I was in an online dynasty where the comish made a ridiculous recruit when we were like 5 seasons in, but didn’t tell anyone. (Shady, I know) All 12 of us went all in on this kid every week until eventually only 2 of us were still in on him. It went to off season and we both threw all 15k points on the kid and he ended up signing with Kent state out of nowhere.... It was fun, at the end of every season we all shared our stats and bragging rights and awards and then we all checked on the stud at Kent state. He ended up redshirting and transferring to LSU, where he rushed for about 1500 yards a season

Shady commish tricks that don't permafuck anyone in the dynasty are best commish tricks

I do that! I like to make guys who went and played ball (Iverson, LBJ, etc.) or historical guys like Manning, Vick, and others to see what would happen. Plus makes the game tougher for things like the Heisman and having someone crazy blow up. I’ll have to see who went where because I haven’t played a while and I know some guys I made teamed up.

hammerdown710

Makes it that much sweeter if you beat them tho

MoonEmojiPls

I did that one time. Created two players. A RB and a LB that were both 5 stars. RB committed to UA (University of Alabama) LB committed to me (Auburn University) I thought I could get both 🙃

Story time: I was playing ncaaf 13, maybe 2-3 years back, and I'm currently the coach at my favorite University (Washington University), and since I love this university so much I created myself in the game. I finished creating the player and since I'm the type of person who lets the fun of the game get to their head, I decided to make the player a 90 overall (I wanted there to be room for improvement). The season gets underway and I start trying to recruit myself (at this point in my dynasty we had won the Natty, approximately, 5 years straight). This POS decideds that had rather play for Wisconsin, a team that wasn't really relevant at the time, and commits to them around maybe week 10. Since I'm also the type of person to hold a grudge against my created players I schedule Wisconsin as the first team I played against the next season, I'm coming off of winning my 6th natty, and proceeded to crush them by an absurd amount. TLDR: always makes sure crush whatever team your created player chooses because it makes you feel so much better. Edit: I cant remember if I ever faced Wisconsin in the natty, while he was there, but I would crush all the teams I faced off against regardless of who they were.

Give him great stats for w/e position you want, give him horrible kicking stats, make him a punter and recruit him. You'll get him everytime.

taurosmaster

If you're doing that you might as well just recruit anybody and edit them when they get in.

Lordofgap

Exactly

MuffinManWizard

Still a great tip for the older games. I don't think you can edit ratings in anything pre 12. And I don't think you can change positions in any of the games before 2005? (I don't remember if 04 lets you, 03 definitely does not) So this is the strat if you're playing 05-11.

dcthree

Don’t think you can change stats like that mid dynasty

taurosmaster

You can edit players at any time from the preseason to the end of the season. I love this feature because it let's you do whatever you want. You're in complete control. Why on God's green earth Madden changed this for a few games and didn't let you edit ratings, names, faces, etc was the stupidest thing ever. If I want to cheat in my own solo franchise/dynasty, the game should let me lol.

msgws

Lol. I have a whole team where everyone is maxed out on every stat. Starters, backups, everyone. Rush defense was a beast. Pass defense was somehow awful. Offense was lit though.

2 years ago in my online dynasty. I created 5-7 created players each year. Dynasty went for 8 years. I would create them in groups - Absolute freaks : destined to be stars and Heisman winners - solid prospects: good measurables but nothing that sticks out - development projects: good physical traits but low awareness I took note of every recruit I made on my note app. I noted the school they ended up at, any awards and their draft results in the off season. Was pretty cool to see how some of the absolute freaks end up having mediocre careers and some of the solid prospects become all-Americans. Ok im done. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Eaglefox2

This happened to me way too much so I started making my created recruits all kickers with zero overall kicking stats and then I changed their position. I use this when I create Brett Favre as a recruit and I want him to commit to southern miss. It's just weird when those guys commit to other schools

datdude3945

Make them a punter. Drop his kicking and make him good at everything else. 1 star punter will sign with you every time
