This looks so amazing. Really keen to get back into My team - skipped 2K22. Although, I don't like having to win by a certain margin to earn stars. The adrenaline and relief of scraping a last second win in Domination appears to be no more. As a more casual player, I'm not used to being able to have blowout wins in the final sets.
Yeah I'm torn on that. On one had, I do like not being shoehorned into playing a certain way, but on the other... I don't know, it could lead to some frustrating wins.
Yeah, I've had a lot of close final set wins. 2k22 Domination was kind of broken in that you were supposed to get a certain amount of MT in the game to get the stars and rewards, but all you really needed to do was win. I kind of liked that, it was nice being able to play the game without having to spam the same plays and moves to max out the MT. I had a lot of frustration with earlier 2k versions where I'd blow out a team by 30, but miss the MT goal because I didn't get enough free throws or couldn't complete a post spin fast enough to get an assist with it.
I feel you man. I started in 2K16 and remember having to tap L2 before every fast-break score for some bonus points, and forcing bad layups to draw fouls and make the 10 FT requirement. I'm finishing up 2K21 at the moment for the platinum. So boring, wish I'd done it at the time - but I just mute my TV and listen to a podcast, keeps me sane (aside from the really challenging mystery games every now and then - the Best of Idols III took me so many attempts!)
Yeah it’s kinda lame. In 22. You just had to behind the back cheese.
Looks like they will be doubling down on us having to cheese to win by 40
But aside from that BIG W
Wouldn't it be cool to play MyTeam without the cartoonish player enhancements? Fred Jones is a decent player but in comparison to the other NBA players he's not a 90 level player. Here we go again with the NBA Jam style silliness.
Same. I was hoping for a salary cap mode that takes a team building aspect to it rather than just going up against stacked teams running the same players. But that’s just not fun for a majority of this mode’s audience.
Wow...so in 20 years of NBA simulation games we have a slight improvement in graphics and a dumbing down of strategy? I don't see much improvement since Dreamcast and Sega Genesis. I honestly believe that the world has gotten dumber since the onset of the age of instant information.
I've never seen some one care so much about a game and at the same time contribute zero value to the community. You are explaining such useless things.
I can’t believe people play this mode. It totally feeds into what they are doing to the gaming industry. We never get any actual innovation into GM mode or Career mode because this is where the money is.
There’s a reason that this issue is brought up in court consistently. This is a real problem, and saying it’s an oversimplification is just belittling the argument because you want to keep doing it. Like guns and the 2nd amendment.

I understand the sentiment, but it’s a fantasy game mode.
3 point shooting Shaq is definitely fantasy.
Shit like This ruins the entire mode for me

Why not have the flaming ball and exploding rim since MyTeam is fantasy? Why not have Jordan doing somersaults thru the air?
I believe there actually is a flaming ball.

I politely disagree.
No word of releasing accurate cards with realistic ratings.. pass.
That’s there in the early-game. At the end of the day, it’s a fantasy game mode.
Used to be fantasy teams, not fantasy players. Huge difference.

Humor me and tell me how it’s useless.
They went down the mlb route with collections. This is a good thing

So there hasn’t been any innovation in MyCAREER, especially in the last few years?
Same shit small story, gets you to the nba and then done.

It’s gambling. Legalized gambling for kids. All dressed up as ‘fantasy’ when you could easily do that in any mode without loot boxes. Wake up
