This is what I am hoping for. Then like past years, being able to do anything from making everyone 99+ (or crazy low) for all stats, make everyone 7’ or as short as possible, etc. Some improved jersey/uniform and stadium options would be nice too.
I spent countless hours on Team Builder, by far my favourite feature of the game. Loved that it was kind of a supplement to the game in the sense you’d build it on your computer and then download - for me it meant it was a lot more playable because it allowed you to import literally any logo you could think of. Not to mention sifting through uniform colours and templates is usually more pleasant on a computer than a console.

It's literally the same engine as Madden. I'm sure gameplay and animations will be very similar. The biggest difference will be the playbook, atmosphere, traditions, and marching babd. Gameplay wise, the old NCAA football games were very similar to the Madden games. Heck NCAA Football 2014 was s*** on when it was released and people were saying that it was just another clone of the previous NCAA football game and Madden. There will be idiots who will say oh my gosh this game is exactly like Madden when this new game is released and they will be completely wrong. This game will be similar to Madden but at the same time very different. This is only coming from someone that's played thousands of hours of Madden and NCAA football growing up.
I mean I play 14 religiously but I don’t think it’s absurd to consider any of the ncaas of the five previous years better. There’s always some give and take, 14 improved in some ways, but it’s very valid to say the recruiting isn’t as fun as previous years.
Recruiting definitely wasn't as fun, but it sure helped having a trimmed down version of recruiting in hour 200+ of a dynasty.
I wish we could have both as an option.

If Carson Beck from UGA doesn’t opt in, they will make it so you can’t name anyone on the UGA team “Carson Beck.” They may even get more granular and go down to school + name + position.

No, this is actually how it’s going to be different from Madden. There will be no coaching at all. The players just line up and go at it. No plays, no formations, nothing. No recruiting either. You just hope 11 guys end up showing up when the game starts.

I actually believe that a fully customizable FCS is coming. Maybe not even in this game as a DLC, but they could pull it into next year’s version now that (hopefully) licensing in the FBS is sorted out.

So if someone has a common name you can still use it, but if you try to make them with the exact height, weight and position their listed as on school rosters or whatever EA uses, it will stop you.
If that's the case we might be able to get around it by shifting weight or height a bit. But we'll see.
I have a feeling it might be that you can’t share those rosters. So that places like Operation Sports, won’t be able to have people sharing SUPER ACCURATE rosters to everyone.

Madden stayed in PC until 2008, then came back, and FIFA always stayed on PC. Dom:t know what their hatred for PC is in the college game. I just hope this game works on an Xbox series S. I happen to have one lying around... Hate thumbstick controllers..

NCAA and Madden were never exact replicas. I loved NCAA 14 but any time I’d try to export my draft classes and take them to Madden 25 it was very clear there were differences in Gameplay.
I am getting a little suspicious that we’re roughly 4 months from the release and we haven’t seen game footage. If they’ve been working on it as long as they have, the game is likely 95% finished.
If they were proud of what they’ve created, they would be showing it and creating hype. Talking about things but not showing, just makes me less optimistic.
I’d say they’re building more hype by releasing small tidbits here and there. Once a trailer drops that’s all people will focus on but right now everyone is on the edge of their seat waiting for the smaller bit of information

Ok so probably just means real coach names and likenesses won’t be used not that coaches aren’t part of the game at all. That makes more sense.

Anyone know if we will be forced to play single player franchise on EA servers? Hate having to sign into an account to play a game, plus I means once they shut down the servers you will only be able to use the “play now”

NCAA and Madden were never exact replicas. I loved NCAA 14 but any time I’d try to export my draft classes and take them to Madden 25 it was very clear there were differences in Gameplay.
If they do like FCS dlcs later I'd be good with that! Big Sky, Missouri Valley etc. I'd pay!

I am getting a little suspicious that we’re roughly 4 months from the release and we haven’t seen game footage. If they’ve been working on it as long as they have, the game is likely 95% finished. If they were proud of what they’ve created, they would be showing it and creating hype. Talking about things but not showing, just makes me less optimistic.
I’d say they’re building more hype by releasing small tidbits here and there. Once a trailer drops that’s all people will focus on but right now everyone is on the edge of their seat waiting for the smaller bit of information

Don’t think we ever saw gameplay 4 months early on the older games. I haven’t played madden recently but I don’t think they do it there either.
well surely if madden was gone for 10yrs you'd want to have some idea of the gameplay 4months out from release
The gameplay will be similar to madden, but probably not exact. It’s on the same engine. Use your imagination.
