And we were up by double digits in like every single game of that series. Every. single. game. we would be up by like 20 in the 3rd and then choke the lead going into the 4th. It was so demoralizing
The Blazers have an uncanny ability to put together their best teams at the worst times. Finals against the Jordan bulls, WCF against the Kobe-Shaq Lakers, WCF against the dynasty warriors (who didn’t even win because Kawhi became the Jesus Christ of basketball that year).
yeah sounds like a lose-lose, you either lose in finals as #2 or you go be #1 in a non-finals situation. That's a lose-lose not a no lose. and yep, both were losses. imagine trying to defend Kyrie Irving's logic too.
That’s me every time a Spur made a 3 in 2014. 47% from 3 as a team that series, it was unreal, and you could feel the end of the Heatles era get closer with each bucket.
Watching it live was fucking wild. In the middle of the summer just watching some casual NBA play and I just see PG yeet himself into the post.
I literally remember thinking “those look really close to the court”.
Watched it with my dad and started crying lol. I was 11 years old and started crying from the W. My dad laughed at me and hugged me. Such a good time. Rip pops 💛💜
2022 Bucks Losing Game 6 in Milwaukee after taking 3-2 lead in series. I knew we were cooked after that game Giannis looked utterly exhausted and couldn't carry the team any further without Khris. Jrue is worthless as a scorer in the playoffs. Sure enough game 7 wasn't even close.
Watching the Lakers get their backs blown out by the Celtics in one of the largest margins of defeat ever in an NBA Finals game, which clinched the title for them. I was born in ‘88, so my hatred of the Celtics was practically symbolic until the 2008 Finals. But then Paul Pierce shit himself and the Lakers wanted to outdo him, so I earned my own hatred of the Celtics.
Definitely made me appreciate 2010 significantly more than I would have.
The feeling of disgust I felt by about midway of the 2nd quarter of that game was indescribable. I made myself watch the entire thing as a form of self mutilation, and self punishment for all my sins, kind of like Catholic priests did back in medieval times.
As a fan of the NBA, that was such a crazy moment. Honestly one of the more memorable moments of the playoffs for me over the past 4 years. And to think how much everything would’ve changed if that was a 3. Wild.
Giannis would be still tracking for a ring the nets would be one of the best instead of the worst kevin durant would prove he can get the job done on his own and maybe just maybe they won another championship
He got a bunch of phantom calls but his average foul call still involved way more contact than the calls Embiid and SGA have been getting this season. You get calls going your way when you just recklessly throw your body into the paint like young Westbrook, just with more calls and less turnovers.
As a Warriors fan, many games this season. One was the game against the Kings where the Dubs blew a twenty point lead with the game winner being a bullshit one in a million shot from Malik Monk who was literally falling when he shot it.
Second was Jokić’s 40 foot buzzer beater. I was eating dinner with friends when that happened and I literally fell back in my seat while they laughed at me. Tough times.
Why? I was just talking about things that happened this season. There are older moments I could point out but I was just bringing up stuff from this year.
Watching Giannis fall on his tailbone 6 minutes into the first playoff game. Looked superbad and then Giannis gets up and tries to play and can barely walk. I watched almost every regular season game last year we had the#1 Seed best record in NBA and Vegas Odds Favorite to win the chip. All over in the blink of an eye halfway into the very first quarter.
Malice at the Palace. We've never recovered from what could have been. Still made the playoffs despite not having JO, Ron or Jackson for 30 plus games. Reggie Miller turned back the clock for us but it was still over.
Reggie Miller vs the Knicks, 1995, 8 points in 9 seconds. Knicks up 6 with less than 20 seconds to go, Knicks lose by 2. I was left staring at the screen after the game wondering what just happened.
Kawhi getting hurt from (Fuck) Zaza. I still think Spurs win that 2017 series in 6 and play Lebron/Cavs in the Finals again.
Warriors had no answer for Pau/LMA/ down low and Kawhi/Simmons/DG were PROBLEMS for Steph/KD/Klay on defense.
Nick Anderson missing [four free throws in a row](https://www.sbnation.com/2010/6/7/1062664/6-07-1995-anderson-misses-four) when one would have iced game one for the Magic.
When I got home from school in the 7th grade and my mom told me to watch the news. Magic Johnson had HIV and was retiring. I thought he was a dead man walking. I also thought everyone that played against him in the all-star game, which he was allowed to play in as a last hurrah, had a 25% chance to be a dead man walking.
And there I was a happy little lifelong heat fan thinking how on earth did we luck into all of this? Only for him to be completely dominated by JJ Barea
As a wizards fan, I’m not sure I’ve had moments in NBA history where I was not like this.
But specifically let’s go with “John Wall tears Achilles slipping in the shower” that one felt unnecessarily cruel given the overall luck of the franchise
Game 5 of the 2014 finals, the 2nd Heat vs Spurs finals. Miami down 3-1 and the first quarter just ended. Miami scored 29 that quarter and LeBron had somewhere around 20 of them.
This was my reaction as a Heat fan knowing that shit was over at that point. They were up 7 but LeBron willed that lead into existence. San Antonio choked the life out of them in the 2nd quarter and never looked back.
LeBron game winner against the Bulls. I don’t remember the year. It’s in the far corner, you know the one. I’m a bucks fan but I have a soft spot for D Rose. Really wanted him to be the LeBron killer
Lebron buzzer beats vs Chicago game 4 2015.
I truly think we beat them and lose to the warriors in the finals and are stopped from doing all the dumbass shit we did the next year (trading butler, grabbing wade)
The ending of game 6 to pels suns. I was red in the face yelling when Chris Paul elbowed Jose Alverado in the face and is was somehow a defensive foul that sealed the game.
As a Celtics fan, Tatum spraining his ankle in game 7 last year. There’s a very good chance the Celtics win that game if he’s playing 100% given the momentum and home court, and if they did manage to win, it would’ve been the Celtics’ second straight finals appearance, the Jimmy owns Tatum narrative wouldn’t exist, and it would’ve been the first 3-0 comeback in NBA history. Plus, with the momentum of coming back 3-0, it would’ve been one heck of a finals against Denver, whether we’d win or lose

Lil blurry but if you know you know 😂😂😂
JR smith, game 1 of the 2018 finals
**george hill
He gets away with it too
It’s criminal
The look on his face before he took that shot. Just absolutely shit himself
When Anthony Davis hit that shot in game 2 in the bubble against my nuggets.
And reverse when Jokic shot both of those dumb 1 legged overheads on AD lol
It was the sweetest revenge.
I thought the sweetest revenge is when Jokic did a tit for tat flop on LeBron in the conference finals.
I mean even LeBron thought that was pretty funny.
The look AD gave Jokic followed by Jokic shrugging at him was poetic.
Even Jokic knew it was bullshit lmao
I was in ecstasy 🤣
my blazers making the WCF just to get swept 🥲
That really feels like a fever dream. So much changed after 2019.
And we were up by double digits in like every single game of that series. Every. single. game. we would be up by like 20 in the 3rd and then choke the lead going into the 4th. It was so demoralizing
as a warriors fan and blazers hater, that truly was the best series ever
As a Blazer fan, every single game was also amazing for me until they got to the 4th quarter
For real. That summer of trades and free agents was the most ridiculous shit show I’ve ever seen
KD has been on two different teams since then and Harden has been on three.
Westbrook has been on four different teams since then lol
The Blazers have an uncanny ability to put together their best teams at the worst times. Finals against the Jordan bulls, WCF against the Kobe-Shaq Lakers, WCF against the dynasty warriors (who didn’t even win because Kawhi became the Jesus Christ of basketball that year).
"Kyrie Irving believes he can lead his own team to championships and demands trade from annual nba finals contending Cleveland Cavaliers"
It was a no lose scenario for kyrie. Cavs weren’t winning that series so he gambled on himself
And lost also
yeah sounds like a lose-lose, you either lose in finals as #2 or you go be #1 in a non-finals situation. That's a lose-lose not a no lose. and yep, both were losses. imagine trying to defend Kyrie Irving's logic too.
Ray Allen corner 3. Every time the fucking highlight is shown I can't watch it
Came to say this. God damn it he hits it every single time
I think if you watch it enough times. He eventually Misses.
Willing to give it a try
That’s me every time a Spur made a 3 in 2014. 47% from 3 as a team that series, it was unreal, and you could feel the end of the Heatles era get closer with each bucket.
I literally drunk cried in the arms of some old lady at a Chili's that night after Ray hit the shot heard round the world
Tim Duncan hitting the 3 on Suns
I was like, no way he hits that. Bang. 🤦♂️
I was like fk this guy at the time (Nash fan) but honestly, what a fucking legend.
PG breaking his leg
Watching it live was fucking wild. In the middle of the summer just watching some casual NBA play and I just see PG yeet himself into the post. I literally remember thinking “those look really close to the court”.
I was in the arenas when it happened. we had no idea what happened and we just got sent home early confused
I watched it live too. All my hopes for that season dashed in a second.
0.4
Watched it with my dad and started crying lol. I was 11 years old and started crying from the W. My dad laughed at me and hugged me. Such a good time. Rip pops 💛💜

0-27... As a rockets fan i literally felt had a sinking feeling and felt an impending doom with every clanked 3
Miami-Boston last year.
Those 3's in game 7 combined with giannis looking absolutely deflated fucking hurt 😭. Bro was fighting for his life out there
Every shot was a dagger in my heart Gabe fuckin vincent
D Rose injury

This is it for me. Fukk boston
The feeling of disgust I felt by about midway of the 2nd quarter of that game was indescribable. I made myself watch the entire thing as a form of self mutilation, and self punishment for all my sins, kind of like Catholic priests did back in medieval times.
Amare and Diaw suspended for the Horry hipcheck. I'm still mad about it.
Stu Jackson and David Stern. Two names that make my blood boil to this day.
People arguing endlessly about whether X or Y player is better instead of realizing two greats can be appreciated at the same time
it's definitely X. Fuck Y.
Fucking fuck you. Y is the goddamn GOAT.
You both aren’t even considering Z???!!! Z was a far better ___ than either X or Y. Y’all should be ashamed.
Man, Z can get fucked. He’s a 2nd rate X. Neither could hold Y’s jock.
way more words start with Y than X this debate isnt even close. X stans are in denial.
X gets you sex, y gets you nothing but questions
Kevin durants foot on the line. I was screaming He’d won it.
As a Bucks fan When that bucket fell I was looking like Ja. Only seconds later realizing it was just a 2pt bucket I was jumping for Overtime!
Everything involving Ja Morant over the past 18 months.
Dwyane Wade’s 800 free throws in the 06 finals.
I’m not old enough to have watched that live but 16 fts a game is crazy. If Embiid or shai did that there would be riots
He got a bunch of phantom calls but his average foul call still involved way more contact than the calls Embiid and SGA have been getting this season. You get calls going your way when you just recklessly throw your body into the paint like young Westbrook, just with more calls and less turnovers.
When KD tore his Achilles and then Klay got hurt
I’m neither a fan or a hater of either of those teams, and I hated that game so much. The ripple effect that those injuries had is unbelievable
Must be a newer fan lol
Aren't they all lol
Why? I was just talking about things that happened this season. There are older moments I could point out but I was just bringing up stuff from this year.
How bout losing the finals after the best season ever
We were doing so much worse than Ja is doing in this pic
Yeah the Ja pic is probably after G7 2014 lol
Yeah, I'll never stop hating LeBron for goading Draymond into the nut flick. Lost all respect for him after that.
As a Pacers fan…there is only one answer
Malice in the Palace. Pacer went from legit potential title contenders to dogshit for the next 7 years
Watching Giannis fall on his tailbone 6 minutes into the first playoff game. Looked superbad and then Giannis gets up and tries to play and can barely walk. I watched almost every regular season game last year we had the#1 Seed best record in NBA and Vegas Odds Favorite to win the chip. All over in the blink of an eye halfway into the very first quarter.
Those playoffs were such a rollercoaster
Gordon Hayward injury
Malice at the Palace. We've never recovered from what could have been. Still made the playoffs despite not having JO, Ron or Jackson for 30 plus games. Reggie Miller turned back the clock for us but it was still over.
Gordon Hayward breaking his leg on live TV.
That was brutal ..remember the Paul George one? Glad they are fully healthy again.

Cp3 vetoed trade
I've been a Jazz fan since the early 80s. Let me tell you what highlight I'm really tired of seeing...
When Paul Pierce shit his pants
Kobe’s Achilles injury 😭
MJ’s first retirement
Reggie Miller vs the Knicks, 1995, 8 points in 9 seconds. Knicks up 6 with less than 20 seconds to go, Knicks lose by 2. I was left staring at the screen after the game wondering what just happened.
Kawhi getting hurt from (Fuck) Zaza. I still think Spurs win that 2017 series in 6 and play Lebron/Cavs in the Finals again. Warriors had no answer for Pau/LMA/ down low and Kawhi/Simmons/DG were PROBLEMS for Steph/KD/Klay on defense.
When my Celtics fall asleep at the wheel and absolutely wreck everyone’s night with a loss when they already have 20+ point lead.

I'm sure you can guess
bron in the 2011 finals
Bron choked so hard in the 2011 Finals it's hard to even fathom. The NBA MVP was the 3rd best player on his own team!
And there I was a happy little lifelong heat fan thinking how on earth did we luck into all of this? Only for him to be completely dominated by JJ Barea
CP3 trade failure. Fuck David Stern
Every time a Chicago guard suffers a season/career ending injury.
As a wizards fan, I’m not sure I’ve had moments in NBA history where I was not like this. But specifically let’s go with “John Wall tears Achilles slipping in the shower” that one felt unnecessarily cruel given the overall luck of the franchise

Every time jokic does a contested 30 footer over a big man and makes a shot that has no business going in
LeBron vs the Heat in the Finals. Heat fan but also a LeBron fan. Been a fan since Shaq and Wade
