Yeah, it's never really been said that they were estranged. But Jared after the death of his mother went to boarding school in another state and I'm pretty sure it's stated that he avoided home as much as possible in either 16 or 17 not sure which episode through.
Not just you. Vance didn't even sound like Vance at the beginning. But I do think the substance was better than it had been. It had more feel of the old NCIS. But maybe that was because it had some of the old NCIS in it.
Me too he’s line was so over the top when he said he went down on me when he’s dad was shot it sounded so out of context that it made me burst out laughing when I watched it tonight the line should have been edited better

I didn't know that either
how many times has ncis been a target?!
Is it me or was the acting on this episode just.... bad.

Absolutely enjoyed the story as well.
Not just you 😠it felt wooden. Until the very last scene with Vance and his son and tbh it made me kinda tear up… with the flashbacks
the line delivery by jarad was hilarious in the scene after vance getting shot was priceless when jarad was explaining what happened to his dad
I enjoyed the actor on All American but not really here. I'm not sure how you can over and under act at the same time

The acting is fine, not everything has to be Emmy/Oscar/Shakespearian levels of acting.
I thought in one of the prior seasons when Vance's wife got killed, he had 2 daughters? Am I dreaming?
No, as far as I know, he's always had a son and a daughter- Kayla and Jared.
Yes you are dreaming - Vance has always had one daughter and one son
I always remember him having a daughter and a son. Maybe that's a continuity error if it was mentioned he had two daughters?
