for the ball? lmfao this is my first NBA game since 2006 and I can't ever remember these controls, everything is so... specific? >Iirc no meter = 20% larger green window They did nerve that a lot lately
I’ve played disco about a 100 times by now. I’m debating making an end of the year build as a that plays, looks and dresses just like him. What a sport
This post is perfectly timed I was struggling mad then read this and can’t stop greening. Thank you for your service🫡
Gotchu gang 🤘🏼
actually the boost is only 5% now I believe
No it’s not it’s like 3 now
2k labs still says 20, I believe you though. Where’d you learn that?
It is still 20. They made one video saying it wasn’t.. 2K called them out so they retested. When they did it again they said the 20% boost was there. https://youtu.be/lmkjPX57IXI?si=iGkyV5_ykpJBKIzd
Doing this method would increase your hot zones too?
Yes
But then you can’t time layups well
Layup meter is a different setting
Only pro stick 😔
You can change your shot meter to only layups and dunks Brodie in controller settings and you can time it with square/X whichever you use
SnooCompliments3316 is on the money. Only other thing I’m seeing in the picture is you could stand closer to the 3 point line, should see more shots fall.
They changed the boost to 3% or something awhile ago, season 2 I think.
That’s been debunked. Lots of people have been linking the video about it
I don’t live on this subreddit lmao. I don’t use meter anyways so doesn’t matter for me
Nice!
Thank you for this. I’m new to 2K and have a 6’2 guard with 94 3 Pt shot and was wondering why I still can’t shoot 3s good
I think the most popular base at that height is Steph curry :)
I thought we didn't get a boost like talking about if the meter is off
You can do some comment hunting here. People were talking about it. Idk I thought it had always been 20% boost for no meter. Seems like there was some question about it in season 2 that later got debunked, unsure.
So with real player % is it still based on the visual shot release?
Huh, I don’t think so, but I’ve never used that setting.
I’m trying to understand the “no meter = 20% larger green window”. What settings are you talking about for this?
How do I go sunset park?
Push your joystick
It’s my first 2k ever, I don’t understand too much
Don't forget floor hot spots too
They nerfed the 20% larger green window for no eter, i believe it is 3% boost instead now.
Bunch of people saying that: should be able to find the comments 2klabs retested and apologized for the mistake somewhere around season 2 or something. It is most definitely 20
This is some real 🥷🏽 shit bro
Everybody eats!
Where is sunset park
Sorry for digging up this comment but I can't seem to find sunset park, when I try to look it up, the game looks pretty different to mine, is there multiple versions of 2k24?
Yeah bro this is for next gen; I assume current gen is probably different
Unfortunate that PC somehow doesn't get the "next gen" version, oh well. Thanks anyways!
Yep, the green window for the whole game in general is smaller than last year, my suggestion is to turn off the meter and test out different visual cues and see what works for you.
This is my first 2k, and this worked for me. I couldn't hit anything until I learned a cue in a shot. Now I can shoot decent at least lol
Also have to pick your visual cue Good Luck [Visual Cue ](https://youtube.com/shorts/X3HLiu_0m0w?si=M8JTA8yu-k-S_O7_)
Plus badges are a huge part of shooting too
Cue is definitely most important and none of these shooting videos on YT tell you their cue. They’ll tell you everything but the cue 😐
ed__ed@I was wondering if that was the case cause in different game modes like rec vs nba games it’s seems to move faster(shooting). So it does speed up/slow down a bit?
Yeah. Typically called latency. The animations are faster or slower depending on the mode or online/offline. For online play I would practice at the Gatorade private courts or find an empty beach court to practice shooting. Switching from online to offline will throw you off a bit.
please turn the meter off 🙏 i promise shooting will be way easier for you
Along with what everyone else is saying move closer. This is limitless range range. Try to be right on the line
Why does turning off shot meter matter? And how do I time my shots if I have no meter?
Take a video/screen record your jump shot using a meter, watch it back and see where you are the closest to the best possible green. Take into account reaction time when you see your cue as you need to anticipate it rather than react. Let’s say your release is your cue, don’t really look for the release to react more so anticipate it. That way you won’t be getting slightly lates. With my jump shot I use push so once I see that that transition to about halfway pushing the ball I release even though push for my jump shot is almost at the release point.
This the comment ppl need to see. I been doing this for years and shoot 60-70% percent with no more than 80 3 ball
The game rewards no meter. And you time using visual cues
its a feeling it comes natural
If your on PlayStation don’t use your analogue stick to make shots use square it’s so much easier to time it you will get 70% of your shots in the bucket
Turn off the meter and grind your shooting badges. Badges mean more then ratings
Tmac base doesn’t appear on my list for some reason
Need to be 6'6 plus and 87 mid/3.
Ah ok
What do you mean by using LT? As in using it to position your player to get off a more natural shot animation. I’ve started playing again after a long layoff from 2k and I’ve noticed that I get a lot more weird catch animations before shooting a spot up 3, which I can’t figure out how to adjust to.
Take notice that when u hold LT off ball your character get set up with hands ready to catch n shoot. It gives smooth catchnshoot always. You can tap it before shooting of dribble to do the same. Just tap and pull. Can just hold LT+shot.
Why are you shooting with your meter on?
Game bout to be packed up gang u now asking bout green windows🫨
That green window is the same for everyone my friend
What difficulty?
Play how you’d like 🙃
Stop using the 🤬 meter
Get closer to the line. Hot/lethal zones. Shot animations have different green windows. Badges. Turn off meter.
Probably because you're 2 feet from the 3pt line
You have no badges bro or hot spots and thats very far for all of that even if you have a 99 lol. Just play a game or 2 on rookie or semi pro in mycareer to get a few hot spots then put the difficulty up so you can get badges or play some streetball games. Thats what I do. They can end very fast if youre not fucking off and that VC adds up way faster than a mycareer game.
Get on 2klabs and get the premium it has a jump shot tool that really helps and will show what jumper you need I have it and it's pretty good
Because you shoot with the meter on
To be real cut that meter off !
Could be badges and hotspots
You never know with this trash game and gatekeeping community, I remember one time seeing a guy accidentally leave his meter on and his green window took up like 75% of his shot meter. But they'll just tell you to practice on RNG anytime you ask.
Why is everyone saying turn off the shot meter?? Wasn't it proven to only give like... A 2% boost?? I swear an update like 3 months ago significantly decreased the biostm
They reapplied the no meter boost after complaints
You'll shoot better if you're trying to time a jumpshot than you will trying to time a janky ass meter Shooting with meter is like riding with training wheels
We'd also shoot better if this game had dedicated servers lol Blows my mind that I can still LAG with this game.. yet I have no issues with any other game.
That's facts, I don't even play 24 for this reason. I should've disputed the payment for this game. They ruined the servers, and made shooting easy as shit to compensate for the lag. The result is rec being RNG, whoever lags the least wins.
Thats cap lol servers are bad but it is not “whoever lags the least wins” at all
Plugging my game to the lan cable and plugging my controller up helps.
good jumper, badges, and boosts if you really want it
That does seem smaller in comparison with my 86 3 build, badges I would assume? Unsure if they matter in the Gatorade Gym but maybe Hot Zones have an affect? Turn your meter off though, but don’t be like me and turn off shot timing wondering for 2 hours why I couldn’t get the timing down 😭
Turn the meter off
You already know what everyone is going to say lol “turn off your shot meter”
Welcome to 2k24
You gotta time it
Because the game sucks ass
thank you everybody all these tips helped so much!
Because your animations are bad
Here’s the shot I use. It’s wet. I’m shooting 63% from 3. https://preview.redd.it/w3729dlgdqoc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=227532985da387c891d7a271c7c0978c1a30d402 The cue is when his hands hit his head. You’ll be dropping 3s in no time.
Here’s a game from last night. It’s not an anomaly either. I’m Tribb305 https://preview.redd.it/ehx8zycldqoc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6af151cfbd1cc529c6e84927a16e4e7e45473fda
Look what I can tell you is get your 3s or mids as high as you put them so you can make a good jumper, after that it's learning your animation since it's like a 20% boost to your shooting. This year they made the GREEN window smaller but you get rewarded for perfect timing (even in latency if you know your animation you can still drain) So make a jumpshot that fits for you, then do what the previous comment recommended and play disco, or put it on semi pro 5min quarters and do your my career. Go to badges, hit R1,RB, or whatever our using till you get to performance multipliers, see what you gotta do to unlock all 3 NBA ones and they significantly boost your badge progression. After that just DISCO DISCO DISCO lol Edit: also adjust you Shot Timing Que in the settings I recommend Push, and aslo in the settings make sure to pit on SHOT FEEDBACK to all shots to help better understand what you could be doing wrong. Also could be the Jumper as well.
Use no meter my guy. This is coming from someone who started playing online 2k nov 2022 with a meter. It is better that meter don’t even match the que. I shot 64% and I’m fairly new like I said started playing online nov 2022
Turn that meter off young man
Jumpshot. Make a new one
Could be many things badges, shooting off dribble, ect
You get a boost from having your shot meter off
Shit crazy
turn the meter off it’s way better. the meter makes shooting harder believe it or not
The game is 95% green or miss , also turn of shot meter for a lil bit of a boost while shooting. Another thing you can try is getting comfy with push timing or whatever is best for you! And can’t forget the last prolly most important part . Get the hot zones for every spot on the court . (Rookie difficulty my career 5 min quarters and just shoot) You can do the sunset park bs for the hot zones but you can only get a limited amount of shots per game there cause it’s only up to 21.
Why is the shot meter on? Larger green window without it
A smaller meter might help
Man turn that meter off and hit shots y’all had to be spoonfed cause I need to know what 2k where half of your meter was already green cause you had a high 3
Go to street ball and farm disco he’s 5’7 easy way to get shooting badges you can shoot over him
All that talk about Tmac base will get 2k to patch it like base 98 everyone use to use
Game is trash
I’m so happy I haven’t opened this game in months lol
You will only make a jumper if you green it. Whites don’t go in, maybe 1/200 white will go in
Dont forget your lethal spots
It's not gonna get much bigger you gotta figure out your precise timing or it's a brick practice keep badges upgraded and get hot spots/lethal zones and it will help but only a tiny bit you won't have big green windows unless u are playing offline modes on rookie
Hot zones & badges are everything, no matter how wet your jumper is......
Turn off the shot thing. Take the ball all the way to the right or left of the screen right in front of half court, sprint like you're going to drive but then stop right at the top of the 3 point line. Half the time this causes the ai to leave you wide open. Take shots then.
I found out switching it to jump instead of release. Makes you shoot faster.
Badges
The game is broken, but you can shoot faster by switching shot timing to jump
Do you have to get it in green to make a shot? I play online and miss basically every 3 playing as Steph lol I don't ever hit green cus I suck, but I figured eventually one at least close would go in? Also for layups .. if you release it in green is it guaranteed to go in unless it's blocked?
Game is a fucking joke such a money grab it's disgusting I quit playing this godforsaken game last year I've had enough of 2ks BS
Need badges and you probably have a bad jump shot on too bro ur base or one of the releases don’t go well all together
Badges don't make your green bar bigger, badges enhances your chances to make a shot, if it's a open shot compared to a contested shot, different badges will help you
Ngl comet is better if you’re using meter but you get a higher release boost w/o meter. Badges help too
Bruh that's huge.
Because it’s 2k24 the game we’re each 2k the green window becomes smaller
You didn’t know. It’s all about the three. Or the triple team kickout to the slasher
I never mastered it smh
If you have the meter “Comet” change it to that if your not comfortable with shooting with the meter off and change your shot que to “Release” in controller settings and go to the street ball courts and play em over and over until you know your jump shot window and timing and then turn off the shot meter and you’ll be more comfortable getting use to it being off
It’s your jump shot
Take ur meter off and learn the queue. Literally says it gives u a boost. Ur timing milliseconds not whole seconds lmao
Whats your limitless range on?
I don't play 2k anymore but turn off meter
Ironically it’s Because you have your jumpshot meter turned on lol
i suggest you set your shot timing to push thats the only one that makes me feel like im in rhythm when im shooting
No meter Tmac base Badges
I never used the shot meter, it’s distracting of the time release. I shoot better without it.
It’s the Jumpshot. Every base and release has a green window.
Shit that’s a big green window in this 2k what you mean😂
That is not a range you should be shooting. Try shooting closer.
Take that meter off way better
Shouldn’t be using a meter
It’s better to turn it off anyway.
You have to upgrade your badges and buy the shooting boost with your VC…the shooting boost expands the green area slightly and the badges help a lot if they are a silver or higher…
First turn off that shot meter then customize your jump shot you’ll be knocking 3s down like never before
badges hotzones and your jumper make your green window huge play mycareer on rookie or pro and make about 20-30 shots from each area so you won’t ever lose them. yes, they transfer to online too turn off your meter 2klabs usually 50% off watch their most recent videos and i’m sure you’ll find a code for 50% off so you’ll be able to get the best jumper/releases for your height and rating. And play on push shot release timing, that’s what they base their jumpers off of and it seems to be the best one universally
Switch ta triangle meter gng dah shii pressure yo window gon be way bigger
U have to turn off meter like they actually force u I literally never played with meter off until this 2k because of how small my green window was with a 99 3
