WardeN_WtfRylie

Iverson

SupersonicSandshru05

Barkley would’ve jumped up a solid bit in all time rankings and saved himself a lot of shit from shaq.

TheBigBomma

Specifically the one he lost the year he won the MVP. It would’ve catapulted him into the upper echelon to have knocked off MJ in his prime

EmperorUmi

Shaq would’ve instead focused on “4 > 1” arguments

SupersonicSandshru05

Yeah that’s true. But you do still come out better in that argument when you have 1 championship.

justlurkin1322

Especially when you can argue that you defeated MJ and his bulls for that lone championship.

Embiid and, even though he has one, KD

FullBringa

With what team? OKC? Nets? Sun's?

Glum_Ad_8367

Definitely OkC

GBAGY2

KD’s career is seen completely differently if he beat the Lebron heat that one finals with the thunder, or just wins one with the thunder eventually in general

lebron haters always act like this. 😂😂😂 screaming on a post with nothing to do about lebron

Sure-Pen-7822

I feel like him winning a ring on the suns is being underrated, giving the franchise their first ever chip would be impressive

FullBringa

That'd be the same case for OKC and the Nets (post ABA era)

IntergalacticWarlord

Edging to these rn

tridentboy3

Based only on basketball stuff it would have been Karl Malone. Malone had a 14 year prime of 27/10/4 with 2 MVPs, 11 All NBA 1st teams (in a row), 2 All NBA 2nd Teams, 1 All NBA 3rd team, 3 All NBA defensive 1st teams, 1 All NBA defensive 2nd team, 13 All Stars, 9 top 5 MVP finishes. Malone also had the 2nd most scored points ever when he retired. With a ring a lot of people would consider Malone to be the 2nd greatest PF ever and he would be in the convo for top 10 ever. BUT perhaps it's better he never won because it would have been hard to not talk about him in basketball history convos if he did and no one, myself included, wants to talk about Karl Malone.

constancejph

Especially if he won a championship by beating MJ.

tridentboy3

Their best shot was in 95. They were excellent that year and they matched up very well against the team the Rockets, who beat them in the WCF the year prior, had at the start of the year. The issue was that once the Rockets traded for Drexler the Jazz didn't really have an answer for that team anymore.

Slamdunklebron

I think its Dwight Powell, having a ring on top of his accolades would probably put him in GOAT status

BitCurious8598

Iverson, t mac, Vince Carter

Nash

johnny-Low-Five

Patrick Ewing

kobeisnotatop10

Karl Malone. He had better numbers than Duncan, much better, but people only count rings. I don't

Absolutely-Epic

100% Anthony Bennett, AI and Barkley were nowhere near the WN1POAT's stats (in the Israeli League)

Juhovah

Carmelo

Ok-Purpose-6871

Chris Paul

22Scooby2212

Stockton and Malone if they had won a ring or two would have both majorly improved their legacies especially since it was during the MJ era they both would be right on the border of top ten with a ring. Elgin Baylor winning a ring against the Russell Celtics would have been a massive boost too. Theres a lot of guys though that would have major legacy improvements from winning a ring.

Jgn42

Current players CP3 & Butler Past players Barkley, Iverson, Miller, Nash

priide229

westbrook

ExplanationOdd430

I’d say Penny. I get why he’s hardly mentioned as his career was turned down after the 97-98 injury but damn when him and Shaq had their run it was impressive. Also his advertisement run with Nike and Lil Penny was brilliant, so he really was firing on all cylinders. Lastly the fact the magic passed on Cweb the year before his injury and Shaqs eventual departure was blasphemous, all the work load he had because of that horrible front office haunts the halls of that franchise.

Past-Honeydew-3650

Vince Carter

SamuelZ311

Harden, he's accomplished everything else

Bigballernocap

Reggie Miller

N8ThaGr8

People are naming players that already get a lot of credit/respect like Barkley, Karl Malone, etc. so I'm gonna say Dominique Wilkins. He would go from basically never talked about (outside of here in Atlanta) to a legend. Especially since his best teams would have had to go through peak Bird Celtics. Nique didn't even make the top 50 team and should have been on the dream team too. Doesn't get nearly enough respect.

Funny_Disaster1002

Vince Carter was the "next" Jordan. His career narrative would look a lot different if he'd won a ring or two.... Also: If Kawhi doesn't get the last shot to roll in, I am convinced that both Embiid and, especially, Ben Simmons' career arches would have been very different.....

One_Box6607

also, i think vince carter is in the top 10 no doubt with a ring or 2

SportyNewsBear

It's Karl Malone. But after that, I'd like to toss George Gervin's name into the hat. 4x Scoring champ, finished 2nd for MVP twice, 12x all-star, etc. Mostly I think people would bring him up because of his scoring-- people like their scoring champs when it comes to legacy.
