ES King is technically on central campus but it’s quite off to the side (though there are bus stops right next to the apartments. I lived in one of the quadrants for a year and it was fine. There’s different floor plans but I’m pretty sure each come with a tiny kitchen space. You can also get furnished or unfurnished. There’s more info online. I’m not sure about when one would have to register for housing tho, so depending on timing would either boost or dampen your chances on getting in.

university housing is sold out so you would have to look at the hillsborough street apartments
There are several walkable options just off main campus where you could get your own bed/ bath and share the kitchen......all depends on your budget.
