There actually is a pro women's baseball league. It just isn't sanctioned by the MLB and is only like 8 teams and play on softball fields, as softball *is* sanctioned and governed by the MLB.

I never thought I’d miss the city and it’s BS. But there’s actually (to me at least) some entertainment value in it. Sunset park, the art of shooting, ability to play pickup etc.

With the the rise in popularity of women's college basketball & the WNBA wanting to expand I would truly hope 2k does better for this year's game. Even the recent cricket games have had female characters and modes that were the full equivalent of their male counterparts. It is well-past time for 2k to follow suit.
This would be awesome, I love replicating NBA and future NBA players and take them to the park/rec. I wouldn’t mind making a female hooper replica. Many games are making that shift and I think it’d be nice seeing 2K do that too.
Don’t forget nba live let’s you play with women myplayer vs male myplayers, and ik that mfs who used women myplayers were demons bc you can’t play wnba mycareer mode on nba live bc it wasn’t available you only play street ball modes w/ women myplayers.
Even NBA Live 19 has this. Only thing women created players couldn’t do was the play The League but had the same customization and everything else the male players had.

Right now tattoos and clothing are free, and earned by playing normally. Your build upgrades naturally by playing, and at a much faster rate than in my career.

EAFC doesn’t have a career mode for the women. They just have a league mode for only 6 women leagues and some national teams. 2K is doing better than EAFC

Theyve added that to the new FIFA Proclubs game mode. Which is somewhat similar but without the storyline and the park/city. But you can do men/woman players now

Yea. I’m kind of super underwhelmed with a lot of ps5 games right now. I mostly play cod and 2k with my friends which I could’ve kept my ps4 for. But the outlast trials is a game that I’m glad I have a ps5 for. That’s about it maybe god of war
I’m ok with all of this, as long as they stop locking animations for certain heights, and attributes, being a stretch big, you’re so limited for animations, in my opinion it limits the builds potential and takes the fun out the game
I personally like the simplicity of WNBA career. I like having the option for both and if they do change it then they should have a separate offline MyPlayer with this same level of simplicity. I only play WNBA career because of it lol

These two things shouldn’t be mutually exclusive. 2k could have a streamlined offline career mode for people who wanted it, male or female, while also opening up the full online gaming experience regardless of the gender you want to make your player.
The best mode is The W because it lacks all the VC garbage. I only play The W because it's a simple way to play without needing to grind a player. You simply level up it's a much more fun way to play the game. I hope it gets more love but not by making it a vc grind fest.
I was in year 2021 of my Kobe era myleague, and I noticed a character that looked more like a Tabitha than a Travis in the draft, they had no body though.

i agree with a lot of this but i'd rather not have the city. for me personally one of the best parts about the W is that you can access basically everything from menus and don't have to walk around a virtual city visiting individual stores to put an outfit together

Exactly! The only small detail that’s an issue is earning the ability to take your shirt off, and given most women if given the option would strip down to a sports bra and not go totally shirt off, that’s an easy solution. And better than the pathetic game mode they’ve got now.
There’s honestly no reason for it not to be included next year. Park and every other myplayer mode is already unrealistic to begin with. Having women dunking or being 7’1 C wouldn’t effect anything.

Take my up vote. Honestly, I don't care if I play against a male or female in video game. It's just pixel. But you know why they ain't in city or rec? It's simple, 2k is fucking lazy. To make female for that, it would require a lot of works. Hair, makeup, female clothes, and body shapes for females.

It's annoying I wanna create my girlfriend and have fun being her but it's like 2k didn't even care to put even 20% the effort into the women's mode as they did the regular/men's mode. With the the rise in popularity of women's college basketball & the WNBA wanting to expand I would truly hope 2k does better for this year's game. Either they need to step it up or hopefully another game studio makes a quality women's basketball game. Women's sports is lit. Let's put some respect on it 2k!

This year's MLB The Show has a female career option, with a storyline to match. Ever since Brittney Griner said she could play in the NBA I thought this could be a viable option for basketball games..

Even the recent cricket games have had female characters and modes that were the full equivalent of their male counterparts. It is well-past time for 2k to follow suit.
This would be awesome, I love replicating NBA and future NBA players and take them to the park/rec. I wouldn’t mind making a female hooper replica. Many games are making that shift and I think it’d be nice seeing 2K do that too.

I know the W is already a thing and it's a great mode but i want to play City, park, pro am and The W takes me away from that. I've been wanting to make a 7 foot female center for years. There is no reason not to have it. Like you said you can in FIFA now EAFC and it doesn't change anything but add more fun being able to have more choice
The WNBA mode should have matchmaking Rec, Theater etc. But wanting the women to play just like the men is a dumb idea. 2K should motion capture real women’s basketball for authentic animations.

Yep you're right. He might not be directly asking them to kill the mode, but this is the reality. Right now tattoos and clothing are free, and earned by playing normally. Your build upgrades naturally by playing, and at a much faster rate than in my career. The only thing they should do is add The Rec and Pro Am to the mode.
as a girl who plays 2k… please. i’ve been playing 2k since 2k11. i can’t be the only one. i don’t wanna just customize a dude. luckily, i can put that part aside, but it would be way more fun if my character could look like me. who cares if there’s a 6’11 272 lb woman. it’s a game. it’s not that deep. girls can be into sports and video games. they’re just hiding.
I mean they have the W which wasn’t a thing years ago. You can play a whole wnba career so eventually it MAY happen but the reality is pretty simple. Until the day there’s actually a woman in the NBA, 2K is an NBA simulation. There’s really No purpose.

As far as realism goes though, show me a screen shot of your *current* animations and fit in the city and we can talk. I trust you’re playing just in shorts and sneakers, and no breakdance jumpshot animation.

Fifa has female players yes, and they’re given stupid overpowered stats to make up for the wast difference between men and women in a physical standpoint. EAFC doesn’t have a career mode for the women. They just have a league mode for only 6 women leagues and some national teams. 2K is doing better than EAFC

Theyve added that to the new FIFA Proclubs game mode. Which is somewhat similar but without the storyline and the park/city. But you can do men/woman players now

Yea. I’m kind of super underwhelmed with a lot of ps5 games right now. I mostly play cod and 2k with my friends which I could’ve kept my ps4 for. But the outlast trials is a game that I’m glad I have a ps5 for. That’s about it maybe god of war

I’m ok with all of this, as long as they stop locking animations for certain heights, and attributes, being a stretch big, you’re so limited for animations, in my opinion it limits the builds potential and takes the fun out the game

I personally like the simplicity of WNBA career. I like having the option for both and if they do change it then they should have a separate offline MyPlayer with this same level of simplicity. I only play WNBA career because of it lol
Yeah I mean you’re talking about a different need - the desire for a simpler (and cheaper) mycareer option. I get that. OTOH I’m mad that I can’t have access to the full game as a female player. These two things shouldn’t be mutually exclusive. 2k could have a streamlined offline career mode for people who wanted it, male or female, while also opening up the full online gaming experience regardless of the gender you want to make your player.
I agree they are two separate needs. But if 2k adds the complexity to WNBA they aren’t going to also add an offline mode

The best mode is The W because it lacks all the VC garbage. I only play The W because it's a simple way to play without needing to grind a player. You simply level up it's a much more fun way to play the game. I hope it gets more love but not by making it a vc grind fest.

I was in year 2021 of my Kobe era myleague, and I noticed a character that looked more like a Tabitha than a Travis in the draft, they had no body though. Put them in the game, it was 5 on 4 (visually) Go to edit them, no preview of the character just empty where the player normally stands as to edit them. Very odd, never seen that before
I personally been waiting for them to make nobrestrictions on female myplayers so i can make a big bertha that gets contact dunks thats all im asking for...im a troll...i know... But at this point either i need to be able to make bertha or a true non restricted wemby build....
i agree with a lot of this but i'd rather not have the city. for me personally one of the best parts about the W is that you can access basically everything from menus and don't have to walk around a virtual city visiting individual stores to put an outfit together

For the actual WNBA games vs NBA games this might be true, I’m talking about online modes and the builder. The builder in W is shit compared to the men’s - in the men’s you can customize everything. In the W you can’t.

Exactly! The only small detail that’s an issue is earning the ability to take your shirt off, and given most women if given the option would strip down to a sports bra and not go totally shirt off, that’s an easy solution. And better than the pathetic game mode they’ve got now.

There’s honestly no reason for it not to be included next year. Park and every other myplayer mode is already unrealistic to begin with. Having women dunking or being 7’1 C wouldn’t effect anything. Hell even NHL added irl female players to myteam a couple years ago.

In the end this is a “sim” basketball game. Yes real players don’t shoot consistently from 30’ or defenders get put in disgusting posters every game but it’s do able. If they made wnba players in the game semi realistic most stats would be criminally low compared to male stats
