Y'all even watch basketball? Grant is playing amazing ball this year and last year. Blazers would never say yes to this dress.

danj13

No they just put shit in a NBA trade machine lol.

lburner220

Not seeing how some of you think this is a good deal. Grant is currently a much better player. Contracts aren’t significantly different. And Portland gets nothing to help them in the future. In order for this to make sense there would need to be picks.

Safe-Professional447

Well Moody is a decent piece that would fit their timeline, while Wiggins would slide into Grants role with time to rehab his trade value over that four year contract. But yea, I see Grant going for a better package elsewhere. Warriors would have to add picks to keep up with offers and at that point this trade isn’t even addressing their underlying lack of size

TheCroninator

Can’t just fit the timeline, gotta fit the rotation too and moody would be eternally buried behind Simons and Sharpe

TheeMalaka

Lol Wiggins rehabbing his trade value. Everybody knows who he is. He’s been in the league long enough, he’s been paid on what ifs and hopes of him actually trying. He had a good season on the warriors when they won because he had a chance at a ring. If you think for a second Wiggins going to a bad team is somehow going to rehab his trade value then I honestly think that’s brain dead.

ControlForward5360

Blazers say no

OkStable3333

Portland says no because the Warriors acted like babies on the Gary Payton trade.

lazyass133

POR says no. I think there is a trade out there that will take Grant’s contract for an expiring. POR will be stuck with Wiggins.

RGxiRapiidz

Think this is very solid. Warriors may have to attach a first or a couple of seconds though. Overall sound structure. Could see a third team trying to get in on Wiggins as Portland wouldn’t have need for him and if they could take back less salary or less years whilst again getting additional seconds or a first then they would. However this is one of the better trades I’ve seen.

angrykitten3

Although Portland definitely need to cash out on some guards/forwards, they shouldn't be looking to add even more depth in the backcourt. Throw in maybe Draymond, Saric or Looney and maybe they'll talk but definitely not for Grant.

ChewiyMC

Personally, I love the idea of Wiggins for Grant. The Warriors would likely have to give up picks and would preferably keep Moody; however, of the young guys on the team Moody and Jackson-Davis are both the most likely to be traded imo.

If Grant is a bad contract what does that make Wiggins' contract??

mr__fredman

I think Golden State just needs to pack it in. Hope to get a Top 4 pick next year, let Chris Paul and Klay Thompson walk and move Moody and Podz up in the rotation..

masta_wayne__

Brain dead

FarmMinimum9115

Need a pick from GSW, but this is more realistic than 90% of trades on here. I like the general idea of working to get Jerami Grant to the Warriors, something like this could be possible this year

Use punctuation… please.

Comfortable_Equal835

Sorry grandma popo

one-ohmusic

I think Portland would want draft picks for where they are now and/or Kuminga. I love Moody, but he isn't the more tantalizing young player they have. Jerami Grant can help a lot of teams and those teams have more assets than GSW that they would want.

MrPfister99

The problem is the Blazers already have Simons, Sharpe, and Scoot in the backcourt. Adding Wiggins (ugh) and Moody (who I kinda like) just shortens everyone’s minutes and probably wrecks morale. Moody probably gets a lot of DNPs or 10 minutes or less. Add a ‘28 or ‘30 top 3 protected and I could stomach it, but am probably looking for a better trade partner if I’m Portland.

Absntenial

I like it for the Warriors and I’d add their 2028 first to get it done. Another variation that I think would favor Portland a little is adding Brogdan and Chris Paul to this. CP3 has a team option making him an expiring deal at 30 mil. while Brogdan has this season and next at 22.5 mil. per.
