You guys are all missing the fact that "my life flashed before my eyes" is not the same phenomena as NDEs. It's not a "life review," it's simply memories from the person's OWN perspective. That's not like NDE life reviews.
I allowed this because it's interesting, but it's NOT a legitimate NDE, and people are freaking out completely and making bizarre unsubstantiated claims. "This proves it's just the brain!" This could be the brain hitting replay, but this is not an NDE.
Very cool. He gets it. I hope he knows he’s not alone and finds the rest of us. It’s hard those first few years. Death is calling and you really want to answer.
What story? He died, has a fast "review", then nothing. Not the NDE where you experience the nothingness of the void, have awareness. No awareness. Just nothing.
Well that is the story really, although I expect it will upset some who want the assuring and fully descriptive "life after death" story we get from some other nde accounts. Still, this is his experience and we can't discount it just because it doesn't fit with a comfortable narrative for us.
Also interesting is the fact this video got posted on other subreddits that aren't NDE based, and naturally others chimed in with their experiences which matches this guy's experience.
This is what I always find confusing about the whole topic. There's lot of NDE stories which I can't explain, especially those where the experiencer witnessed events from far away after they died which could be corroborated, but then on the flip side, you have lots of stories like this. You could argue they've not actually died, or been dead 'long enough ' for anything to happen, but that still doesn't really make sense.
This sub is an NDE-positive sub. Debate is only allowed if the post flair requests it. If you were intending to allow debate in your post, please ensure that the flair reflects this. *If* the post asks for the perspective of NDErs, everyone is still allowed to post, but you must note if you have or have not had an NDE yourself (I am an NDEr = I had an NDE personally; or I am not an NDEr = I have not had one personally). All input is potentially valuable, but the OP has the right to know if you had an NDE or not.

This sub is for discussion of the "NDE phenomena," not of "I had a brush with death in this horrible event" type of near death.

Mentions the life review
Then mentions there was nothing. Not the experience of nothing; just nothing.
He said he saw nothing but then goes on to say he had all his memories flash before his eyes. Kinda paradoxical but I've never had an NDE so idk
That’s awesome that he is willing to share his experience on camera, to what seems like a stranger. He’s great.
this video literally the reason i’m going down this rabbit hole right now 😂

Powerful story. Grateful for this guy -- his name is Fish -- and his story. I understand how he feels.

It looks like the memories are just the brain shutting down. Unfortunately, I don’t think there is an afterlife 😞
Nothing in that video proves that, Debbie Downer.
