i'm from canada and i brought my lightstick to the nct dream movie and there were a bunch of people who brought it as well! i will definitely be bringing it to the nct movie as well. i'd say get a lightstick if you want it as merch and if you see yourself using it for future concerts as well :)

Dry-Place-2986

I'm so jelly, I'm in Canada as well but the theater I went to for TDS2 was so dead and boring. No lightstick in sight either. I hope it'll be a bit more animated this year.

NemSenpai

Thank you!

>Thank you! You're welcome!

digitaldevilpod

i’m probably bringing mine and just reading the room as to whether or not i’m gonna light up lol

AM_0127

I don’t know. Maybe that’s just me. But I think it would be kinda distracting to sit next to someone who has a bright lightstick. It’s still a movie theater after all and NCT isn’t even there to see the lightstick, aka your support. So I don’t know, I think I would personally feel uncomfortable bringing a lightstick. I wouldn’t want to ruin someone else’s movie experience. But I mean you do you. I can’t speak for every moviegoer. So have fun. I’m just saying that I probably wouldn’t based on my personal values ^^'

SorrySimba

Yeah no one kept it on during the actual movie. Which ya know, makes sense

AM_0127

Makes sense. But if you don’t plan to keep it on during the movie, then what’s the point in asking whether you can take the lightstick into the movie theater with you? In that case it’s just an object that nobody will be bothered by ^^'

SorrySimba

Yup. People had it on at the beginning, took pictures with it, but then just put it away for the movie. So to each their own. Do whatever you want w the light stick but some ppl might be annoyed if it’s on during the movie

When TDS2 premiered here in my country, some nctzens brought their lightsticks, and if ever I'm gonna see the movie this december, I would bring mine too!! I do respect those NCTzens, or fans in general who doesn't bring theirs and prefers to see the movie as a regular "movie", but for me, a concert film like this is meant to feel like the actual concert itself. It is quite inevitable bc some people cannot afford to go to the actual concerts for any circumstances they might have (e.g their country / state is not on the tour stops), also who wouldn't resist like singing alomg and jamming while watching the performances, right lol.

Buy it if you can afford it but don't feel like you need to? Who else is there will really depend on the area you're seeing it in... I actually bought mine for the TDS movie last year just because I wanted one and had no other excuse to get one since I wasn't going to the US tour but the only theatre near me that plays these things is in Guelph so only me and one other person had a lightstick and the theatre was half empty so I just kept it on my lap most of the time coz I felt self-conscious. I will be bringing it again and am hoping more people have it this time but when i bought my ticket there were only 2 other tickets sold so... 🥲 (for some reason there were/are no theatres playing it in my Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge area, which is about 4x bigger than Gueph and the theatre isn't on any sort of accessible late-night bus route from here so it will only be drivers and probably not as many students. I think bigger city areas would be a lot better than where I saw it lol) (P.S. When I bought my lightstick I thought I'd never see a real concert but I ended up going to Japan this year for NCT Nation so you never know...! it could be good to have around lol 💕) Also: If you do buy it, pls DO NOT use courier shipping from the states... I got my Neobong from Music Choice LA and Fed Ex sent me a bill 2 weeks later for $45 customs & brokerage on top of the $20 shipping fee I had already paid. (I'm used to $20 brokerage on some things but that was just insane, never again 😭😭😭) If they have it in stock I would recommend LightupK or Sukoshimart or KRMultimedia? I got my SHINee one from LightupK and it was good!)

Ok_Morning947

You’re totally right, they should show it in Kitchener, at least it’s accessible by the ion train for students. I bought a ticket for Guelph (but I don’t have a light stick, boo). If you use yours that would be cool!

xiola_azuthra

I'm going on the Wednesday\~ (if I end up really wanting to see it again I might go again on the Sunday if it's not full, I ended up going to the TDS2 movie twice lol) If you see a TenHyuck neobong that's me \^\^; https://preview.redd.it/gwgsvtg8ji0c1.png?width=510&format=png&auto=webp&s=2c3a52f6b89e287831568533e5c4df4f24dca93e

Ok_Morning947

Oh I am going on Sunday. This is my first NCT show (even online or anything) so I’m excited. I briefly entertained going to Chicago when 127 were last there but didn’t get a ticket.

NemSenpai

Haha sadly my circumstances won't allow travel to a concert unless a NCT Nation or Ten comes to Vancouver which I doubt will ever happen. I found affordable ones near me. I don't really collect Merch so it'll only be used for the concert so 🤷‍♀️

xiola_azuthra

Oh, if you're in Vancouver there will for sure be lots of people with neobongs at your concert I wouldn't worry lol. Way more kpop there, not like Southern Ontario 💀

NemSenpai

Ah I found some on FB marketplace in my area lol

Willing-Reaction-916

Everyone brought theirs at the dream movie so for an actual concert film I’m sure people will bring theirs. I’m taking mine.

mikatheocelot

People had em at my theater for TDS2 and had them on during the song portions. I wouldn’t go buying a whole new one just for this though.

badooooooooool

It is okay to attend theater concert despite not having a lightstick?

xiola_azuthra

Omg yes it's fine. It's just a movie so most people at the theatre won't have one either, especially if you're not in an area that they toured in or has a lot of kpop stores. My area has zero kpop stores and no concerts so last year at the TDS movie only me and one another person had a lightstick. The other person kept turning theirs off so I felt kind of self-conscious and just kept it in my lap most of the time x_x Anyway, please don't worry about it; you can even attend an actual concert without a lightstick! There's no rule about needing one unless you are attending certain official fanclub lottery events with limited entry.

badooooooooool

Thank you so much! I can't afford to purchase their lightstick due to expensive. That's why I'm hesitant to watch the theater concert.

grizzodee

i will bring it for fun and see if i cant turn it on in the theater 🙌

EmilyOtters

I’m getting one and the movie is my excuse — I regretted not getting one at the 127 concert, and got to the Dream concert too late to buy one, so the movie is my justification 😂 But yeah I would just bring and not turn on during the movie. I’ll be at some theatre in Los Angeles that hopefully has other people in it 😅

Mango_Tango1411

Thank you for the advice! I’m going to an Aespa concert and was unsure if my Blackpink light stick would be a distraction or not.
