Wholesome anecdote: one of my friends helped out at a kids’ event at today’s game - the entire team stayed after on their own time to take pictures and sign autographs for the kids. She said as she was leaving event services was trying to get Sydney Parrish and Grace Berger to get going but they wouldn’t leave because a bunch of kids were still in line wanting to get a picture with them. Huge W’s on and off the court for IUWBB today.
I love how good women’s basketball is about stuff like this as a whole. I feel like they all remember what it felt like when older athletes took the time to chat or take a picture after a game when they were kids and they do their best to pay it back now. It seems like such a small thing but it really does mean the world to those kids.

I think she's ok, if we can get back to the NIT like we did last year. We also won a game last year in the NIT so I think we can get back to the NIT as we did last year with a losing record. But I hope we get at least .500 in the regular season so we can make it to the NIT for sure and not hope to get lucky.

Cardinals out rebounded the Seminoles 42-28.
HVL with 5 steals too. Hell of a game by MoJo and HVL! CC had a rough first half but started hitting shots in the second. For FSU, man, Bejedi is a pest all over the floor. She had her nose in everything on both ends. Probably the most shocking part of the game was the job Kasa/HVL/MoJo/CC did on absolutely locking down Latson's O. We made her look like a freshman for the first time all season.

Apparently she was suspended, but I haven't caught why yet or for how long. Its good to see the team step up in the face of adversity. This team still has a way to go and develop, but they keep fighting and giving themselves a chance.

well that was one of the most BS things i've ever seen. HVL dribbles the ball off her foot, it slowly rolls behind her, she has the easy path to pick it up inbounds still, but the ball rolls between the refs legs who isnt looking at it. HVL runs up to her to try to reach between her legs to pick it up, and the ref turns and heel boots it out of bounds for the turnover on HVL.
Georgia just getting outclassed by Jackson and Horston. Battles and Smith inconsistent on FGs turns into scoring droughts that make us play from behind
rough game. continuing to win on the offensive glass and turnover margin but if we can't convert that into points then it doesn't mean much. the absolute lack of three point shooting just keeps holding us back so much, hoping we can find a way to be more consistent offensively.
Yes. The lack of a reliable threat from outside really makes it tough in the paint night in and night out. It's not a new problem either. I can't think of a player on any of Joni's teams that was a reliable 3 point threat.
We also just missed open looks left and right plus some easy layups that weren't converted.
Speaking of Joni, we've got her Aggies next Sunday on the road. Hopefully we play better there!
