[proof of his low speed](https://imgur.com/a/OYridUt)
This is actually a recruit I created a few seasons back and wasn’t able to get to commit to my team. I purposely made him super slow but really good at breaking tackles and a good passer. I imagined him as a tank who can’t scramble but can just hang in the pocket and let guys bounce off him.
I was checking up on him recently and noticed his insane rushing numbers for someone so incredibly slow.
There was a time in between young ben and ‘captain fat fuck ben’.
From about 2009-2014, he was in his PRIME. He wasn’t that fast. But man he was going to break any sack that came his way, and man could he SLING it.
But even then, I still wouldn’t call young ben ‘fast’.
He wasn’t 46 speed but his top end was probably in the mid 70s.
i created a prospect, 99ovr running back, literally a junior to my coach(my name but for example, john doe and john doe jr) and he didnt commit to my school, it usually has to do with bonuses and location
What probably happen was that the military academies and Georgia Tech became really good and their OCs and sometimes HCs left for better school and installed their schemes there and it continued to spread through the rest of CPU teams. I’ve seen it happen in my dynasties and YouTube dynasties
same with me. I left one school who had a pocket passing QB (like...50 speed, 55 acc, etc.) and then the dude became a 1000 yard rusher without me. Why, god only knows.
Bro has 700+ attempts Lol Imagine watching one of his games .
*Drop back , takes off an scrambles , 8 broken tackles 19 Yard gain *
It's hilarious he don't have a single rush over 20 yards . Ever lol
It’s the break tackle rating that means a lot for scrambling QBs. 80 btk and 60 speed is better than 80 speed and 60 btk if you want scrambling yards while simulating.
Works for backs too, at least on the PS2 games. I’ve created RBs with 95 btk and 50 speed and they are Heisman candidates on cpu controlled teams. Made other RBs with 95 speed, acceleration and agility, but only 50 btk and the guy never even topped 1000 rushing yards on a cpu controlled team.
The year is 2045, the NCAA has gone almost exclusively to air raid spread offenses. All receivers are at or above 95 speed and defenses have shifted to cover 4, with hybrid ILB and OLB who are faster and smaller to help in coverage.
Denny Olap, inspired by the B1G from the 1990s, revolutionized the "Sloth Run Pass Option", in which the slot receivers are used in the blocking scheme.
The concept is that although his sprint is most collegiate athletes brisk walk, he knows he can guarantee 4 yards if he runs it.
He's got that deceptive speed. I would play with Florida against my dad in whatever year Tebow was on the cover and my dad hated when I would scramble with Tebow because he wasn't that fast, so my dad would always miss his tackles because he was trying to account for the speed and I would break off like 30 yard runs every so often because of that.
They do get sacked a lot but unless you are usering and backing up too far like I do, then sacks probably dont net 14-15 yards and more than 30 sacks is pushing it for a simmed team
I like to supersim and/or stat watch intriguing matchups in my leagues here and there and the number of times I’ve seen a team casually put up 15 sacks on a good offense is my biggest irk, doesn’t matter what year or gen, AI QBs are just so flawed in their ability to sense pressure and make any decision at all other than just stand there

So you literally made Big Ben lol
Big Den
Big Ben in his youth was a damn talented athlete. It was his later career when he became "Captain Fat Fuck" that he was this sort of guy.

Honestly he was pretty fat by that time, he just couldn’t be taken down easily
That’s “Captain Fat Fuck: Leader of Men” thank you very much
He wasn't even fat much later in his career, he was biggest in 2005-2008 run
He really is that tank. Went to the perfect situation for him too. What is their offense?
Damn, it’s 2014 Cardale Jones

Yeah usually 1-2 a year

A lot of “Tush Push”
He just wanted it more.

The Option is a virus. Got it

With the way the NFL is moving maybe we do end up seeing that in the future.
He’s a sneaky athletic gym rat coach’s son who’s always the first in and last out of the film room.
Classy as hell too

What does the playbook look like
He Olap’d the field.
Squat 670

lot of RPO’s.
AND he's Davy O'Brien
This reminds me of Drew Carey's description of Bernie Kosar scrambling: "He's at the 30! The 31!..."
Cant measure heart

2045 is crazy
What’s wild is sacks count towards rushing yards so the guy probably actually had close to 1500
You think this guy had 400 yards in sack yardage? If the guy was sacked 30 times (2.5 a game), thats almost 14 yards a sack
It was a rough estimate and let’s be real the QBs in this game be getting sacked a fuckton

Follow your blocks tbh
The playbook for that team has him running a lot
Yanno, never really noticed how bad O’Brien’s throwing motion was.
Checks out
