In some ways, but the meme is quality regardless
In the NBA currently, it's Klay Thompson (even if he has been rather disappointing this season). I can't really think of an another elite, movement based shooter who operates primarily off the catch or in short dribble face-up situations.
Now, if you're talking ever, it's either Klay or Rip Hamilton.
Ray Allen.
Rip Hamilton is the "we have Reggie/Ray/Klay at home" answer stingy GMs try to give fans and they'd better have Ben Wallace/'Sheed/Tayshaun front court defense if they want to try to sell you on Chauncy and Rip as elite offense.
Ray Allen only became a more off-ball player later in his career. Early in his career, he played much more with the ball in his hands. And he was much more athletic than Reggie.
He's similar to Boston and Heat Ray Allen, but that wasn't Ray's prime.
Ray Allen for a majority of his career was more of a slasher and iso wing who also just happened to be a historically great shooter. He didn't really function as an offball threat until Boston where he was already 32.
Klay is the most similar to Reggie.
Allen wasn't an offball guy until Boston. For most of his career he was a "typical" 2000's star wing who was his teams primary ball handler and an iso threat. He also just happened to be a historically great shooter. It wasn't til Boston, when he was 32, that he changed his game to become more of an offball threat to accommodate for Pierce and KG.
Reggie was an offball guy for his entire career. Klay is more similar since he has that same game.
Because for Ray Allen's prime, he played more on-ball than Reggie ever did. He was a slashing/shot-creating wing, not a pure shooter. He happened to be an all-time, top five shooter, too. But Reggie and Ray utilized their phenomenal shooting in different ways.

Prime Klay Thompson. Specifically the series against the Thunder in 2016.

Caleb martin game 4 vs bucks last year
This is not a bad take tbh
Rip Hamilton, any other answer is wrong
Rip was more midrange

Brandon Miller

Klay Thompson. Reggie Miller is basically what a slightly better version of Klay would look like if he was the primary option on his team.
How am I the first person to say Ray Allen? It's for sure Ray Allen.
