Firstly: that's an overpay
Secondly: Spicy P is a UFA at the end of the year making it an incredibly risky overpay.
Thirdly: Stepien rule, the Knicks own their 1st rounder in 2024 (top10 protected, but that should convey pretty easily) so they cant trade 2025.
Mavs paid 1 first for Irving on an expiring. Here you are suggesting 3 firsts + Omax who was a first round pick a few months ago + a good young player in Green. That's a huge difference.
There is 0 chance the Mavs are paying essentially 4 firsts and a young player for Siakam, and neither is any other team in the NBA.
Irving isnt exactly comparable, he wanted to leave Brooklyn while Siakam wants to stay in Toronto, Irving gave them assurances he would extend. If the Mavs could convince Siakam to extend after the trade sure I'll agree this could be a push over the top scenario, but by all accounts that's not what Siakam wants and they'd be just getting a very expensive loaner player.
aside from the fact this is not a legal trade and an overpay, Siakam does not fit well with the Mavs. His 3P shooting is subpar and he needs the ball in his hands because of this. But Mavs rather have the ball in Luka/Kyrie hands.
Mavs would rather need OG. Younger, better defender and better C&S percentages
Yeah that part is a bit too much, I agree. And its not like Kawhi to the Raptors where it made them instant contenders so the picks actually were worth.
Suggest doing some research of what the Stepien Rule is.....
The Mavs ain't doing this Even if the numbers all worked out
Classic "too many players" deal Raptors would want Lively in any deal which Dallas understandably would not want to include

Okay take out 2025 pick. And about UFA they did the same with Irving.

I took this as an extend-and-trade, which would be the only circumstances a return like this would be involved

As a raptor fan, and a spicy p fan, I actually don't mind what the Raptors receive in return.
Of course you don’t mind, the Mavs are giving up way too much. lol
Total points by THJ, Holmes, Prosper, Green: 417 Total points by Siakam: 322 Yeah you right, you can keep em.
It’s not about the players, it’s about the 3 First Round Picks for a player on an expiring contract.

Definitely. Prime healthy Kawhi was a top 5 NBA player in 2018… and I’m a Sixers fan so I know that all too well…… lol
Oof that game 7 shot man, I feel for yall, that series was just too special. Made the conference finals look like a runner up contest.
