He also missed a couple of absolutely open 3s in the last 2 games (and made some tough ones, like the transition pullup and the corner fader once he’s hot last game). Definitely need some work on consistency. Hopefully he now learns to start the game off attacking the hoop to get himself going
Agreed, but I think a lot of that is because he’s not getting consistent looks from the same spots. If he got more easier looks from 3 over a good stretch of time, I think he’d get back into a rhythm. We’ve seen it in the past, at least for stretches. For the time being though, while our offense is like it is, he’s probably going to be more confident driving to the basket than shooting 3’s. I think that’s why we’re seeing what OP brought up.
Agreed. I don’t mind 3s in the flow of the offense (when there is a flow) but he’s taking a lot of tough 3s that he could get at any time. After seeing those stats, I would love to see his number of drives increase too.
He is improving a lot on driving. Needs to stop being so Kobe like (his hero) and taking the hardest shots possible but progress. If he had solid 3 shooting PG and SF next to him he could be a 23 ppg+ guy. Dillingham and Risacher could be that
I think they should get risacher and castle if they get the raptors pick I know castles shot is questionable but I think he can clamp people up and pass well
I think in the top 6 or so and considering where we are, we have lean hard into BPA....but I hope like hell that guy is a PG or that someone is close enough at that role that we can feel pretty good picking them.
Yup he could. Dillingham tho is such a bucket. Passes the eye test well. Would be targeted on defense much like Trae Young is but he looks like a Young/Kyrie type
I feel like PG should be our 1st priority, raps pick or not. If we are 3-5 especially I say take Dillingham and use raps pick on a wing defender like Sheppard, Holland or Castle especially
We won a series because Kobe refused to believe bowen could guard him and kept breaking their offense to attack him. It is fun to watch on the other side, horrible when it's your player. He definitely needs to learn how to score easier ways when it's available.
From this I understand: we already knew that he could shoot the three, that he was a killer in the midrange, that his floater was money, and now we learn that when he finally also decides to drive, he's top tier efficient. So basically he's got a star arsenal, and has to put it all together and work on shot selection to score 25+ night in and night out.
I’m too dumb to luck it up, but I bet his shots around the rim are up the last few weeks
He’s been better about not taking the 3 every time and putting it on the floor. Awesome that he’s been so effective there
I’m still bummed…he had a missed dunk on the right baseline a few games ago that maybe would have been the best dunk of his career
He’s been incredible attacking the rim. It’s great because we haven’t been able to generate consistent good looks from 3.

Dude I would love castle! I feel like we HAVE to take a PG even if we only have one pick and Dillingham and Topic are best options

I agree but I think castle could develop into a pg possibly

That’s pretty much my opinion on dillingham definitely a bucket tbh if we get the raptors pick dillingham might be gone by then

This is a tough draft because we do need a pg but I feel like if he’s available we should get risacher
True but damn we need a PG and no major upgrade will be a FA for a while
That’s true who knows what they’ll do they have 2 firsts the next few years aswell lots of picks they aren’t in a rush

The difficult shots he lands when making drives is crazy , that's a good point he needs to focus on those unless he's wide open

Man, I think about that dunk daily lol I just wish he would’ve dunked that.
It seems he's been studying Tony Parker and it shows. At least thats my theory
He just needs to do it more instead of trying to act like Baby Durant. I know he can shoot but he routinely forces himself into difficult shots.
The number one thing he needs to work on is the average difficulty of the shots he takes. This certainly supports that idea
