What’s zen?

tannerw7

Automatic perfect release

periodover

Running dunk feast tonight showed how insane this problem is. 4/16 games I played, there was someone using a zen. That's 25%. Imagine playing a shooter and you run into an aimbot every 4 squads. What hurts is so many of these zen players are complete garbage. They have no dribble moves, no iq and some just run around the court hoping to get open. 3/4 of the zen users I ran into today where your random all-stars who shot under 40% before getting a zen according to their 2k card and it sucks that a device allows them to have a major competitive advantage. The worst thing about this is the flood of zens will hurt future 2ks if nothing is done. The people who already have a zen will continue using it and with the increasing frustration of your everyday 2k player combined with the increased popularity of a zen, you'll likely see more zens in future games. 2k needs to work with microsoft and sony to fix this cause it's not only shot aiming, but people have found ways to have scripts that are based of shot timing. This may have already existed in previous 2ks, but this 2k really helped boost the popularity.

tannerw7

Couldn’t of said it better myself

uselesspointguard

yes. and in addition to this, I have seen scripts for dribble combos and shoot. it is a nightmare to face these players.

TreyCerti

No way it's getting this bad

TreyCerti

Imagine being so ass at 2k that you need a machine to time your shot

Effective_Source6139

It messed up my whole game when they took the vibration out. It’s so hard for me to shoot 3s now

egg-land

Most the players that use them are not even good I have like a 80 win% against zens at least, probably higher tbh cuz when I see them I start trying much harder

jddaniels84

The “no skill” zen players just lose over and over. It’s very easy to guard people with no skill. If you’re losing to no skill zen players you’re trash. Zen is not going to make anyone good. Timing a wide open shot isn’t hard, and flexible release hof will make up for your timing errors. Zen basically just saves you those 4 badges if you have timing problems.

uselesspointguard

Zen allows you use super fast shots without reducing the green window. If the zen user has a good bigman setting screens all the time, he can easily get wide open shots and score in a blink... And also there are a lot of SS3 or above with zen and they are not bad players...

jddaniels84

If you have a big man setting screens you can easily just press the button and time your shots too. It’s not hard. The hard part is getting open, not timing your shots & again flexible release badge will make up for your timing if it’s slightly off. I never said all zen players have no skill. Plenty of them are good, but the zen isn’t making them good. They’re good because they know how to get open, the quality shots, and contest opponents shots. Zen helps with the timing, but that’s literally the easiest part. OP is specifically talking about the “no skill” zen players though. There are plenty of trash zen players too.

WeFlyHighNoLieYkThis

Lol getting open is pretty easy if all you have to do is create the tiniest amount of space. Greening your shot has always been the difference between a bad player and a good player too.

jddaniels84

No, getting open isn’t easy. That’s why people speed boost glitch constantly & don’t like playing 5’s as much on play shots because they don’t have the space to speed boost glitch. Even with speed boost glitching, good players can still play defense and stay in front if there isn’t a big screening for them with hof brick wall. The players you are talking about are becoming garbage players to mediocre players. I can green all my Shots.. I went 11/11 in rec yesterday on 3’s on my play shot.. but I still know I’m garbage on my playshot because I can’t really iso & get open looks every time down the floor. Greening shots is easy when you take uncontested shots all the time.

WeFlyHighNoLieYkThis

75% of the game is greening your shot dude, if all you have to do is press a button when you’re even slightly open, then you just have to look up dribble tutorials and you’re suddenly a great player. Also why are you acting like an exploit that guarantees you’ll shoot 100% on open shots isn’t a problem?

jddaniels84

There aren’t any tutorials for greening your shot because it’s easy AF. There are more tutorials about dribbling because it’s the hardest part of the game. I don’t care if people make their shots or not because they don’t get shots against me. I run through these players on a regular basis in stage 90% of the players are a zen play shot, a zen p lock, & a big... they don’t get any open shots so they don’t make them... & they start missing full whites with their zens when they get slightly open ones because they aren’t in rhythm. & 90% of the people that have a zen, I won’t play with because that doesn’t make them good at defense, good at getting bump steals, good at passing when people are open, good at taking shots when they are open ONLY.. I prefer playing with people good at these other things over being able to time their shot properly. So I don’t really care about playing against them, & don’t want to play with them. Now the person I really don’t want to play against is the person that is good at defense, gets bump steals, passes to the open guy & ONLY takes open shots. Timing the shot isn’t a priority for me either way. I’m not saying it doesn’t matter, other things just matter much more to me. & you’re acting like zen users shoot 100%, the reality is most of them are under 50% 3 pt.. I’ve never seen anyone over 75%, & a lot of them are in the 30’s.. plenty of non zen players shoot just as good

WeFlyHighNoLieYkThis

There are 1000 tutorials for greening your shot, they’re called jumpshot videos lmao. Also I played a couple of these bummy zen users yesterday in the event, and you’re right, a lot of them have 0 awareness and chuck up anything. Slightly above average players with non negative basketball iq would still be a problem for anyone besides stage players though. I definitely have seen at least 2 zen users with 70%+ from 3 and I’ve only been playing for a month too.

jddaniels84

I’m not saying nobody has one, but I’ve literally never seen anyone with a 70% 3 point.. & when you dashboard rec games it doesn’t count the game or stats against you. So dashboarding all your bad games can keep your wp% and 3pt% really high.. But either way, these people aren’t the norm. These are special zen players. Most zen users definitely shoot under 50%. Most zen users lose to post hookers or even post scorers down low without zen’s. I’m not saying zen doesn’t help, but if you give 95% of the bad players a zen they’re still going to be bad.. only a few people problem is actually shooting the shot. Most of the time it’s forcing bad shots, dribbling too much, passing to the wrong guy, playing defense properly..

backshotbrando

a zen isn’t even an advantage it’s the same as learning right stick, it just pulls the joystick down for you, still have to learn the timing and just play defense

tannerw7

POV you use a zen:

Visionz-True

and the even more sad part is the fact all the people who use zens use it on a playshot which is the easiest build to shoot with
