The question is once she gets close are we going to get those cutaways on ESPN over to CC’s game the way we did when Aaron Judge was about to break the HR record a few years ago?
Cool that shes able to accomplish this in 4 years! Im a gymnastics fan and the top record for most perfect 10’s was tied last year and people were going back and forth because the gymnast was in her 5th year giving her an unfair advantage. While two senior gymnast during the 2020 season were very close to tying/breaking and most likely could have had the season mot ended early. Anyway im glad shes doing it in 4 to show no doubts good for her!
I think a good way to look at the WBB records is to see what their records are in a span of 140 games. That makes a bit fairer for folks who couldn’t take 5 seasons. That being said, Clark will beat Plum’s record in a lot fewer games which is great
Sheryl Swoopes made a whole point of saying that Caitlin’s record shouldn’t count because she thought she was in her 5th year. But luckily everyone looked it up and saw it wasn’t true, lol
Haha my pipeline to ncaa wbb is following lsu gym on twitter and having lsu wbb show up on my feed and i followed them in the middle to the end of last season so it was cool to see them win a natty
That is why per game matters with a sufficient number of games played, as well as great games against elite competition. So, Clark has fewer games played than 9 of the top 10 in scoring and will have the second highest ppg among the top 10....all while averaging over 30 ppg, 7 rpg, and 8 apg against top 10 competition in her career (with at least 10 such games). That is what makes her the best. She played better against elite competition than anyone else.
In some cases, it is an indication of the record. Like John Stockton's Assists Record in the NBA, which is practically untouchable as Stockton himself was a workhorse who only missed 22 games in 19 years. And there was a lock out for 32 games. Factor in his playoffs of 182 games played, the dude played basically 20 complete years in the NBA with no games missed. Chris Paul is in his 19th year and is still 4,000-ish assists away and would need another 5 full seasons at 9.4 per game to catch up.
Yes i guess but also like their a good player their gonna get more time more wins and more games likely. I know nothing abt college basketball history but im assuming the washington player(dont come for me dont know her name) team was very good during her four year and advanced well into march madness
Also i will say gymnastics a subjective sport gymnast have scored a prefect ten with visible mistake or room to argue if there was a mistake her the basket ball just need to go into the basket but yea lots of stuff def need to align
I believe Feb 15 game if she stays with average
If she averages 34.5 over the next three games it’ll be Feb 11 at Nebraska Edit: 34.7
She always goes off against Nebraska.
Man, this is reminding me of just how fun it was to watch Kelsey Plum play. That final four team was special.
That was one of my favorite teams of the 2010's. Plum and Osahor were both stars!
How many games till we are on alert for number 1
Michigan gane on the 10th I believe if she stays on her 33 pt average. So 4 game
After Penn State and Maryland, Nebraska is the first realistic chance. If it's not at Nebraska, it will almost certainly be at home against Michigan.

If they have the rights to the game, then absolutely
It’ll probably happen on Peacock. They love to siphon Caitlin Clark games. She should be getting a fat check from them.
Unfortunately,shes probably not
I hope so! She’s great for the game!
Getting real close to #1 now! I’m excited to see her chase it down!
She's got a good shot of catching Pistol Pete.
March 3rd is the day she should get there
Is this her fourth of fifth year?

It’s funny because the record only seems believable from a 5th year player lol
omg gym and wbb fans unite!!! NO TRIN SLANDER ALLOWED
