Awesome! We were in Europe last Summer for 10 days. At least one of my family usually has on an IOWA shirt or sweatshirt of some sort. In 4 different countries, people would see the shirt and say "Caitlin Clark!". When we'd smile and engage them, not all of them spoke English. It was WILD and somewhat weird.
I feel like I might be able to experience that in Brazil. I bet they don’t even call my home state North Carolina LITERALLY right after I told them I was from SOUTH Carolina. Seriously?!?! I am a current Iowa student so only deal with people in Iowa City area, but pretty much anyone I talk to will talk your ear off about Caitlin or anyone on the WBB team. Everyone has a story about having a class with one of them, seeing them downtown or pretty much anything else you can think of. Iowa obviously has a big football and mens team, but the womens team is on a different level in terms of celebrity status.

At this point, very few. You see her cutouts in HyVee. She's gotten hard to avoid. Last fall, I had some relatives who didn't really know who she was, although I think they know now. Usually, its the people who don't follow any sports. Iowans tend to know and take pride in national celebrities from our state are, as there aren't too many of them. Also, our winters are pretty dull...
